The staff at Lake View have been looking after my mum for a number of years and she has been given extremely good and kind care.

The home is kept clean and tidy and the staff interact with the residents constantly.

My mother was a resident for three years. Her time at Lake View was happy and very comfortable. The staff were so warm and caring and in fact, my mum often said she was in a hotel.
She loved her room, although chose to spend her days in the communal lounge and dining area. It was a great relief to us to know that she was so well looked after.

I would be happy to go there myself when the time comes!

The experience of my Dad moving into permanent, residential care has been made so much easier to accept due to the very caring, supportive and friendly manner of all the staff.

Dad's needs are accommodated in a caring way with a relaxed approach to his mood changes, which means he has been calmer and happier.

Dear Catherine, what a lovely review. We understand how difficult the transition into care can be for both our residents and their families so it is really reassuring to know that your experience has proved to be a positive one. Our team will work had to make sure Lake View is a true home from home for your father. Best wishes, Fae

My mother has been at the home for 8 weeks. Following a difficult period prior to going to Lake View she is now extremely happy, has regained her confidence and totally loves the home. This has reduced the pressure on my family enormously and it is a delight to visit her.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Marketing Officer at Lake View Residential Care Home
Dear Chris,

Thank you for your lovely comments. I am really glad to hear that your mother is settling in so well at Lake View - despite it being a difficult transition at times, care really can enable families to be families again, rather than carers. You are always welcome to visit, so please do stop by at any time! Best wishes, Fae

The staff are very caring - engaging with both the residents and visitors. Nothing is too much trouble.

Mom came to the home in home in July following a fall, they have fitted a falls alarm in her room and also taken delivery of a profile bed since her last fall three weeks ago.

I've been here since May 2016. Having become somewhat withdrawn during the early stages, I was hardly involved with the care home day to day affairs. Thereafter, I became increasingly but slowly more active and a return to my more "normal" extrovert self. I now wear several "hats". Coordinator/chair of the home residents weekly meetings, co-editor, regular contributor to the home newsletter, "bingo caller". Question writer and quizmaster of weekly house quiz. I am a keen and competent guitarist and am preparing a concert for June 2018.
