Lyons Court is a beautiful home, with the main lounge area set in a converted timbered barn, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the stunning gardens.

With just 26 bedrooms and a team of staff who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, the home has a warm, family feel the moment you walk through the door. Many of the team at Lyons Court have been with the home for over 10 years, providing that continuity and sense of family.   

They provide residential and dementia care, as well as respite care breaks, which are ideal for carers looking after loved ones, who would like to plan a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

There are so many activities to enjoy, including regular performances from singers and musicians, animal visits and pamper sessions with manicures and hand massages. A hairdresser also visits for regular appointments in the home’s salon.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy summer barbecues, garden parties and community events. With wheelchair friendly pathways and a water feature, the home has a gardening club, where residents grow their own flowers and also produce for the chef to use in the kitchen.

The team are passionate about residents having an active role in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who welcomes new families, supports with staff interviews and provides feedback on everything from the menus to the activities on offer.

In the dining rooms residents enjoy delicious, home cooked meals. From roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays, and lighter bites like homemade soups. The chef is a talented baker, with freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

We just want to say a big thank you to all the care staff at Lyons Court. They are always welcoming when we visit and demonstrate great support and care to my mum.
In particular, three members of staff, are brilliant in the way they speak with Mum - although she has advanced dementia they treat her
as an individual person and know exactly what she likes/dislikes and how she likes to do things.
Well done all at Lyons Court.

Our mum is very happy and settled at Lyons Court Residential Care Home, after needing to be moved at short notice. The manager was so helpful in ensuring Mum's move was as stress-free as possible.
All of the staff are very welcoming and friendly and are so kind to Mum. There are lots of varied activities
which Mum especially enjoys.

My mother has lived in Lyons Court for over 7 years. I am touched by the care and compassion shown by the vast majority of carers that I have met over the years. My mother has a very close bond with the carer currently responsible for her personal care who shows enormous tenderness towards her. Staff
have always been available to answer family questions and concerns and have always acted in my mothers best interests and kept the family promptly updated about our mothers ongoing treatment and circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending Lyons Court.

Sadly I had to put my dear mum into a home with regret but I must say that where mum is living now in Lyons Court she has settled in very well and seems to be happy, she joins in the entertainment fixtures etc laid on. Lyons Court is a converted Barn and I am very fortunate to live very close to my
mum which is good for the family and my elderly father in order to visit mum. A friend of mine told me about Lyons Court and I then made an appointment to go and view the home to which I was greeted by the staff and the Manager to which I was made to feel very welcome likewise so was my mum when she went in the home as a resident. The staff are very attentive towards my mum and that to me is great to think my mum is very happy in her new home.

My mum came for respite in July and was apprehensive as this was new to her and me. Mum enjoyed her time at Lyons Court and wanted to return here for her next respite planned for September with a plan to extend this to a permanent move.
When we first contacted the home to book in for respite unfortunately
there was no bed available.
We were not in a major rush and had a few weeks before Mum was due to attend.
The management have worked extremely hard and have taken all my calls, sometimes a stressed call from me as time was ticking by. They have listened to me on every call and have worked to ensure there was a bed available for the latest time we needed Mum to attend.
I am so very grateful for all their hard work and time spent talking with me and arranging a room.
Today received a wonderful call from the home with the news we have been waiting on, Mum will be going back into Lyons Court for her respite stay in September.

I regularly visit a lady who resides at this home. She was my mother's best friend and they both lived at Lyons Court before my mother died.
My mother's friend always comments to me that the staff are so kind and friendly towards her. She likes to chat to them and they do everything they can to make
her life as comfortable as possible.
Because Lyons Court is relatively small, the staff get to know the residents and their likes and dislikes very well. The residents have lots of choice about what they do and when they do it.
There are daily activities and entertainment provided on weekdays and these are very popular. The home is kept clean and the staff are well trained so they can meet the needs of the residents.
The rooms are comfortable and most of them have a view into one of the attractive garden areas.
I would definitely recommend Lyons Court as a very friendly and professional care home with excellent staff.

The care and kindness she receives is a source of great comfort to me as I know how safe and happy she is.
Where if my husband and I need to live in a care home we would choose Lyons Court.

Lyons Court has coped extremely well during the covid pandemic. I haven’t been able to go in much to see my relative but the home does everything they can to keep relatives in contact with their residents, ie; Facetiming. All the staff are lovely and the home is kept to a high standard all around.

My mum said she’s very happy at Lyons Court, she said the staff are very nice and they appear very nice, through covid they’ve managed to keep my mum safe for which I am grateful.

To place a loved one in care is a very difficult step to take. My mum-in-law has been in Lyons Court since Sept 2020, and of course, Covid has meant distancing. In the last 3 months, I have been relieved and impressed by the loving care shown by the staff. It is easy to see by my mum-in-laws responses
to the carers that good relationships have been established and that they and the cook (who she constantly praises) know her well. The choice of 'home' we made has proved itself to truly be a 'caring home'. I cannot answer all questions due to Covid.

Both of my parents are residents at Lyons Court and have now been there since 2018.
They are very happy with the care and attention they have received. The staff are always welcoming and attentive and the family is kept informed of anything at the home.
The home is well maintained and is always kept
clean.
Visits are arranged if either of my parents needs to attend hospital and are always accompanied by a member of staff.
The person in charge of activities is always praised because of the variety of things they do.
The COVID-19 crisis has been well managed at the home and now that a pod has been installed outside it will make visiting more comfortable for all.
As a family, we are very happy that they are looked after well.

My husband has not been in your care for long and it took him quite a while to settle in. Now he seems quite at home, likes the staff and has grown fond of his carers. He loves the food he has and eats well. It will be lovely when I can see and even hold his hand.

I have found the staff are caring and fo their very best for the residents. The standard of meals seems to be good at the moment but has not always met this standard in the past. Overall, I do have full confidence in the standards of care at Lyons Court.

Mum went into the care home on 30th March in the lockdown due to the virus. I phoned her most days, the staff were very helpful, polite and caring. I was kept informed of Mum's well-being. Mum is very happy and says how lovely the staff are and that the food is amazing.

The COVID-19 virus was in full swing during May. The care home shut down a week and a half earlier (rightly) than the government directive, and have therefore had no cases or deaths due to Coronavirus. This is down to good management and forethought. Mum has been treated well with activities and good
