Castlecroft is a special place, where the team, residents and their loved ones work together to create a happy home that feels like an extended family.

There are resident ambassadors, who have active roles to play in how the home is run, from helping to interview potential staff, to providing residents’ feedback.

The team are passionate about enriching their residents’ lives, supporting them to do the things that bring them joy, giving them a sense of continuity and purpose. One resident is a fitness enthusiast, so the team created a gym for him, with his own equipment and some new additions.

Relatives are embraced into life at Castlecroft, and many are volunteering there. For example, several relatives created a vegetable patch with the residents, while others run singing sessions. There is also a private family and friends Facebook page.

Many residents love animals, so every week a member of the team brings in her family dog for them.

All the staff are actively involved in activities. Staff buddy residents who share the same interests, so activities are even more meaningful. For example, the maintenance operative discovered one of the residents shares his love of playing pool, so takes time to join him for games in home’s bar.

A group of male residents were chatting about how they loved cooking, so the ‘curry club’ was created. They go shopping with the team for the ingredients to make their own curries.

The home itself is beautiful, with spacious ensuite bedrooms, lounge areas and quiet spaces. There are landscaped gardens, where the residents enjoy growing their own produce, which they harvest for the chef to use in the kitchen. And mealtimes are a real highlight, with delicious home-cooked meals every day.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. I find the carers & the nurses as well as the leaders in this facility are very supportive and professional. I feel confident that my mother is well looked after here, the staff really give her the best service she requires. Thank you for looking after our loved ones.

Castlecroft is a wonderful Care Home. The staff go above and beyond to look after my mum. They take care of her physical needs and equally important her emotional health. Since moving into Castlecroft my mum has put on weight and thoroughly enjoys the delicious food!

After a lot of upset and worry with my husband going into hospital and other care homes I feel my husband is finally in the best place he could be. He is now content and settled and I could not ask for more. If I am worried or concerned about anything I feel I can go to any member of staff and it will
be dealt with. There is a feeling of kindness through out the home which is wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The ensuite bedrooms are lovely and you are able to personalise them with photos and things for comfort.
Cleanliness is of a very high standard. I am very thankful my husband is there. Obviously I wish he was with me but as that is not a possibility we have the best result for us. I feel OK when I leave him as he is so well cared for. I am happy as I can be in our situation.

My review isn't just about May 2025 it includes from the day my father first went into the home in March 2024. You belong to the family of Castle Croft when your loved one enters into the home. The staff know you, they talk to you ask if you have any concerns etc;

The staff show compassion and care not only to the residents but also there families in what can be an emotional time.
Castlecroft care home is a home for its residents and a second home for there famlies.

I have to say that myself and my mom were well pleased with her stay, the staff were absolute amazing. So friendly and caring it was like home from for mom she loved her stay, which was only a second time in respite, and a big relief for me she settled in so well. I would definitely recommend the

Well done Team Castlecroft! I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. As soon as you walk in, you are aware of the warm and friendly atmosphere. There is a good ratio of staff to residents and everyone (residents and family/friends) are made to feel really welcome. I hear lots of laughter when
I walk around and this is one of many indications that both staff and residents are happy to be there. Mum has made good friends and has put on much needed weight. The food is excellent and I am impressed that home made cakes are provided every afternoon for the residents - of a better standard than most cafes! The communication from the carers is exceptional. I am always kept up to date in relation to mum's care and am very frequently asked if I am happy or if anything else needs to be done for her. Suggestions are always met with positivity and openness by a management team who are highly skilled and experienced. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Castle Croft is a phenomonal care home. My Aunty is now bedridden and requires extensive care. Whenever I visit my Aunt she is clean and moisturised and her exercises have been performed. The care team take great joy in telling me about her progress and demonstrate genuine care and affection. Sam
who leads the floor, has been an absolute rock for me and my family. We feel like she is now an extended part of our family. I dont know what we would have done without them all. They are all true angels.

My mother in law has been at castle croft for nearly 12 months and in that time we have got to know all the management and staff, they have all been very supportive and helpful.the staff are all absolutely brilliant always there with a kind word. Keep us informed on how she is daily, they sit and talk
to her and help her with her daily needs. As a family we can't thank them enough always go above and beyond. The rooms are very spacious clean and bright and a lovely view of the grounds.there are lots of activities daily for residents to join in, lots of singing and dancing. Mother in law likes a lie in and they will always get her some food and a cupper no matter what the time of day it is. There's always snacks and some lovely meals and it's never too much trouble to get something different that she fancies.

The home provide high quality care and keep our loved one at the centre of their work. Staff genuinely care for residents and know them all so well, there's daily activities and when I visit I often see residents sitting for a cuppa at the managers desk, chatting away, great to see.

My Dad has settled in really well. Castle Croft is very well led & the staff are attentive & caring. Plenty of activities for residents, milestones are celebrated and overall knowing Dad is being well cared for is a huge weight off our shoulders.

The home has been exceptional. Mom's Alzheimer's has been tricky to manage and at every step the Castlecroft Residential Care Home staff have supported her. We are so blessed she lives in such a wonderful home. Thanks to all staff from cleaners, catering staff, awesome care staff and management.

We have complete peace of mind that the care workers at Castlecroft offer excellent care and support to our family member.

My dad has been at Castlecroft Residential Care Home now for almost 12 months. He is so happy with his Castlecroft family. Well loved and cared for by all the staff, nothing is too much.
If I had to pick any faults, I would like to see more events that families can get involved with.

Staff are always contactable and will contact you quickly if needed.
Staff are friendly, professional and helpful.
This creates a comfortable environment for residents, and leaves family members assured that their loved ones are in good hands.
Facilities are great, but maybe not used as much as
they could be.
Daily housekeeping is relentless, but larger jobs by site team take a while. Some areas could do with a little TLC.
Activities are great, could do with more.
