9.7 Group Review Score (the average from all locations with a review score)
  • Care Homes Owned by Sanctuary Care Ltd
Sanctuary Care was first established in 1995 to provide older people with a range of high-quality care services, including residential, dementia and nursing care.

Part of Sanctuary Group, which is an exempt charity, Sanctuary Care has over 110 homes across England and Scotland. They are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation meaning the surplus made by Sanctuary Care is reinvested into the business which allows them to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well-maintained homes.

They believe in going above and beyond to enrich people's lives - whether that's residents, their loved ones or staff.

For residents, Sanctuary Care looks at what makes every person unique, the people close to their hearts, their passions and dreams yet to be fulfilled, and the continuity of living they need to feel content, happy and fulfilled. Knowing all of this enables the teams to deliver truly person-centred care to each and every individual who lives in the homes.

The Green Residential Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We had a friendly welcome, and as soon as I gave my aunt's name, they knew exactly who I was talking about. Sitting and chatting in the lounges was friendly. When lunch was called, she was welcomed to a table. We returned after lunch and sat with her in the bedroom. She relaxed and slept. Perhaps a
chair for her in the bedroom would be good? We returned the next day, and she was up and dressed. As we do not visit often, she does not remember us well, but responded in conversation about familiar things. The home is a place she feels secure and is "home". Thank you.

Mum is being well cared for and is comfortable in her room. A few minor issues have always been dealt with when addressed. Mum prefers to stay in her room as she feels safer; the lounge area makes her feel anxious. She has a lovely garden view which she enjoys looking out on to.
Reply from Jacob Hardie, Design and Marketing Assistant at The Rosary Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear your mum feels comfortable and well cared for, and that she enjoys the peaceful view of the garden from her room. It's lovely to know that any concerns raised have been addressed promptly. We're committed to making sure every resident feels safe and supported in the way that suits them best.

Lovely clean rooms - very light and airy. Carers are very attentive and always pleasant. My mother is very happy and well looked after by all the staff. As visitors, we are made to feel very welcome, and the staff are always helpful in getting my mother ready for trips outside of the home on request.
Special diets adhered to, and food of good quality and variety. Rooms are always clean. Furnishings of good quality throughout the home. I would recommend the Windsor to others.

We looked at a fair few homes in roughly a 5 mile radius whilst looking for dad. The Beeches was the last one we viewed after not being too impressed with the previous ones.
It was an instant winner with both Frankie and Conner making us feel that this was the place for dad.
As soon as we walked
in you could feel that this was a place where people genuinely cared.
Dad always says that everyone is lovely and that he feels safe there. He really enjoys the food and takes part in the activities. 10/10.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly honoured that your family chose us, and it's heartwarming to hear your dad feels safe, cared for and enjoys the food and activities. I would like to say a massive thank you to you and your team for helping look after my grandma all the years she was at Pitcairn. You all did an amazing job of welcoming her into your family and made my family and I feel so at ease with the level of care and love you showed her. There are not enough
words to say how grateful we all are for your hard work and support. You and your team made her last few years some to remember

Guy's Court helped my mum much more than the hospital rehab ward. Her mobility and cognitive function improved so much that she could eventually come home. I am still shocked by how much difference the care and attention she received has made

My husband has been a resident of Kintyre House since Feb. 2024.
The care and respect he is given from staff and management is wonderful. I can't thank them enough.
All done to a very high standard. Most important he is safe, secure and content, every need taken care of in a calm and happy environment.
I
would highly recommend Kintyre House.

All the staff are friendly & helpful. The smell is pretty strong at times upstairs. The food needs to be catered for elderly people - not pizza and beans or salads, most can't eat it, old-fashioned cottage pie, onions, fish pie, etc, 1970's food and cups of tea and coffee throughout the day whenever
they want one. Let people know who's working the shift, and give a menu on a regular basis to those who can't get downstairs; also, sometimes they just want a little bit of company.

My father, 90 year old, had been living in his own home and after a fall lost his mobility. Having to go into a home was a massive change for him. The application and assessment process was easy. He was treated with respect and kindness, not at all patronising on his arrival. All the staff are kind
and caring, going about their work with a smile, my father is settling in slowly, with staff doing their best to assist.

My father had been very ill in August and we placed him for 12 days Respite care at Beechwood, Holly Green, Upton on Severn.
The staff were all very kind & friendly and professional. They welcomed us all, made my dad feel very at home and quickly they learnt all his needs.
The care was outstanding.
The food wonderful and the homely atmosphere a joy. After 12 days my dad was walking with his frame to go for coffee and for lunch where at home he was unable to walk. Fabulous care and attention from all staff.

We had both my mum and dad at the beeches - mum for dementia care and dad in residential. Unfortunately my dad passed in January leaving mum there. As much as we know mum is safe, warm and well fed at the beeches, we feel that there are not enough activities for the dementia patients to keep them occupied
- more so for those with not severe dementia. We hoped there would be a little more on offer in way of distraction for her. I have mentioned this and been assured this will happen. My aunt stayed there fir a month as a resident whilst mum was getting over dad passing, and she also mentioned that there wasn't a lot of activities going go on for the dementia patients. Just hoping this resolves as the staff in the home are all so lovely and we are all made to feel welcome visiting g there. One BIG disappointment is the WiFi. Mum isn't able to FaceTime her family from her room due to the WiFi cutting her off. Again, we have spoken to the staff and hope this can be resolved soon!!

I flew out from USA to be with my mom and my family after my father passed. I spent a lot of time with mom in the home and I must say that I really missed it when I left to go back home. The care staff were wonderful, the manager is very responsive when addressed and the place itself is lovely and
homey. The only complaint I may have is the food, it wasn't very appetizing and my mom often will complain. I realize in an institution like the beeches that they have to please many people and not all will like the food, but it could be improved upon. Other than that and the terrible WiFi connectivity which severely restricts my ability to communicate with my mom, I have only good things left to say.

Mum is now 100 years and 8 months! Has been in Regent since 2018. I have never regretted the home Mum moved into Regent, it was home from home for her and peace of mind for me. She has had some health issues, understandable at her age, and I have had regular updates from the team. The Manager and Deputy
are amazing, as are the rest of the team. Low staff turnover says it all, these guys are dedicated, I will continue to post how Regent is an all-around care home. Thanks
