Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd

9.7 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

Meadow View Residential Care Home

from Lisa W (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mother has lived at home with carers the last 7 years since her stroke. She is now having to sell her house to pay for her care. Her fear was to end up in residential care. Mum came to Meadow View with a very negative attitude. However, since Mum arrived at Meadow, the staff team have been nothing
but helpful, empathetic, understanding and care for her needs. My mother has praised all the staff, is building relationships and coming to terms with the change in her circumstances. I have found the team to be helpful to us, her family, and they listen to us and act accordingly. We are happy with Mum's care.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Senior Marketing Officer at Meadow View Residential Care Home

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how difficult such a big transition can be, and we're so pleased to hear that your mum is beginning to feel more settled and supported at Meadow View. Your kind words mean a great deal to us all.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

During my mother's five month stay at Ridgewood Court, she always received excellent care and attention, specific to her needs and personality. Carers were generally very thoughtful and considerate, and always willing to engage with mum and the family. During mum's final days, all the staff and particularly
the team leaders, showed her and us such love and support that we will be forever grateful. Many thanks to all the staff at Ridgewood.

The Rosary Nursing Home

from Carole D (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum only spent 10 months at The Rosary and whilst she was quite agitated when she first moved in, she did settle and always seemed calm and relaxed when I visited her. The staff there were lovely and genuinely caring and mum always spoke very highly of them. Although mum didn't like to socialise the
communal areas were bright and welcoming and I often saw activities going on. I would like to thank everyone for taking such good care of mum during the last months of her life and for being so supportive and sympathetic at the end.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Senior Marketing Officer at The Rosary Nursing Home

Thank you so much for your thoughtful message. We're truly grateful that your mum felt calm and cared for during her time at The Rosary. It means a great deal to know that our team's compassion and support made a difference, especially in her final months. We'll make sure your kind words are shared with everyone who helped care for her, they'll be deeply appreciated.

Willow Gardens Residential and Nursing Home

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My brother was cared for at Willow Gardens from 21 August 2024 till 11 April 2025. When he died all the staff were fantastic. Cleaners, carers, nurses, managers even contractors all went out of their way to help my brother and make his life that more better. Managers and staff were busy but always had
time to stop and chat. Some of the cares even visited him on their day off. I could not wish for a better team to look after my brother. Thank you all at Willow Garden Care Home.

My Mum has been at Regent for a number of years now; she turned 100 in February this year. The team at Regent have been amazing with her and there is no doubt they are her family. I have had peace of mind from day one. The Managers who lead the team are very approachable, and the standards are excellent.

The manager and the team at Fernihurst provided an outstanding service from start to finish for my Grandad who went in for respite and sadly passed away after a month of his stay. The staff couldn't have done more for him and my family, and he settled in extremely well.

I have submitted a review before, but feel I would like to send another one as my mum was new there and I didn't feel I assessed it properly then. I have been very impressed with this home. The staff are wonderful, caring, patient and good with mum who can be a challenge due to her many problems, I
feel confident she is cared for well and the staff do their best to keep her happy and well cared for, the food is very nice and they have a lot of choice daily and always being offered food and drinks. There are many good activities which I have also attended and the residents seem to enjoy them a lot .Especially the recent sports day. My mum was so happy that day . Lovely to see. Her room is always beautifully cleaned and her clothes washed and looked after well. Mum always looks clean and well dressed . Mum has company all the time which she needs and never feels lonely .I am very impressed and would be happy to live there myself if it ever came to that!

Aashna House Residential Care Home

from Dipen P (Son of Resident) published on 14 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother passed away a few months ago and hence my father is alone if we are away. This has been fine but he had a fall suffering several cracked ribs and a head wound. We had to go away for 1 week and we were looking at our options and Aashna offered us a respite care option. My father has never left
our home and we were all quite nervous but the care he received was exemplary. His room was clean and very bright and comfortable and he even commented on how well he was looked after and the carers could not do enough to make him feel comfortable for the 2 weeks he stayed there. He came home happy and we felt he was safe and secure at a vulnerable time for him. The greatest compliment we can give is that he has said if he has to go anywhere again it should be Aashna!

Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Aashna House Residential Care Home

Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased your father felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for during his stay with us. It's wonderful to hear he returned home happy and would choose Aashna again-this truly means a lot to our team.

My dad became a resident in April. From the very beginning he has received exceptional care from both carers and nurses. Staff are lovely and friendly and approachable and nothing is ever a bother. Although my dad does not take part in any activities there's always something going on.
This was a massive
decision for my family to have dad move here but we have no regrets. I have not one bad thing to say about this home.

On arrival I was greeted at reception and went downstairs all staff I saw smiled and friendly mum was sat in lounge/tv area - she was sleeping. Staff came up to me welcoming, got me a chair. Mum was really cosy with a blanket, clean, washed and fresh. Her room was clean and fresh. It is lovely to see
how the home has improved over the last 12 months, friendly staff, who care and she is always looking clean, hair washed etc. Sadly she can't join in with activities so much these days but lovely to see and read that so much is going on. Thank you.

My aunt was in Glenfairn House Care Home for short time earlier this year. We were so impressed by the attentive care she received and by the caring nature of all the staff. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for them and they were always so friendly. The home kept us fully informed with regular
updates on the health and wellbeing of my aunt, and any requests were dealt with promptly. Visiting times were very flexible and tea and biscuits were often provided! We looked at several care homes in the area and were so pleased that my aunt secured a place at Glenfairn.
