Overall Experience
I visited my brother Steven for the first time today 16th July, my first impressions were it was spotlessly clean, signing in was easy, many more staff than his previous Care Home, all staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for me, cup of tea, biscuit, my brothers room was large , shower / toilet large and clean, a staff member checked his urine bag to make sure it was not full, unlike his previous home where it was always left full.
The whole building was immaculate, my brother was a lot calmer, the home was really like a 5 star hotel, so basically I cant thank the staff enough for all they do.

James

My Father recently returned to meadow view after a short respite stay. Michael and the team welcomed him like an old friend and nothing was too much trouble. The amazing staff helped him settle in and we could relax again knowing he was safe and being cared for. He loves the banter with the team and genuinely enjoys the atmosphere. EVERY member of staff we have met have been outstanding and updated us regarding dad's condition and needs. I would not hesitate to recommend meadow view and it's truly wonderful staff who always go above and beyond what is expected.

I cannot praise all the staff enough. My grandmother has only recently moved here (6 weeks) and has settled in very well. Nan has a beautiful sunny room opening to the garden and loves all her carers. Everyone is so kind and caring. Nana loves to have a chat with them all. Nan is in the perfect place for us to visit regularly, which is what we all need, as she is nearly 103 years old. Thank you!

My mum has been in Meadow View since 2021. We have always found the staff approachable and helpful. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but concerns and suggestions are always listened to and acted upon.

There is a lovely, welcoming atmosphere in the home, and we are so grateful that we were able to get a place for our mum.

I visited a number of care home before choosing Meadow View for my father. Our family is truly grateful for the outstanding care he received. My father arrived in 2024 in a wheelchair and poorly. A year later he was walking unaided and a happy man.

My mother has lived at home with carers the last 7 years since her stroke. She is now having to sell her house to pay for her care. Her fear was to end up in residential care. Mum came to Meadow View with a very negative attitude. However, since Mum arrived at Meadow, the staff team have been nothing but helpful, empathetic, understanding and care for her needs. My mother has praised all the staff, is building relationships and coming to terms with the change in her circumstances. I have found the team to be helpful to us, her family, and they listen to us and act accordingly. We are happy with Mum's care.

The staff are incredibly caring and supportive. They display a complex understanding of dementia and utilise various tactics with the residents to ensure they eat well, stay calm, take part in activities and are happy. The staff build a rapport with residents, understand their own history, likes and dislikes for really personalised care. The home is always excellently clean, the rooms are comfortable and practical for care needs and homely. The staff are attentive also to family members by checking in and offering refreshments, making us feel like we are visiting a relative in their own home. The staff are worth their weight in gold. Definitely an amazing home. I feel they support and look after my relative as if they were their own family member - 5 stars!

My 97-year-old grandmother spent the final three months of her life in Meadow View and the care and attention she was given was exceptional. I will be eternally grateful for their kindness and patience towards her as her health gradually declined. The staff at all levels within the home were amazing and were always quick to update me on any changes or concerns they had with her. I can never thank them enough and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place for their loved one to be safe and well looked after.

I would like to say my brother was in Meadow View Hersden for several years, the care and patience the staff showed him was amazing. We can’t thank them enough. Sadly he died but even in the end, they were the most caring anyone could ask for. I cannot thank them enough.

Mum went into repsite at Meadow View Care Home four times before she went into permanent care in November 2023. Each time she went in she was happy to return so we knew that we had got her in the right place now. She is very happy there and is well looked after and cared for. She always seems happy when we go in to see her every week. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The staff are the stand out strength at Meadow View Residential Care Home. My mum is in her 90s, frail, but very with it and has been resident for 3 years.
The staff are fantastic, the chef who drops into residents' rooms and makes time to chat about what they like and dislike, others who spend time doing nails (and telling mum about their lives at the same time), others who have popped in on their day off with their friend and their baby as mum just loves babies and another who had been told where mum went for her honeymoon and stopped off to take a photo when she was on holiday, got it developed and gave it to mum. She treasures it and it’s these little things which make residents feel valued and loved.

I went in unannounced at midnight last week because Mum had been poorly and found a member of staff sitting in her room holding her hand because she was feeling low. The Meadow View team are really superb. Really glad CQC recognised the excellent manager and her team.

First-class service from start to finish. Very caring staff who took great care of my stepfather during his one-week respite care. Everything was very clean, lots of activities and could not fault. Ensuite rooms all well cared for and would not hesitate to place my stepfather in the home long term if the need ever arises.

Mum has been in Meadow View for nearly 5 months now and I cannot speak more highly of them. The management and staff are wonderful, cheerful, really caring and understand her needs.
Mum mixes very well with the other residents and takes part in the activities. Meadow View is very good at communicating with the family and responds well and promptly if there are concerns. I have real peace of mind that Mum is in the best place possible.
Thank you for everything you do for my mum.
