The team at Lake View are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and supporting them to have a very active role to play in how their home is run. There are resident ambassadors, who do everything from showing new residents and their families around their home, to providing feedback at residents’ meetings.

The home is thriving, with so many activities to enjoy, from karaoke, pamper sessions and a knit and natter group, to movie afternoons with popcorn in the home’s cinema, trips out into the community, pub lunches and animal visits.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, from school children who take part in activities, to a community choir, musicians and entertainers who regularly perform for the residents. And the home has its own piano for anyone who fancies some spontaneous music!

Lake View has its own a hair salon, with a mobile hairdresser visiting weekly, as well as a coffee shop for ‘Tea Tuesdays’ and relaxing with loved ones, who are welcome at any time.

The beautiful landscaped gardens have raised planters and wheelchair friendly pathways. This summer the residents have loved growing their own fruit and vegetables from seed in the polytunnel, harvesting their produce for the chef to use in the kitchen, giving them such a sense of achievement.

Mealtimes are another highlight, with home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea. In the dining rooms residents enjoy everything from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays, plus themed menus for special occasions.

The spacious bedrooms are beautifully furnished and decorated, with walk-in wet room showers.

Loved ones are embraced into life in the home and are welcome at any time. And there is a private family and friends Facebook page, where they can see what the residents have been enjoying doing, even if they can’t be there in person.

My mum was a resident for 7 months sadly passing away in June this yearjust 3weeks short of her 104th birthday.,she had dementia, the care and attention showed to her was outstanding by all staff. It's always difficult to come to terms with putting a loved one into care but rest assured they will not
get better care than Lake view. Thankyou all for everything you did for Mum. Heartfelt gratitude from all the family.

My mum moved into Lake View in April as a full time resident. I was very anxious moving mum into care, but the transition has been made so much easier by the support and care mum is receiving. She has settled in really quickly and is very happy. Staff at Lake View have made our family feel very
welcome when we visit and are happy to help if we have any questions. There are lots of activities for residents to get involved in. You are always kept informed if there are any problems or concerns. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lake View to anyone .

Lakeview have welcomed my mom as part of their family. Diagnosed with dementia June 2023 it has been extremely difficult. To make that decision to get help for mom. All staff are amazing, my mom has not been so happy as she is now in the last 30 years of her life. She is looked after and always smiling.
She sings, dances and interacts with all staff and residents.
I am so happy that she is as happy as she is.

My Mum is resident at Lake view care home. The care provided is first class, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are amazing, treating every resident with respect and kindness whilst maintaining their dignity. Supporting and encouraging each resident to live a life of their choosing. The freshly
cooked food is wonderful catering for individual choices and dietary needs. Regular Activities are offered daily, exercise classes weekly. Visiting Singers create a wonderful party atmosphere. My Mum's got a new lease of life since being at Lakeview. The home is really well furnished and maintained to the highest standard. I have no hesitation recommending Lakeview.

My mother spent the final 20 months of her life at Lake View, during which time she was extremely happy and very well looked after. All staff who came in to contact with mum had a cheery word which made her feel at home; indeed she referred to Lake View as her home. We were so happy that she was at
Lake View, in the knowledge that she was safe, secure and happy.


The staff always went that extra mile to provide fulfilling activities for all residents and mum was very happy to attend the residents meetings in the knowledge that her suggestions were listened to and being taken into account.


We are so very grateful to all staff at Lake View for their unbelievable care, love and professionalism. Thank you to all staff, both day and night staff, who enabled her to feel safe and secure to the end. We will always remember the dignity and respect shown to mum at her passing.


We wholeheartedly recommend Lake View Care Home.

I spent 6 weeks in lakeside after surgery. Staff are wonderful, food is really good and plentiful. Nothing is too much trouble just ask!

We had to look for a care home for my wife and Lake View was by far the best one we viewed. I took my wife a while to settle in but all the staff were excellent in making my wife feel at home. The food is first-class. Lake View is a very friendly home and is very well-run.

There is a friendly atmosphere in the home and I enjoy visiting my mother, knowing that she is well cared for.

My mom has been at Lake View Residential Care Home since August 2024. Mom has taken a little bit of settling in, but from day one, the management, care and cleaners have really helped her and have gone above and beyond to get her settled.
Lake View staff are amazing with family and friends who visit,

Had yet another lunch/dinner with Mom at the care home and the service, quality and value for money are excellent.
Mom doesn't like travelling anymore, so the family come to her and she really enjoys our meals together.
I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I am very happy with the support my dad is given. The staff are very helpful. The only thing I would say is that some of dad's clothes go missing, I know this is not easy to amend as some of the residents forget things. I did try to mark all of his clothes, the socks and pants can be difficult to mark.
Would it be a good idea to put these in a washing hot bag and mark with the room number. The other thing is could the morning staff put some different clothes on.

My nan was at Lake View, the care she was given was amazing beyond words even to her last days. They were amazing to the family and gave us so much support and confidence. My mum has been in Lake View Residential Care Home for almost 2 years now and I can honestly say that the care she receives is second to none. There doesn't seem to be a very high turnover of staff which means that you always see the same friendly and familiar faces. As I have no siblings, Mum's care
has been my sole responsibility but when she moved into Lake View, I received so much help and support from all of the staff to the point that they now feel like my extended family. There are lots of activities for the residents to get involved in and the staff always show so much care and compassion. You are always kept so well informed about everything to do with your loved one, no matter how minor. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lake View to anyone.

I moved from Telford to Wales in September and can now only visit my sister once a month instead of weekly. My mother is a resident of Lake View Residential on respite care. She has settled in really quickly and has been made to feel very welcome. All of our concerns about her going into a care home were immediately put to rest upon viewing the facility, meeting the staff and other residents, everyone seems
genuinely happy, positive and upbeat upon every visit.
The facilities are very good. The staff have gone to great lengths to accommodate my mother in terms of what she would like to eat and encourage her to interact. They have even helped her maintain outside friendships helping her write cards/letters which is really important to help her to engage with people socially.
Mum seems very proud of her room, always happy to give anyone a tour who comes to visit taking pride in the overall facility. They have been good at communicating with the family and alerting us to any medical appointments or developments with Mum and enabling her to call us at will or for us to call her for a chat.
