Park View is a home which has some wonderful spaces for residents to enjoy – from a beautiful light and airy atrium, a café, as well as spacious bedrooms, with ensuite wet rooms.

It's a special home, so much so that it's been shortlisted as a finalist in the Caring UK Awards 2023, for the North Care Home of the Year category.

The team provide residential, dementia and respite care, which can be booked in advance. They are passionate about Sanctuary Care’s enriching lives framework, based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

For example, many of the residents love gardening, so the home has its own vegetable plot, where they love to grow their own produce. Some residents love to cook, so the chef devotes time to running regular cookery and baking sessions.

At residents’ meetings, they discuss activities they would like to do. For example, this summer they talked about a seaside trip, so the team organised a day at Cleethorpes Beach, a destination chosen by the residents. More animal visits were wanted, so they recently welcomed Shetland ponies along.   

Other activities the residents enjoy doing include gentle exercise sessions, live music, trips out into the community and pampering in the hairdressing salon.

The team regularly take residents to the ‘Motion Games’, where they join other care home residents for mini-Olympic games. They love it so much, the team have recreated many of these activities back at the home, like bean bag throwing, parachute games and badminton.   

Many of the residents love spending time with children, so the team involve their families in the home. Staff brought their children in fancy dress for a Disney themed party recently, where they sang and danced with the residents.

There is also a private Facebook page, for families and friends of the home.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1146 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Friendly welcoming atmosphere. The lounge is comfy and very clean, able to sit and chat. The food is well-cooked and tasty. Residents are happy and cheerful.

Mum has been in for respite a few times over the past 12 months and has been well cared for. She seems happy to be there so we have decided she will be going in permanently within the next few weeks. We are happy to make this decision as the staff are very friendly and caring.

My father has been a resident at Park View Sheffield since April. He has dementia and I was devastated that we were at this point as a family but when I took him in the staff welcomed him with all they knew and it was like they had been his friends for years. It has taken time to settle but after 6
weeks we are getting there. He does the gardening which is what he loves. The garden plays such an important part of Dad's life he couldn't be happier. The staff are fab to all of us. We come and go like it's our home too. The home is amazing not only in terms of looking like a 5-star hotel but the food, the activities, the warmth. We couldn't be happier that this is a great place for Dad so he is safe, warm, fed and cared for. I can call or go in when I want. He is cared for and safe so thank you to all of you for making us so welcome and more importantly making Dad feel welcome and happy.

Park View was our first choice for Mum a couple of years ago. She is very well looked after. The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. With Mum's Alzheimers and unsteady walking, she falls a lot. The staff always phone my sister straight away to inform her. The care they give is amazing.

Wanted to say how excellent the staff are at Park View Care Home (Sheffield). The care and compassion they give to all residents is so heartwarming. My mum has a lot of falls; I've always been contacted and on the occasions I've had to go with her to hospital, the staff have always been with my mum,
waiting for me and the ambulance crew to arrive to take her. They genuinely care.

Mum has been at Park View for 4 years now and I cannot fault the care she has received. The staff are amazing and they all deserve a medal. Mum has advanced dementia now so cannot really interact with the entertainment programme, however, there are plenty of activities for the residents to partake in.
Meals are first-class and plentiful - 3 good meals a day and cake and biscuits in between. Like being in a 5-star hotel. Thank you Park View for everything you do for my Mum.

Dad has been back at Park View only a couple of weeks after being in hospital for a while, but the care, patience and love he has received has been fantastic. The staff at Park View are really lovely nothing is too much trouble they are always ready to have a chat with us aswell as giving Dad the best

I have always found Park View to be a clean, bright and friendly place to visit. My mother-in-law has lived here for four years and I had no hesitation in bringing my own mother to live here last year too. She was very happy here until she passed away earlier this year.

Looked after mum really well, she couldn't stop talking about the staff. They'd do anything to make her comfortable. It was clean, spotless in fact, her room was the best. The staff friendly. Nothing too much trouble. They were genuinely interested in talking to her and she loved the chats with them.
She didn't feel lonely and felt she could ask them for help if needed. She really wants to go back.
