From my very first visit to see Castlecroft, I found staff and the manager to be friendly, supportive and understanding. As we live overseas, after Dad moved in, we were regularly updated with emails in relation to health matters and photos of him during activities and social occasions. When Dad had a fall the staff ensured he was thoroughly checked by a GP, and when necessary following a further fall, arranged for him to go to hospital. The staff and management handled Dads situation with genuine care and concern and worked closely with our family as he became unwell to ensure the best possible outcomes following his discharge from hospital.

My mom moved into Castlecroft in July 2018. Since moving in she has settled down and is very happy, the staff do an amazing job. From carers/seniors and management, always happy to help and solve any worries we may have. I would highly recommend Castlecroft to other families and friends.

The energy, friendliness and attentiveness are the best compared to many care homes that I have had experience of. There is always a smile and a greeting. The staff get to know the residents very well so can identify problems through non-verbal cues which is vital when the resident has problems with communication. All residents are given respect and dignity and are encouraged to participate in the very many activities which may be appropriate for them. I am so pleased that my grandmother has found such a happy home with them. It is truly a weight off my mind, knowing she is well cared for, especially as I am so far away and can only visit once or twice a week.

Dear Catherine, thank you so much for your lovely review and kind words, it will mean ever so much to our team at Castlecroft. We are so glad that the home allows you to have peace of mind, knowing that your grandmother is well cared for. Best wishes.

My uncle entered the home in June 2014 after being diagnosed with dementia. He was also an amputee (minus one leg), the love and care he received from all of the staff were exceptional, especially in some of his darker moments. Although we visited him fairly regularly we were kept informed with phone calls of any changes or incidents, and he had a few. The home itself is fairly modern (opened in 2013) and kept clean and decorative with a pleasant fragrant (non-chemical) atmosphere. A specialist activity member of staff arranges trips, entertainment and activities for the three specialist floors (care - 24-hour care - dementia). When we visited the home we felt we were part of a big happy family, always being given a welcome and a report on my Uncles wellbeing and activities. The final endorsement was at my uncles funeral last week when seven of the carers attended his funeral that was ten miles from the home. They still had love and care to give.

My mother spent 18 months at Castlecroft Residential Care Home. An excellent choice mum or I couldn't have asked for more care and attention. In fact, before her dementia got really awful she often said how much she loves being there.

We believe we couldn't have found a better home for home.

Mum went into Castlecroft for respite care. The care is fantastic and the manager is professional which reassures us leaving mum under their care.

This is now our choice of a permanent care home for mum if all goes well.

My father was placed in emergency care following the sudden death of my mother and in the 2 months it took to return him to Birmingham, he deteriorated rapidly. After 6 weeks ar Castelcroft, he is himself again. I simply could not recommend them highly enough. Literarily fantastic in every area.

When we realised that my 90-year-old mother was no longer able to look after herself in a warden controlled housing complex we started a search for a care home. Having reviewed and visited a number it was apparent that Castle Croft was perfect for mom's needs. This was two years ago and I can honestly state that it was the best decision we have made.
The level of care and the genuine nature of that care has been magnificent. The management and staff have been so kind to mom that it has eased any worries that we might have had as we live 2 hours away.
Mom always said that she was really happy at Castle Croft.
When the end finally came the staff were wonderful, even attending mom's funeral.
We had been so impressed with castle croft that we were happy to hold mom's wake there also - which brings up the subject of the food - I've seen worse in hotels!! The chef produced all the food for the wake and it was brilliant.
Can't say enough for the manager and her staff

10/10

My nan came to stay in May 2016 as she was unable to care for herself.

It gave us great comfort when we came to visit, that it was plain to see that nan was receiving great care, she was happy, active, full of tails of news friend and activities,

In May 2017 nan received the dreadful news that she had terminal cancer, this is where the staff at Castlecroft really came into there own, the end of life care and love that was shown to my nan over the last few months of her life, leave me speechless, words are just not enough.
I spent the last few days with her, and in that time the staff not only cared for nan but cared for me also nothing was to much trouble.
To see the staff interacting with nan was very humbling and touching.

When nan passed I was with her, the staff or really I should refer to them as friends because that's what they had become to her, came in and said their goodbyes, they were so respectful.

My aunt spent her final days at Castlecroft Care Home and the level of care was exemplary. She was cared for like a member of the family with highly caring staff, excellent conditions and a lovely environment.
We held the wake at the care home and we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. And the catering was excellent.

The families thanks all at Castlecroft for making my aunts last days so peaceful.

Since my mom has moved onto the second floor for advanced dementia, she and I found it hard at first but she has settled and is quite happy. Staff are helpful and courteous at all times and certain staff go above and beyond their daily care duties towards all residents.
Castlecroft is a warm, friendly, welcoming care home at all levels and myself and my partner are constantly supported through this very sad journey with Mom.

She may not know who I am on many of my visits but I know she is safe, warm, looked after and cared for.
