Castlecroft is a special place, where the team, residents and their loved ones work together to create a happy home that feels like an extended family.

There are resident ambassadors, who have active roles to play in how the home is run, from helping to interview potential staff, to providing residents’ feedback.

The team are passionate about enriching their residents’ lives, supporting them to do the things that bring them joy, giving them a sense of continuity and purpose. One resident is a fitness enthusiast, so the team created a gym for him, with his own equipment and some new additions.

Relatives are embraced into life at Castlecroft, and many are volunteering there. For example, several relatives created a vegetable patch with the residents, while others run singing sessions. There is also a private family and friends Facebook page.

Many residents love animals, so every week a member of the team brings in her family dog for them.

All the staff are actively involved in activities. Staff buddy residents who share the same interests, so activities are even more meaningful. For example, the maintenance operative discovered one of the residents shares his love of playing pool, so takes time to join him for games in home’s bar.

A group of male residents were chatting about how they loved cooking, so the ‘curry club’ was created. They go shopping with the team for the ingredients to make their own curries.

The home itself is beautiful, with spacious ensuite bedrooms, lounge areas and quiet spaces. There are landscaped gardens, where the residents enjoy growing their own produce, which they harvest for the chef to use in the kitchen. And mealtimes are a real highlight, with delicious home-cooked meals every day.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1128 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My nan moved in to Castlecroft Residential Care Home a few months back and she is like a changed woman. The stimulating and nurturing environment is outstanding.
I have not a single complaint or issue to raise.
The quality of care is outstanding and our family has never looked back after moving
nan.
I can not express the gratitude that I have for the love and care that my nan has been given.

My mom does not join in most of the events but she loves watching everyone else enjoying themselves, but I have noticed that she might be starting to want to join in on some events. The lady knows what my Mom wants or doesn’t want she never pushes her. The Management and staff including all of them
are wonderful.

My farther was struggling with life not eating or washing gave up on life it was heartbreaking to watch with alcohol so I knew it was time. Before we lost him with neglect of himself so decided to get him into care, best thing I ever did he's so happy with life, well-loved, respected, so the weight
gain and stopped drinking, love to see him smiling loving life, lovely bedroom, well content I'm so happy, thank you Castlecroft.

The staff here go above and beyond their duties to care for our dad. The extra activities they provide and the interaction included are so comforting to see. Cannot speak highly enough of CastleCroft. I had Christmas lunch here with my brother. The management and carers are so professional and caring. My brother only eats soft food the kitchen accommodates him daily with fresh liquidated vegetables and meat/fish. He is so happy here I’m pleased to say. This
makes me happy plus he is also involved with activities he’s part of the Games Club. The residents get daily photos and updates on daily activities on social media. Thank you CastleCroft

I was recommended by a friend when looking for a new place for my mom. Mom has been at Castlecroft Residential Care Home now since February. After a terrible experience at her previous placement, Mom has come on leaps and bounds. She was severely depressed and underweight when she arrived at Castlecroft
but the staff have been nothing but caring, patient and understanding. The difference in my mom is huge, she is eating three meals a day, interacting with residents and taking part in activities. In particular, two members of staff have been amazing (there are many more). I couldn’t recommend Castlecroft enough!

My nan was brought to the care home in April 2023. We were very hesitant about where she goes. We got offered a place here at Castlecroft Residential Care Home and the day I came to have a look around I was greeted by friendly faces, polite and well-mannered staff.
The day we brought my nan to the
home we had all mixtures of emotions. But all of the anxiety and sadness soon went when we saw my nan just scoot off into the communal areas. It was as though she’d always been a part of that home.
As days passed we had updates from the staff and photos of my nan smiling and looking radiant. She was well, she was fed and altogether she was safe. Whenever we visit we feel it’s home from home. And my nan loves it there, she calls it her home which makes us feel at ease.
Thank you to all of the staff that have taken their time to get to know Nan and make her days better.

My mum has been there for just over one month on respite. We are hoping to make it permanent. The staff have been so accommodating and are always keeping us updated on Mum's progress. My mum has really settled in well and always looks happy. This makes us feel happier as a family as it's one of the
hardest decisions of your life, placing a relative in a home.

The care and diligence afforded to my gran, who currently requires intensive nursing, is second-to-none. The staff are always helpful with inquiries and put one at ease. The WhatsApp group allows communication with staff and relations of other clients.

My experience with Castlecroft Residential Care Home, especially over the last few months has been amazing, my dad was classed as end-of-life by his GP. He spent three weeks in his bed with us by his side daily and the staff were amazing, especially one member of staff who cared about our feelings too
and the manager, they looked after Dad so well, he's still with us and is back eating and drinking. God bless them all.

I never thought Mom would settle at Castlecroft Residential Care Home or in any care home but she has really blossomed there now. She would initially ask when she was going home and didn't really want to do anything. But now, she joins in with most activities (there are lots!) and we love seeing the
pictures of her in the family WhatsApp chat, playing games, laughing and chatting with other residents, getting her nails done and much more. Instead of asking about going home, after we've been there a while, she will tell us "my friend's waiting for me" or that we should probably think about getting home! She just wants to get back to chatting with the friends she has made there. It's so good to see her enjoying herself and looking so much brighter. We're really pleased we chose Castlecroft, the staff look after Mom really well and she is really enjoying having lots of company. She is eating really well there too, even things she would never eat before!

Care shown by the dedicated staff is amazing.
It is very difficult trusting a loved one into the care of someone else but the staff are like family, nothing is too much trouble.

Mom is getting all the care, she has been well looked after, the staff are marvellous, we could not ask for anything better. Mom has had a few water infections, the staff keep me well informed, the home is always nice and clean, really friendly and always smiling.
