9.6 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

My mum became a resident in forefaulds in August 25 ,there was a couple of wee teething problems at the beginning but since then she has settled in great. She has a much better quality of life than she did at home and we know she is safe there. The staff are great and she's encouraged to get involved
in activities she enjoys. My elderly dad visits twice a day and is made to feel welcome at all times, as are the rest of the family. Really can't fault the care she receives and we are kept informed every step of the way.
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at Forefaulds Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such kind feedback. Extremely happy with this carehome..An absolutely amazing effort by all staff over Christmas to make it lovely for residents and visitors.
All staff are approachable and helpful. Take any concerns seriously and act on them.
I feel they know the residents needs and know us as a family. A very much
needed personal approach. From Diane on reception, Alison in admin and Ed who seems to always be there for our queries and to all the staff who make mum smile

Mom came to the Greenslades in February 25 until the 11th of Jan 2026 when she sadly passed away. I cannot thank the staff the nurses and the carers for the Care and kindness towards my mum especially during her final days. the quality of Care here is excellent. Everybody cares to a high standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenslades to anyone for their loved one. I shall miss the staff and coming in to see Mom in her lovely room. My mother moved into Ivydene in Sept 2025. As a whole family we have been nothing other than been blown away by the carer and support we all have received. Everyone we have come across have such genuine care for the residents and their families going that extra mile and giving 110% at all times. The
entertainment, outings, food and general enthusiasm is amazing. Mum's room is beautifully clean and every need is met. Mum has a new lease of life and as a family we do too! We cannot thank enough.

My parents have been residents at Aashna House for just over 18 months. I am very pleased to say that although the previous year has been challenging for my parents health wise, the Team are excellent. My father did not want to go to hospital so the carers and nursing at home team looked after him very
well at Aashna House. Thankfully, my father's health improved due to the care he received. The food and activities are both very good. The home is always so clean and a pleasure to visit. The residents are treated with kindness which is so important.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My sister has been in Aashna House for over 3 years after being with me for 12 years so I have been very closely concerned with the care she is receiving.
Recently I spent Diwali function held at the carehome. It was deeply satisfying to see the happiness on the faces of all the residents. How everyone
was included in rejoicing and encouraged to sing and clap. Even the ones whose relatives were not present. All celebrations such as Christmas, Eid, New Year are also rejoiced.
Individual needs and health issues are constantly monitored. My sister is getting physiotherapy to improve her mobility. She has been given a zimmer frame and a wheelchair which can be used when needed as her tremors have increased.
Not only does the carehome provide for physical needs but also provide spiritual care by allocating a room to be used where clients of different religion can congregate and conduct their prayers.
The carehome is clean, calm and very peaceful thus creating a positive atmosphere.
Reply from Kate Czeczko, Business Development Manager at Aashna House Residential Care HomeThank you for sharing your lovely experience. It's wonderful to hear how included and joyful the residents feel during celebrations, and how attentively your sister's physical and spiritual needs are supported. You've painted a picture of a truly caring, peaceful home, and it's clear she's in very good hands.

My father has been a resident for five years and during that time I have been happy with the way all the staff have contributed to looking after dad from helping him to settle in and continuing to adapt to dad's needs as they change. The staff all treat dad with dignity and kindness. I am pleased to
say that a lot of improvements have recently been put in place at Kintyre, including higher levels of staff, improvements to the building and garden and better communication between management and relatives all of which have made a positive difference. I feel welcomed by all the staff and enjoy chatting to the other residents and since our new activities co ordinator started a few months ago dad and I have enjoyed taking part in the fun activities.

My mother was at BGL for two and a half years before her death at the age of 101. The care was simply first class, nothing too much trouble. When it came to find care for my brother in law it was a simple choice, and he has been there for nearly two years. If there is anything he needs, we are contacted
straight away. It has been an enormous weight off our shoulders to know that he is receiving the quality of service and support that he deserves. Thanks to all BGL.

Lime tree court really is like one big family. My mom has been resident there for almost three years now, and she is very well looked after. Every member of staff is kind towards my mom and they are each worth their weight in gold.
When I visit I feel like I am going to see my family, not only my
mom. Staff are so welcoming and offer support and guidance when needed. Medical advice is sought without delay and when appropriate.
Food is always available and always smells amazing!
There is always something going on for residents to engage with, exercise/hairdressing/singing or old football matches being shown on tv all of it is suitable and stimulating for residents. Thank you Lime tree.

Although I've put Dec 2025 it relates to most of 2025. The last year has been particularly difficult health wise for me and my husband. So to know mom was receiving and continues to receive the best care possible took a heap load of stress off me. The home keeps in contact with social media group chat,
phone calls etc. So I was never out the loop. I can't thank Tyler and her whole team enough for their care and dedication to the residents of Lime Tree Court. There's always something going on, Tracey is a god send for all the things she organises. I wouldn't have mom anywhere else. Thank you Tyler and Team.
