Every time I visited my mum it always felt positive wherever I walked around the home. Such a lovely send-off on my mum's final farewell.

All the staff at Castlecroft Residential Care Home put their heart and soul into providing care for the residents. They not only look after physical needs but constantly provide and think of new ways to stimulate the mental well-being of all the residents. They recognise when residents are not great at socialising with others and find out their interests so that they do not feel alone. The past year has been very trying for all and the staff have kept our family members safe always updating us on new policies. I look upon the staff there as an extension of my family. Thank you Castlecroft.

I can definitely recommend Castlecroft Care Home in Weoley Castle, Birmingham for its top-class care and compassion towards the residents. My mother has been a resident here for nearly 4 years and definitely thinks of it as her home now. The staff are very professional and caring.

The Castlecroft staff makes all residents feel inclusive whatever is happening. I feel that mom could not get the care provided anywhere else. The kitchen provides brilliant celebration cakes afternoon treats as well as daily meals. Staff amazes with the activities they provide and manage to encourage even the reluctant residents to give them a go. This has been so helpful during the pandemic to fill mom's day and the enjoyment is apparent when we speak. I have no worries about the care the staff members provide it is given with devotion and a smile. If I needed reassurance I only need to call. Nothing is too much trouble. It’s probably been said but the staff will go the extra mile to make someone happy. It takes a special person to work in a care home and Castlecroft is full of special people. My thanks to each and every one of them.

Our resident is a longstanding member of our local Methodist Church and has no surviving family members able to support her. From the day that she moved in, she has been comfortable and happy and for her, Castlecroft is home. We have no concerns whatsoever about the practical conditions, and the staff have always been extremely helpful, friendly and positive creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere and this has not changed despite the pressures of covid 19. We have managed several visits, and we are impressed that communication has been maintained via lively, informative newsletters even when visits were not possible. It is reassuring that contact by phone meets with an immediate personal response by a member of staff.

My mom and aunt are both residents in Castlecroft. The way they are cared for is second to none. All of the staff are so kind and caring and they all go the extra mile for their residents and each other. It’s like one big happy family and I always get the impression that they all love their jobs. Would highly recommend. I have total peace of mind knowing my relatives are so well looked after.

When you need to find a new home for a loved one it is a huge responsibility and frankly terrifying. When my sister and I visited Castlecroft it was as though a great weight had been lifted. We are so glad we chose Castlecroft. The home is in a pleasant, quiet and tree-lined area. The staff are all, and I mean all, fabulous. They are caring and friendly and will always go the extra mile. They will all make time to talk to you if you have concerns or want information. The manager is very hands-on and I think the ethos of Castlecroft is in no small measure due to her and her staff’s diligence. I would have no hesitation in recommending Castlecroft to anyone who is in the process of making this difficult decision.

I cannot begin to explain how wonderful the home is and the care and love that is shown to the residents. We had to unfortunately make the decision that Mom needed more help than we could give her and it was made even worse due to Covid so that meant not seeing Mom when her family was around her all the time at home. However, since moving her to Castlecroft, we have seen the brilliant care the give and the activities they do for the residents and the facilities there are fabulous. They are Angels.

My mother has been at Castlecroft for the last 12 months, she has never been so happy considering she lived on her own. However, the care that she receives from the staff at Castlecroft is fantastic and it is definitely the right care home for our mother. I would recommend Castlecroft for the elderly who are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's as this is their speciality.

I live in London, 130 miles away from my sister in Castlecroft Care Home and normally I visit her every 2 weeks for about 2 hours each time. Since March 2020 no visits were made for several weeks but later structured visits were allowed for 30 minute periods. I have made 3 such visits but understandably not allowed inside the home. My sister has difficulty in recalling recent memory facts and distant memory is often confused. consequently, any review which I can provide is subjective to my own observations. However, when I was able to make my visits inside the home I was always impressed by the pleasant atmosphere, friendliness of the staff and was always made to feel welcome. My sister's individual accommodation is clean, well-appointed and adequate. I have been aware that efforts are made by the staff to stimulate the resident's interest but I realise it is difficult to engage my sister in socially orientated activities. Prior to my sister taking up occupancy at Castlecroft I had visited several other homes none of which approached the superior standard available at Castlecroft. Whether the cost of her accommodation is value for money is commensurate with being able to rest assured she is cared for more satisfactorily than any alternative I could consider.

All the staff are committed to giving the residents the best experience. They go the extra mile to make sure the residents are looked after and happy. The food is good and plentiful.

From carers to cleaners, administrative, cooks, maintenance - I can't thank them enough for all they are doing, especially at this most difficult time of keeping everyone safe.

Admission was a pleasant process. Mum was flooded out of her sheltered accommodation but was assessed and admitted efficiently. The welcome was great. Mum has been in her same comfortable room for over two years. The activities available, the helpful team and general care have been of a consistently high standard. Despite COVID-19, challenges of family, and Mum's deterioration, the home has impressed.

I feel mum is content at Castlecroft - she appears to be well cared for. The carers are kind and supportive.

Mum has always wanted a daily shower and this has been achieved for her wellbeing. She always looks fresh and clean. Mum talks highly of her carers and we have been impressed with the carers and their wonderful humour and diligence.

My sister became a resident of this care home in May 2018. We have been very pleased with the support from the staff and the facilities in the home. It is run efficiently, adhering to rules and regulations while at the same time, providing a warm, friendly atmosphere. Staff are usually responsive to any concerns and requests. They show a great deal of warmth and respect to the residents. We feel my sister is in the best of hands in a purpose-built residence which is modern, bright and clean.
