Review of Sherwood Forest Residential and Nursing Home from Julie W (Niece of Resident) published on 24 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Our family are very happy with the care my aunt is currently receiving at Sherwood (since Feb 2026). Health issues are dealt with very promptly, along with any concerns we or my aunt might have (staff happy to take calls at any time to discuss). The staff at Sherwood try and create an upbeat atmosphere in the Home and go out of their way to engage the residents who want to get involved. Standard of cleanliness is excellent, the food is wonderful (which my aunt looks forward to and tells me about what was on the menu). Visitors are welcome at any time.

The staff are a lovely, dedicated team who have clearly been carefully selected to reflect the home's exceptionally high standards of care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sherwood to anyone who has the difficult task of finding a home for their relative.

Reply from Jacob Hardie, Reviews team at Sherwood Forest Residential and Nursing Home

Review of Brambles Residential Care Home from P C (Daughter of Resident) published on 24 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The Brambles staff are very respectful, supportive and helpful towards residents. Facilities at the Brambles are good, however it would be good to have air conditioning especially on the top floor. Its lovely that the care home has "movie days", when singers come in, residents do love a good old sing song! It would be good to have more activities available. The food quality is good and such a variety. Its great that each floor celebrate every residents birthday's - this is such a nice touch. My mum has settled in really well and is enjoying her time here. Its a peace of mind for me knowing that she has 24 hour care. Well done to the carers as their roles can be very challenging!!

Review of Kintyre House Care Home from J P (Resident / Service User) published on 24 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
As a recent newcomer to Kintyre house, I am delighted in a kindness and professionalism of your staff. The food is good and the ambience is excellent, particularly relating to the conservatory dining area. Activities are regular and varied to suit all ages and health condition of the residence. It does make one feel very much at home for elderly people who due to their health and age would find leaving their old homes hard to accept.

I have personally had a few health issues requiring hospitalisation in the short while that I have been here and the staff have been most attentive.

Cedar Grange was always clean & tidy on visits, as was our godmother. Staff were polite, helpful, friendly & caring. They always appeared happy too, nothing was a problem for them. Review of Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home from Liz D (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mam went in to Pavillion in May 2026, she settled immediately because the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
She spent a couple of weeks in her room getting familiar with her surroundings and now socialises with other residents whether in the dining room or taking part in activities.
Although she's terminally ill I can honestly say she looks happier and healthier than I've seen her in months.
Three other people recommended this home to us and I would recommend to others too.
The staff are angels in uniform, treating patients with dignity and respect.

The staff aren't in a work place.. they are in the resident's home which is great to see.

Review of Willow Gardens Residential and Nursing Home from David M (Son of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I want to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care and kindness that the staff at Willow Gardens provided to my parents Barbara and John.
The staff's warmth, dedication, and compassion made them feel truly at home and brought them immense happiness during their time there.
A special thank you to Lindsay, the manager, for her exceptional care, leadership, and unwavering support. Her commitment ensured they received the best possible care.
Willow Gardens is more than just an excellent care home-it's a big, happy family where the staff treat everyone with dignity, respect, and warmth. I'm deeply grateful for the love and care my parents received, especially in their final years.

I highly recommend Willow Gardens to anyone seeking a loving and supportive home for their loved ones.

Review of The Winsor Nursing Home from Bridget G (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father stayed at The Winsor for nearly two years, and during that time he was looked after so well, from the nurses carefully tending to his many medical needs, the activities co-ordinator encouraging him to engage with everyone & the activities, to the many wonderful carers, treating him with patience & respect. I would also like to commend the staff from the minute you enter, being so friendly & supportive to me & my family, through ups & downs

Review of Blackwood Residential Care Home from Marilyn C (Wife of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I continue to find staff friendly and efficient. There is a wide range of activities to excite residents and keep them busy. The parties and special events always look as if residents are having fun. It is lovely to see them laughing. My husband loves the garden and a chat with staff.
He likes the food! And enjoys talking with the chef.
The idea of a special residents day is lovely and I know my husband enjoys these days.

Staff come across as a united team working together to support residents.

Review of Aashna House Residential Care Home from Jigna P (Respite Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our experience with Aashna house residential care home has been exceptional. We have used the home in the past for respite care and again last month. I would not use any other home for my father-in-law who is 92 years old. Smita and her team are exceptional in making sure all the residents are very well looked after and they all go out of their way to provide good care and service to all the residents. No ask to the staff is a big ask. They would do anything happily and with a big smile on their face. I can say that because whenever I had been to visit my father-in-law while he was staying at the home, I had observed that myself. My father-in-law was very happy to be there, and he cannot praise enough about how good and helpful the staff are. My father-in-law was bit apprehensive a couple of years ago when he had to go there for the first time but since then he is so happy to stay there, this gives us peace of mind, that he is happy and well looked after while we are away.

Review of Aashna House Residential Care Home from Dipen P (Son of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father is now in his 90's and a little unsteady on his feet and though independent needs to have care around him. So he lives at home with us but when we are away we need to have some care provided for him. Smitaben and her team have done this now for a few times and each time the care and his stay have been wonderful, so much so that Dad calls it his home from home. All the staff are so friendly and caring and the food provided is wholesome and tasty. When he is there he attends the daily exercise classes and often there are outsiders who come in with different things and he has thoroughly enjoyed those as well. This is a care home that is truly a home and a safe and caring place to leave your loved ones.

Review of Forefaulds Care Home from C R (Son of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

After visiting and comparing several residential care homes in the area, we chose Fourfaulds Nursing Home in East Kilbride for my dad, and we haven't regretted that decision.

One of the biggest differences we noticed was the staffing levels. Fourfaulds had noticeably more staff on duty than the other homes we visited, which gave us confidence that residents would receive the time, attention and care they deserve. That was a major factor in our choice.

My dad is looked after extremely well, and it gives our family great peace of mind knowing he is safe, comfortable and treated with dignity and respect. Every member of staff we have met has been kind, caring and approachable. They are always happy to answer questions, keep us updated and make us feel welcome whenever we visit.

The home is clean, well maintained and has a warm, friendly atmosphere. It is clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents and work hard to ensure they are happy and well looked after.
