I would recommend Bartley Green Lodge to anyone looking for a home for their family member.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely review. It's wonderful to hear that your mother has felt so at home over the last four years. The kind words about the team's care and respect mean so much, and your recommendation is truly appreciated.
My mother was at BGL for two and a half years before her death at the age of 101. The care was simply first class, nothing too much trouble. When it came to find care for my brother in law it was a simple choice, and he has been there for nearly two years. If there is anything he needs, we are contacted straight away. It has been an enormous weight off our shoulders to know that he is receiving the quality of service and support that he deserves. Thanks to all BGL.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. We're delighted to know that the care and support provided have brought peace of mind to your family. It's wonderful to hear that both your loved ones have felt comfortable and well cared for. Your words mean so much to us.
Mum has been a resident for 2 years. There are many things I am happy about at Bartley Green, including the way the staff get to know the residents to help with personalised care, the food is of a good standard and plentiful, the staff have always listened and acted on any concerns about health issues that may need a doctor etc involved. Bartley green is always very clean and the rooms are a good size and en suite which is lovely for privacy. There is an open door policy so you can speak to management which is important.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased your mum has felt well cared for and that you value our personalised approach and clean environment. Your comments mean a lot to the team.
This is an excellent care home with lovely staff and care home manager. The residents and relatives are treated with a lot of respect and love. There is a lot of space in the home to walk around.
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear you felt the care, respect, and warmth we strive to provide every day. Your kind words mean a lot to our team!
I have been coming to BGL for a number years with 4 family members as far back as 8 years. They have all passed away at BGL with excellent end of life care. My mom passed away this month and I would just like to thank all the amazing staff for the love care and support they have given my family over the years. I have recommended BGL to a lot of people and will continue to do so as they always go that little bit extra in everything they do. The staff are amazing not only the carers but kitchen laundry maintenance management and activities. I am so grateful for everything you have all done for me and my fam.
Thank you for your heartfelt words. We're truly honoured to have cared for your loved ones and deeply appreciate your trust and recommendations. Your gratitude means so much to our entire team, and we remain committed to providing the best care and support.
The care and support from staff is amazing, if my mother has any health problems or is poorly they contact me and reassure me what has happened and what will be done. They let me stay and help mom at meal times if she is struggling. We have another member of the family that will be residing at Bartley Green Lodge and have no hesitation with her being there also. Christmas Day we spent with mom for dinner at the home and all the staff went above and beyond with every resident there and I got a little gift for Christmas. The whole team are amazing.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's wonderful to hear how much care and attention our staff provide, ensuring families feel reassured and supported. We're so pleased that your mother is so well looked after and that you've had these meaningful moments together at Bartley Green Lodge.
My mum has been a resident at Bartley Green Lodge for over a year now, during this time our journey as a family has been amazing. We feel confident the care and love that mum is having on a daily basis. On my visits (most recent during march) I have been made to feel reassured that everything has been done to make mums journey the best we could wish for. The local priest has been contacted to make sure communion is taken by mum, the staff go over and beyond to keep us informed at all times on mums well being, so much more I want to say... Bartley Green Lodge will always have a place in my heart.
Thank you for sharing your family's experience. It's touching to hear that your mum receives the fantastic standard of care she deserves, and that you've felt reassured throughout this journey.
My aunt became ill very quickly, and we wanted to find a care home close to where she lived so she could have visits from friends and neighbours, so we looked at Bartley Green Lodge. Right from the first tour to view, we felt right at home and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and understood what a difficult decision it was to choose a care home, and so quickly. They were really helpful and helped me 'dress' my aunt's room before she moved in, so she had her own clothes in the wardrobe, her own photos, and bits and pieces. Since she has moved in, the staff have been amazing, so patient, keeping me up-to-date with any and all developments, and have taken the time to talk to me and my aunt's other family and make us all feel welcome as visitors. My dad now says he'd move in when he can no longer stay at home! I'm very grateful to the staff at Bartley Green Lodge, they've been absolutely amazing.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We're delighted to hear that you and your aunt felt so welcomed and supported from the very beginning. We understand how difficult these decisions can be, and we're so pleased that our team at Bartley Green Lodge could help make the transition as smooth...
Mom settled in really quickly and always says how lovely the staff are.
Thank you for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your mum settled into Bartley Green Lodge so quickly and feels so well cared for by our dedicated team. Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and providing engaging activities for our residents is a top priority, so we're pleased to know that these efforts have made such a positive difference.
My mom was a resident at Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care Home for more than seven years, in this time, Mom was cared for and loved by the wonderful team there. Mom didn't always take part in activities but that was her choice, she enjoyed to quietly watch and had enjoyment from watching others. Mom was always given a choice whether it was what she wanted to eat or where she wanted to sit. The gardens are beautiful, like the people who work there. Always clean and fresh meals are always beautifully presented, brilliant chef. A wonderful place to live. Space to wander around, lots of pictures on the walls. A great activities coordinator with masses of energy and ideas. Lovely days out and children from a local school come to visit which gives some of the residents much joy. You can have peace and quiet or fun and madness, it's your choice and that's what counts. Nothing is too much trouble, just ask. Your worries are always listened to, just speak them.
Thank you for your beautiful review for Bartley Green Lodge, we have passed this on to the team who will be touched to read your kind words about the care they provide.
Mum has lived at Bartley Green Lodge for over two years now and is very well cared for. The home is exceptionally clean and professionally run. The staff have worked hard to get to know Mum and have tailored care plans to her needs. It is reassuring for us that she is safe and cared for at all times. Mum has her hair and nails done every week and the programme of activities is extensive. We are always welcomed into the home and invited to engage with the various events and activities going on.
Thank you so much for your kind words for our home and team at Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care Home. It's wonderful to hear how reassured you are knowing your mum is safe and that you are always welcomed with open arms.
In October my mother had her 100th birthday at Bartley Green Lodge. What a fabulous party the staff put on for her. She is thriving at Bartley Green Lodge, all down to the level of care she receives from the staff and management. A very clean, modern environment. Plenty of organised activities. Your level of care for our mother is very much appreciated.
Thank you for your wonderful review for Bartley Green, we are so happy to hear your mother is thriving there.
He is thriving at Bartley Green Lodge. He is very happy and content all his needs are met. The activities are brilliant ar Bartley Green Lodge, keeping the resident occupied is invaluable.
Wonderful home, welcoming and inclusive to families, couldn't wish for a better place for my family member to reside.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review, the team at Bartley Green will be touched to read your kind comments about the care they provide to your uncle.
Immediately struck by the cleanliness and professional caring ambience. All staff were so helpful and polite. Inspired total confidence in the standard of care provided to all residents. Thank you very much.
The staff at Bartley Green Lodge are amazing. My dad lived at the care home from April to Novemeber 2023 until his passing. I would recommend anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a loved one, to check out Bartley Green Lodge.
I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at this amazing care home in Birmingham. it was an incredible experience. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and positive environment for both the residents and volunteers like myself. One of the highlights was playing bingo with the residents. It brought so much joy and laughter to their day and it was heartwarming to see their excitement when they won. Overall, I highly recommend this care home for its friendly staff and engaging activities. It's a place where love and care are truly evident.
The quality of Mum's care has been exceptional. Mum entered care suffering from Alzheimer's, the condition from which she died. As Mum's disease progressed, the care that she received never faltered, it adapted as she grew more poorly, with staff continuing to brighten her life until the very end.
Nothing more could have been asked of or indeed provided by Bartley Green Lodge. The staff are exceptional. They have a compassion, empathy, skillset and 'can do' resolve that shines from them. They truly are extraordinary people. This has been evident throughout Mum's residency. Towards the end of Mum's life, everything was done for Mum and for us all as a family that could have been done and everything was explained and shown to us in a sensitive way. The empathy and support at Mum's death will not be forgotten by us.
Finally, Bartley Green Lodge is superbly run and managed. Thank you.
Mum had to move from her previous care home in February this year because of closure and we were all concerned about the change for her, especially as we live so far away and were unable to visit. We needn’t have worried, the staff have been so kind and welcoming and have treated her as one of the “family”. We see many photos of her in the newsletter and she is always smiling and has a lovely member of staff close by. We were particularly touched by the amazing celebrations they organised for her 100th birthday here at Bartley Green Lodge in October. It was very special for her and for her family. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the staff and management team.

I love working here, our staff team and residents are so happy and uplifting, it’s a joy to be around them. I love being able to support our residents in terms of their individual needs and to empower our team to continue to enrich our residents' lives.

I love working here because we are all here for the right reason – it’s not just a job we truly care for the residents and it’s such a special place. It's like a second home here and I feel happy to come to work in the morning. I know the residents have a lot of faith in me and as soon as you walk onto the floor in the morning they smile.

As long as I know our residents are happy, I am happy. It’s such an achievement to know we are supporting our residents to have such a good quality of life here.
I love my job – this is home to me and the residents mean everything. You get to know their personalities and their little quirks – the banter and laughs you have with them are so lovely. I love this home.
