The team at the Pavillion, many of whom have proudly worked at the home for over 10 years, provide residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be booked in advance.

The home has a warm, homely atmosphere, with a team dedicated to Sanctuary Care’s vision of Enriching Lives. This is based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

The team at Pavillion are passionate about supporting their residents to do the things they love, from music therapy, animal visits, gardening, trips into the community and coffee mornings, to gentle exercise sessions.

The residents had a ball when they celebrated the King’s Coronation – with live music, dancing and even a giant handmade London bus, lovingly made with the residents’ photographs displayed in the windows!

Pavillion has a hairdressing salon, for pampering sessions and weekly visits from a local mobile hairdresser.

The lounges and large gardens are lovely places to relax with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.

In the dining room, the chef serves delicious, home-cooked food, from cooked breakfasts if residents prefer, roast dinners with all the trimmings, to lighter bites. And every day there are home-baked sweets for afternoon tea.

The team are proud of the home’s Good CQC report (June 2022), with a Good in every single area. The report highlights how the residents are actively involved in the running of the Pavillion, how varied the activities are and how kind, caring and respectful the team are. The home has 68 tastefully decorated bedrooms, some with wet rooms and others with toilet and washing facilities. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms truly feel like home, with small pieces of furniture, etc.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

They care for my husband very well. Always washed and showered and always looks tidy in himself.
He even goes out to the seaside which he loved very much. He had his fish and chips. He is happy in himself.

The room very basic for brother-in-law and felt this would not encourage him to settle and want to stay.

There are not enough words, as a family, we can write or verbalise to thank Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home enough for their help, care and compassion over the last few weeks.
When other care providers have not fulfilled their duty of care, the manager and all staff have literally rescued us
as a family.
The care, professionalism and love they show our lovely dad is so heartfelt from everyone, what a wonderful home he now has.

I could not single out one member of staff above another.
Everyone was a star. Mom was cared for with love, respect and dignity at all times, which made leaving her in your care so much easier.

I could not praise the staff at Pavillion enough for the care they gave to my mam during her last few weeks.
They treated her with love, dignity, affection and compassion which in turn made saying goodbye to mam so much easier.
Not only did they look after mam but they were all there for me and my
family.

The attitude of the staff is excellent.
Quality of meals has deteriorated since I became a resident here. Sunday lunch is still fairly good, others not infrequently, just poor. The chips are still pretty dreadful as I have complained previously. Very poor by comparison with those from other outlets.
Probably due to a failure of management to provide equipment as used by other commercial outlets to skin potatoes, then to cut them into chips.

We have had a few issues in the past months but speaking about our concerns, they have improved loads. Need to make sure rooms are cleaned and ready for guests to visit first thing in the morning 90% of the time, no bed made and not cleaned.

Despite the rooms being cleaned early on, the beds have to be left to fully dry before being made due to infection control purposes. I can honestly say that my decision to place my wife into this establishment was the best decision I have made.
The way the staff treat my wife and keep the building is second to none. The staff are very friendly but professional and the cleanliness of the building is brilliant. My wife's room is spacious,
very clean and a joy to be in. With my wife being in this establishment, I am assured and sleep easier knowing that she is safe and being looked after by the best staff possible.

Since my granda came to the Pavillion in October 2015 I could not fault the care, love and attention both my granda and our family receive from the care staff, kitchen staff and even the cleaning staff. The all go above and beyond and deserve a medal for what they do.

When we initially visited The Pavillion we got a good feeling about it straight away. It was clean - no smell at all unlike previous homes we had looked at - we were shown around everything and the staff were friendly, knowledgable and interested in Dad and his likes and dislikes. He has settled in
well and in the last few months, he has seemed a lot happier than when he lived on his own. All the staff in the office and the home are wonderful. Cheerful and friendly, they always have time to help or speak to us about any concerns. There is plenty going on for residents and visitors to be involved in. It is lovely knowing someone is there 24/7 for Dad.
