The environment at Meadow View is beautiful, with spacious bedrooms with walk-in wet rooms, a sun terrace, welcoming lounges, a salon and cinema room.

But it’s the team, who were proud to receive a Good rating in every area in the latest CQC report (August 2023), that make it feel like home. Providing residential and dementia care, they also offer respite care breaks, which can be booked in advance.

Staff are passionate about enriching their residents’ lives, and every single day, come rain or shine, every member of the team stops what they are doing to spend time doing impromptu activities with the residents.

Meadow View is a thriving, vibrant home, where residents enjoy everything from baking, painting, gardening and reminiscence sessions, to pampering, live music and regular visits from their favourite therapy dog.

This summer (July 2023) the staff organised a ‘Virtual Cruise Week’, where they transported residents to countries across the globe. The chef recreated authentic cuisine from Ghana, Portugal and Italy to name but a few, staff dressed to the nines and the residents took part in themed activities.

And talking of food, the home’s chef, who won Best Chef in the South East Region at this year’s Sanctuary Care Chefs’ Conference (2023), makes delicious home-made meals every day, as well as home-baked treats for afternoon tea. She knows her residents’ nutritional needs and what they love to eat, spending time getting their feedback, which shapes her menus. And every day, she creates ‘show plates’ so her residents, particularly those living with dementia who may struggle to choose, can see and smell the food, stimulating their appetite.

The gardens are magnificent, with a summer house, wheelchair-friendly pathways and a water feature. This summer the residents enjoyed growing their own vegetables, harvesting them to use in the kitchen, giving them such a sense of achievement.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1358 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My mother has only been a resident at Meadow View Residential Care Home since 30/09/16. Already she has been involved in activities and participated in card making and reminiscing over pictures of places she and my father used to frequently go. I feel it is important my mother takes part in the homes
daily activities as I believe it is helping her to settle in which has helped me to accept the situation.

Mum has been a resident since July 2016. It was a difficult time for all the family and Meadow View Residential Care Home helped enormously with the transition. We cannot fault the facilities or the staff who show great kindness and patience. We are very reassured Mum is in a safe and caring environment.

My Aunt moved to Meadow View, as one of their first residents, after her dementia meant she could no longer stay in her own home. Right from the very beginning, it was clear to see that the home manager and staff cared greatly for their residents. I visited on numerous occasions and always found my
Aunt well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The home is secure, well maintained and in a lovely setting. I was always kept up to date with all aspects of my Aunt's care and fully involved in all decision-making. Sadly my Aunt recently passed away, however, I will always be very grateful to all the staff for making her stay a happy, cared for and fulfilling one.

My mother was one of the first residents to move to Meadow View, as soon as it opened. The care she has received has been excellent and she was able to settle in quickly and happily. She has made friends with other ladies of a similar age and is very happy with the care she receives form the staff.
They are kind, considerate and make her feel valued and as contented as she can be, having lived in her own home all her life. The receptionist is a breath of fresh air and encourages the residents to participate in different activities.

Mum has been in Meadow view since April and the staff are very caring and the activity staff is excellent with her work and with the residents. No longer able to live alone, my mother moved into Meadow View where she was warmly welcomed. The staff were kind and friendly and quickly gained my mothers confidence. My mother quickly changed rooms at her request. While in the home she enjoyed some "treats" she had not enjoyed for a long time: A
bath rather than a shower; having her hair cut by a hairdresser; a visit from a chiropodist. I don't believe we could have found a nicer home.

We felt that the home and treatment of my husband was bordered between good and excellent, as the home was relatively new there were some teething issues which prevented an excellent rating. I would not hesitate to recommend Meadow View to anyone.

My mum moved into Meadow View recently. During what was a very stressful time for the family the staff were very helpful and couldn't have done more to help us with arrangements. I realise this is a brand new complex but never the less it is beautifully maintained, with excellent decor. It is so welcoming.
The family are now happy and confident that mum is being well cared for with dignity and kindness. This home should be blue print for all other homes.

Home always seems very friendly (staff) and always clean and tidy. Staff do seem to spend a lot of time with residents. There are lots of activities going on which mum seems to be joining in with and enjoying. Although mum hasn't been at the home very long, she does seem to have settled well. Home is
very secure with codes needed to get in and out. Overall we do not have any complaints.

My wife and I are impressed with the care that my father receives. My sister likes the house that our father is in. My father is not impressed with the fact that he cant have a lighter in his possession as to him being allowed to go out for a cigarette when he wants and also can't understand why he
has got a door to the garden in his room, which is all locked up and not able to get out to enjoy his new garden seat outside his room.

I am so pleased to hear you and your family are happy with our home and the care your father receives. We always support our residents to sit outside and will always open the doors leading out onto the gardens if they would like to do so, however as a home where many people are living with dementia we do need to ensure they are safe so don’t leave the doors unlocked. In terms of having lighters, we always support residents to go outside and smoke whenever they choose to but again, with so many residents living with dementia it is important that lighters are kept in a safe place. I do hope you understand that everything we do is for our residents’ safety and well-being but if you would like to discuss this any further please don’t hesitate to contact me.

My husband had a week of respite care in October. He enjoyed the experience. He said the care was wonderful and the food every bit as good as a top restaurant. My friend and I have both said there is nothing we have seen or heard that gives us any concern. We were treated with real friendliness
and total professionalism.


As a result my husband is going in full time in February. He is a very quiet very private man that I really wondered how he would adjust but he settled quickly in October and said that is where he wanted to go if he needed full time care.
Today we called in for an assessment and he was greeted so warmly it felt like coming home! He keeps saying how he felt so welcome.


The whole experience has been good in every way. I recommend this home to anyone without reservation. A huge pat on the back is richly deserved by the manager and all staff involved!

My husband, who suffers from Parkinson's and Vascular Dementia, spent 2 weeks respite at Meadow View. He had excellent care, and being always with me, did not seem to miss me at all in the 2 weeks. He does suffer from psoriasis if he is stressed and has patches of very discoloured skin which stemmed
from a previous break in a different home. Your carers treated the area, with the appropriate ointment and told me about it straight away even though I did not mention this particular area before. When he came back home I noticed an immense improvement of the skin and no outbreaks of psoriasis anywhere, so he was very happy there and so am I , his wife and carer.

I visited my granny with my 3 young sons. We were welcomed by staff and everyone there did their utmost to look after us - giving my sons games to play with and providing tea and cake to have with granny. The place was clean and granny had been very well taken care of with dignity and respect.
