Lyons Court is a beautiful home, with the main lounge area set in a converted timbered barn, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the stunning gardens.

With just 26 bedrooms and a team of staff who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, the home has a warm, family feel the moment you walk through the door. Many of the team at Lyons Court have been with the home for over 10 years, providing that continuity and sense of family.   

They provide residential and dementia care, as well as respite care breaks, which are ideal for carers looking after loved ones, who would like to plan a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

There are so many activities to enjoy, including regular performances from singers and musicians, animal visits and pamper sessions with manicures and hand massages. A hairdresser also visits for regular appointments in the home’s salon.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy summer barbecues, garden parties and community events. With wheelchair friendly pathways and a water feature, the home has a gardening club, where residents grow their own flowers and also produce for the chef to use in the kitchen.

The team are passionate about residents having an active role in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who welcomes new families, supports with staff interviews and provides feedback on everything from the menus to the activities on offer.

In the dining rooms residents enjoy delicious, home cooked meals. From roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays, and lighter bites like homemade soups. The chef is a talented baker, with freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1419 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Our mum has been a resident since September 2024 during this time mum has been treated with loving care by all who work here.
Mum is now very comfortable knowing the carers and staff know her well and her needs. Management are very approachable and react quickly to any of our concerns with regards
to our mum.

My Mother in law has been a resident at Lyons Court since June 2023. I have always been impressed by the care she has received. Over the years she has been a resident, her health has deteriorated gradually and her care needs have increased. The extra care she has needed has always been addressed by
the home without the family having to raise any issues.
Lyons Court is a small home, where the friendly staff know their residents exceptionally well and their needs. The care provided is excellent and my Mother in law is very happy there and has a close relationship with her carers and I do too.

We were very happy with the service our dad received while he was in the care home. The Staff were really helpful & considerate, nothing was too much trouble. A caring and very personal hone. My wife has settled down very quickly and the care staff make every effort to assist in any way they can.
Perhaps more importantly the Home Manager is (duties permitting) always available and very approachable.
The whole atmosphere of the home is one of calm and care.

My son was a resident at Lyons Court care home for a number of years where he received the very best love and care. You hear horror stories about care homes. This does not apply to Lyons court and was treated with absolute love and respect. The premises were always in absolute first class condition.
The food in line with a top hotel and if he wanted anything it was there for him straight away I could not forget the place. My son loved it there.

My mum has been in Lyons Court since November 2024.
Having visited a number of Care homes we chose this establishment.
Mum has dementia.
The management staff have been very supportive, and professional when giving advice to move Mum in, that was very useful and took a lot of the stress out.
Mum
has a lovely room, which is clean and tidy and spacious.
It's the small attention to detail that impresses my family.
A bath once a week ( they have an electric chair that lifts the resident into and out of the bath. Also a sensor so the water is not too hot or cold)
Milkshakes once a day to help with energy.
Also, the 'activities' each morning to simulate, when they can is great. So residents are not just left in their rooms.
Thank you Lyons staff on my Mum's final journey.

My mum has been in Lyons Court for nine years. She has been very happy there and has always found the staff to be kind, caring and compassionate. They have always given her the best care and have often gone the 'extra mile' in arranging for her to have her hair done or by painting her nails for her.
We have been extremely happy with the care that she has always received there and found all of the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. When Mum's health deteriorated they communicated with me continuously and I was always kept up-to-date with all of the doctor's visits and everything else that happened. Unfortunately, Mum passed away recently and she wanted to be in Lyons Court, the place that had been her home for so long. A big 'thank you' to all of the staff that looked after our Mum so well for so long. Thank you.

I just wanted to thank and commend all the staff that have welcomed my 103-year-old nan over the last two months, she feels part of the Lyons Court family, the staff all go the extra mile to make Nan feel special from chatting to her, baths, cups of tea and booking her hair and nails in, the support
and communication to family has been over and above what we could have asked for. Nan's health since being at Lyons Court has really improved, she no longer feels alone, has made some wonderful friends, loves the yummy food which is clear as she has put weight on! She looks wonderful we are very proud of her and to see how the staff have invested in Nan and all the residents is something very special, so huge thanks to you all we really appreciate your hard work, kind and patient natures. Look forward to Nan's next chapter at Lyons Court, you’ve certainly all given Nan a new lease of life, thanks.

My mother-in-law is a new resident in Lyon’s Court. She is 103 years old so a very new experience at a good age. The manager and her team could not be more professional, caring, kind and always ready to help. My mother-in-law is really happy and the whole family are so grateful for the wonderful care

I am very pleased to have my parents staying at Lyons Court. The care from all the staff is excellent. They are both happy and settled. The food is very good with both their preferences and diets catered for. The chefs make excellent cakes as and when required e.g. birthdays, etc.
They both engage
in daily activities and also enjoy the entertainment provided at times.
The home is very well managed and any concerns are always addressed promptly.

My mum moved into Lyons Court Care Home at the beginning of July. It became clear immediately that the discussions from the initial meeting with the manager regarding Mum had been shared with the staff and they 'got' Mum immediately.
The staff are fab! Mum is treated with professionalism, care, and
compassion. She has Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's and the patience and understanding she is shown is amazing.
When we visit the staff are always friendly and approachable and keep me well informed on Mum's wellbeing.

Such a pleasant care home. The manager is fantastic and always available to speak to and takes care of all residents and staff. Would highly recommend this home. Staff are always very pleasant, but it's the manager who makes it with her care towards families, residents and staff.

Thanks to the dedicated staff at Lyons Court Residential Care Home, my mum had an easy transition into the care home and is very happy and settled there. Staff are always welcoming, approachable and friendly.
Mum has vascular dementia and is always treated with dignity, compassion and respect and
they know her well. We are always kept informed of everything relating to mum and I am extremely happy with the care she receives.
