Park View is a home which has some wonderful spaces for residents to enjoy – from a beautiful light and airy atrium, a café, as well as spacious bedrooms, with ensuite wet rooms.

It's a special home, so much so that it's been shortlisted as a finalist in the Caring UK Awards 2023, for the North Care Home of the Year category.

The team provide residential, dementia and respite care, which can be booked in advance. They are passionate about Sanctuary Care’s enriching lives framework, based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

For example, many of the residents love gardening, so the home has its own vegetable plot, where they love to grow their own produce. Some residents love to cook, so the chef devotes time to running regular cookery and baking sessions.

At residents’ meetings, they discuss activities they would like to do. For example, this summer they talked about a seaside trip, so the team organised a day at Cleethorpes Beach, a destination chosen by the residents. More animal visits were wanted, so they recently welcomed Shetland ponies along.   

Other activities the residents enjoy doing include gentle exercise sessions, live music, trips out into the community and pampering in the hairdressing salon.

The team regularly take residents to the ‘Motion Games’, where they join other care home residents for mini-Olympic games. They love it so much, the team have recreated many of these activities back at the home, like bean bag throwing, parachute games and badminton.   

Many of the residents love spending time with children, so the team involve their families in the home. Staff brought their children in fancy dress for a Disney themed party recently, where they sang and danced with the residents.

There is also a private Facebook page, for families and friends of the home.

This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Mum has been in Park View since November 2017. First impressions are very good. All carers are kind and respectful. Nothing seems too much trouble. Mum is spotlessly clean and well presented as she was when she could care for herself. The meals are nice and tea/coffee facilities are available for residents
and their visitors at all times. The staff genuinely seem to care about my Mum and keep me informed of any changes/needs. Lovely, caring environment.

My mother has been in Park View Residential Care Home for just over two years. It was a traumatic move for my mum having to go and live in a care home. But now she loves it here. All the staff are very caring and accommodating. We now all see this as my mum's home and staff as a second family. I could

Very pleasant surroundings, small dining rooms and lots of cosy sitting areas. Very good ensuite facilities and extremely genuine and caring staff.

Marvellous care residence with such lovely caring and attentive staff. I am so comfortable here and feel safe and very well looked after. The food is excellent and my room is lovely. I cannot fault it at all. Since I've come here my bad legs have got so much better thanks to improved nursing care
by the district nurses. Very professional and on the ball generally.

I've been living in Park View Care Home for nearly 2 years. When I first came in I was really poorly. I was looked after very well and got mu health back on track. I was very thin and have now put my weight back on. The staff look after me very well. The home is clean and my room is cleaned every day.
All members of staff are welcoming and friendly.

Since my mother in law arrival at the care home, we have seen a massive increase of her well being. Which is down to the care and function of the care home from top to bottom. I would recommend this care home to anyone wishing to care for a loved one.

Generally, staff are very good. It would be nice if they could spend more time with the residents. Need extra staff, especially at the weekends. Sometimes family members are looking for staff to help a resident and no one is available. Would be good if at least one staff member was always in the same
room as the residents (to be on hand). Sometimes very smelly and carpet needs cleaning.
