An amazing place.
After leaving hospital my aunt was brought here and the difference in her health and well-being is off the scale.
She is encouraged to mix and socialise and her mobility is better than it has been for a few years.

Fantastic staff. Always ready to help or share advice.

Our aunt only arrived here last month but wow! Such a huge difference in her, she is smiling more, clean and engaged with us and the staff. Her appetite is better and she is on the whole living a much better life than in her previous care home. She spends time in the lounge talking to other residents and staff. The staff have been awesome, so patient and caring. They really spend as much time as possible interacting with residents and it's lovely to see!

I am relieved and pleasantly surprised at how well mum has settled at Park View. The staff are very caring and seem to understand her needs well. There are lots of activities available and mum enjoys them when she joins in. I would definitely recommend this care home.

Overall I am very satisfied with the care provided. The carers are all very kind to my friends who speak highly of them. I do sometimes question if enough consideration is given to the fact that she is virtually blind with very little vision. Does anyone ask if she wants the radio or TV on? She can't see or reach her clothes in the wardrobe but the untidy state I find it in when I visit seems to indicate she has been in the robe. This could be due to impatience and a want of independence on her part. As she gets increasingly confused and can't rely on what she tells me. I think the home does a very good job in difficult circumstances.

Thank you for your kind words about our team at Park View. The team are excellent at supporting our residents to be as independent as they can be, which is important to so many of them, in particular, your wonderful friend - she even has her own voice-activated device so that she can turn on her TV...

In general, we are happy with the care that Mum is receiving at Park Views. However, there have been two separate occasions when we visited and found Mum still in bed at 11:20 am and 11:30 am respectively. For an old lady of 91 years, we didn't think it was acceptable that she would have had no breakfast, no medication and no shower or toilet facility since the previous evening. On both occasions, we discussed the situation with the staff.

Thank you for your review. We can assure you that our staff would have checked every single hour to ensure your mother’s well-being, but occasionally, a resident may simply need a lie-in if perhaps they have not had a good night’s sleep or have not been feeling themselves. I’m sorry you did not...

On first entering the home while looking for permanent residence for my elderly mum. My daughter and I were extremely surprised at how homely and looked after the care home and its surroundings were. My mum has been a resident for 5 months and the care and attention she receives are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and she is treated with dignity. Entertainment and outings on a daily basis which keeps the residents occupied. Any queries are dealt with immediately. I would definitely recommend Park View for elderly care.

Mum has been in for respite a few times over the past 12 months and has been well cared for. She seems happy to be there so we have decided she will be going in permanently within the next few weeks. We are happy to make this decision as the staff are very friendly and caring.

My father has been a resident at Park View Sheffield since April. He has dementia and I was devastated that we were at this point as a family but when I took him in the staff welcomed him with all they knew and it was like they had been his friends for years. It has taken time to settle but after 6 weeks we are getting there. He does the gardening which is what he loves. The garden plays such an important part of Dad's life he couldn't be happier. The staff are fab to all of us. We come and go like it's our home too. The home is amazing not only in terms of looking like a 5-star hotel but the food, the activities, the warmth. We couldn't be happier that this is a great place for Dad so he is safe, warm, fed and cared for. I can call or go in when I want. He is cared for and safe so thank you to all of you for making us so welcome and more importantly making Dad feel welcome and happy.

Park View was our first choice for Mum a couple of years ago. She is very well looked after. The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. With Mum's Alzheimers and unsteady walking, she falls a lot. The staff always phone my sister straight away to inform her. The care they give is amazing.

Wanted to say how excellent the staff are at Park View Care Home (Sheffield). The care and compassion they give to all residents is so heartwarming. My mum has a lot of falls; I've always been contacted and on the occasions I've had to go with her to hospital, the staff have always been with my mum, waiting for me and the ambulance crew to arrive to take her. They genuinely care.

Mum has been at Park View for 4 years now and I cannot fault the care she has received. The staff are amazing and they all deserve a medal. Mum has advanced dementia now so cannot really interact with the entertainment programme, however, there are plenty of activities for the residents to partake in. Meals are first-class and plentiful - 3 good meals a day and cake and biscuits in between. Like being in a 5-star hotel. Thank you Park View for everything you do for my Mum.
