The team at Lake View are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and supporting them to have a very active role to play in how their home is run. There are resident ambassadors, who do everything from showing new residents and their families around their home, to providing feedback at residents’ meetings.

The home is thriving, with so many activities to enjoy, from karaoke, pamper sessions and a knit and natter group, to movie afternoons with popcorn in the home’s cinema, trips out into the community, pub lunches and animal visits.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, from school children who take part in activities, to a community choir, musicians and entertainers who regularly perform for the residents. And the home has its own piano for anyone who fancies some spontaneous music!

Lake View has its own a hair salon, with a mobile hairdresser visiting weekly, as well as a coffee shop for ‘Tea Tuesdays’ and relaxing with loved ones, who are welcome at any time.

The beautiful landscaped gardens have raised planters and wheelchair friendly pathways. This summer the residents have loved growing their own fruit and vegetables from seed in the polytunnel, harvesting their produce for the chef to use in the kitchen, giving them such a sense of achievement.

Mealtimes are another highlight, with home-cooked meals and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea. In the dining rooms residents enjoy everything from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays, plus themed menus for special occasions.

The spacious bedrooms are beautifully furnished and decorated, with walk-in wet room showers.

Loved ones are embraced into life in the home and are welcome at any time. And there is a private family and friends Facebook page, where they can see what the residents have been enjoying doing, even if they can’t be there in person.

Mum has been a resident at Lake View Residential Care Home for nearly 6 years. The staff are friendly, caring and provide an excellent service. The activities on offer are numerous and staff always encourage residents to take part. We are kept informed of Mum’s care and couldn’t wish for a more caring
environment for her to live in.

My mother went in during Covid with dementia she coped better than we did especially my dad. The home did everything they could to ease the process for my dad who found it hard to come to terms with the situation. When my dad passed last July the home have been exceptional with my mother who can be
challenging and has treated her with dignity carrying out a very difficult job thank you to all the staff.

My father has dementia and is well cared for and looked after. The staff are always friendly and helpful and keep me informed should any issues arise. The home is always kept clean and tidy. It has been difficult over the covid lockdown periods but I feel the staff have managed this very well.

Mum's been a resident at Lake View Residential Care Home for the last four years, including Covid. I can't put into words the care and hard work of the staff,

Lovely clean home with wonderful caring staff. Staff are always available to discuss how Mum is doing and offer advice and support to ensure she is well looked after.

Having visited the care home at least twice a week since last July, I have no hesitation whatsoever and justifiably so in saying that Lake View care home meets every expectation in every department. You could not wish for better management and care staff, and having eaten there on a couple of occasions,
I can vouch for the excellent quality of the food.

Travelled down from Scotland to see my mum for the first time since she moved into Lakeview.
After seeing Lakeview, I am honestly so impressed.
My sister had already expressed how much Mum had settled in, but I was so happy to see Mum in an environment where she was not only safe, comfortable and
well cared for, but she was finding her confidence again, was joining in with activities and helping out with the other service users of Lakeview.
The staff were very friendly at all times, and nothing seemed to be much trouble for any one of them.
I could tell that Mum was happy in Lakeview, and that was the most important part of my travel down to Telford.

This is one of, if not the best care homes in Telford. The staff truly care for the residents making it as much fun as possible for them and of course fun for themselves which makes for a happy team, the most important part. Nothing is ever too much trouble and in the current financial climate, receiving
not the best pay they are angels. We always recommend Lake View to our friends and family. Having had some experience with previous care settings for my late mother-in-law and previously for my father-in-law I can honestly say it is brilliant. Giving us complete peace of mind that dad is in the best place and is as happy as he can be.

From the setting, team and management all are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. The food is amazing with plenty of variety and if my dad wanted something different it was no trouble. The care teams are attentive, and caring and go out of their way to help and attend to his needs.
My dad felt listened to, helped, respected and looked after. I felt relaxed knowing he was being looked after.

We have used Lake View for the past two years during very difficult times with Covid lockdowns until government testing rules were lifted, managed to keep Covid out of the home.
Staff are always courteous, friendly and supportive, some have become friends. I call the home almost every day and there
is always someone willing to take time to tell me how mum is, whether she is eating etc. and also to offer me support when I feel overwhelmed. I visit twice a week and often chat with other residents and staff as my mum sleeps a lot. I have witnessed staff coping with very difficult situations with patience and empathy. Residents are well looked after, with a variety of activities, hobbies, crafts, and social events, should they wish to participate.
Staff on reception are so friendly and happy to answer any queries and have offered me a shoulder on more than one occasion. Highly recommended.

I call Lakeview almost every day to find out how my mother is and every time l call l am treated with kindness. Although on occasions my mothers behaviour is challenging l always feel that the staff are supporting her appropriately. The environment in which my mother is cared for is well kept, freshly
decorated and the catering is excellent. I have the utmost respect for the wonderful staff who have worked so very hard over the covid period and who continue to offer a first rate attitude to their critical role as health care professionals. Please note they are still wearing masks to safeguard the residents but personally l feel that this is making a physically and mentally exhausting job even harder!

Our Mother/Mother-in-law, grandmother was admitted to Lakeview in May for a short period of respite.
Since she has been in their care she has been a different lady. She settled in well from the very first day and happily joins in all activities. She does not want to leave there and has made many new
friends.
We can't thank the amazing staff enough for their care. They are all kind, friendly, caring and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them, they treat the residents like members of their family.
The rooms and communal areas are clean, bright and airy. Covid procedures are in place and adhered to. Reception staff are the same kind, friendly and efficient.

Since my mother has been a resident within the Dementia Unit at Lake View Residential Care Home I have been very pleased with the standard of care provided to her. Any health concerns which occur, no matter how minor, are always fed back to me along with resultant treatment if necessary. The home is
clean and well maintained and the rooms bright and airy complete with en-suite facilities which allow personal freedom. However, the shining light of this care home is by far the staff right through from reception whose politeness is exceptional, to management and of course the carers themselves. The best compliment I can make is that all the staff treat the residents as if they were from their own family supporting them with respect and dignity as well as offering friendliness. I can confidently say that my mother who is very vulnerable, feels completely safe in their hands and above all else remains happy.

We are very happy with how we have been informed of the progress, she seems happy, settled and a lot more calm so that is wonderful. The food is very good and she is eating well. The care home staff at Lakeview have been fantastic and really helpful not only to my dad but also to me and my family. It was a difficult time in the beginning but they stuck with it and helped my dad settle in and is now really settled. The staff keep me and the family up to date with everything from
the well being of my dad and any changes in procedures so we are fully prepared for every visit. Booking times for visit is always easy and done in a friendly manner.
Overall we are really happy with the staff at Lakeview and everything they have done for my dad, you are all fantastic and I have the peace of mind that my dad is in the right place.

I initially chose Lake View because of their understanding and support since I was moving my mother into a care home for the first time and from a different area of the country. There was always someone at the end of the phone to help, advise and reassure us. She moved in during lockdown, but every
effort was made to keep me informed as to how she was settling in and facilitate visits. Her room is clean, comfortable and well-appointed. I have noticed a significant improvement in her well-being and general health. Most importantly, I have found all the staff to be friendly, cheerful and caring towards my mum.

My name is Dannie and I am the Home Manager at Lake View I am also the Home's Moving and Handling Trainer and a trained Mental Health First Aider. I have worked for Sanctuary for 10 years. My Background has always been working in the care industry from the age of 16 when I started as a domestic assistant.


I love working at Lake View and I have a passion for leading a team that is caring, and kind and will go that extra mile for our amazing residents and their loved ones.
