The team at the Pavillion, many of whom have proudly worked at the home for over 10 years, provide residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be booked in advance.

The home has a warm, homely atmosphere, with a team dedicated to Sanctuary Care’s vision of Enriching Lives. This is based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

The team at Pavillion are passionate about supporting their residents to do the things they love, from music therapy, animal visits, gardening, trips into the community and coffee mornings, to gentle exercise sessions.

The residents had a ball when they celebrated the King’s Coronation – with live music, dancing and even a giant handmade London bus, lovingly made with the residents’ photographs displayed in the windows!

Pavillion has a hairdressing salon, for pampering sessions and weekly visits from a local mobile hairdresser.

The lounges and large gardens are lovely places to relax with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.

In the dining room, the chef serves delicious, home-cooked food, from cooked breakfasts if residents prefer, roast dinners with all the trimmings, to lighter bites. And every day there are home-baked sweets for afternoon tea.

The team are proud of the home’s Good CQC report (June 2022), with a Good in every single area. The report highlights how the residents are actively involved in the running of the Pavillion, how varied the activities are and how kind, caring and respectful the team are. Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1138 and for nursing care £1396, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Very friendly staff, very co-operative and always pleasant to talk to. Rooms are always spotless. I know I can call anytime and get an update on my father which puts my mind at ease, knowing he's getting the best care he needs. Very thankful for the care and being there for us.

All the staff, nurses and carers have been very helpful and informative. They have assisted with all our needs in this stressful time. My father seems to be very well looked after whilst in the home. His room and accommodation is excellent. Everyone deserves a big thank you during this very trying time

My mum was a resident for nearly 8 years and thought of it as her home, she was wheelchair-bound but could manage to get around the home quite easily. She was treated with dignity and respect from all the staff. Towards the end of her life (21st July 20) the care, attention, support and kindness she
was given was second to none. My brother and I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do, true dedication.

In unforeseen circumstances, due to covid-19, my father appears to be receiving excellent care from both care staff and nurses. Although the home has been on lockdown for several weeks, and I have only been able to speak to Dad on the phone, he sounds very well. I am also delighted that I have been
informed that my dad has not contracted the virus, and the home is also covid free. Well done to you all!

Very happy with the way my mother has been cared for. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Although my mother can't speak to you, I can see she is very content in the home and I am happy with her overall care. The only negative would be I feel family members should be given a code to let themselves
in and out as there has been several times we have had to wait for this.

The Pavillion is very well run and it has a pleasant, clean, tidy and welcoming environment. The staff are superb - they are so hard-working, helpful, caring, cheerful and efficient and they have their resident's comfort, security and needs as their main priority. On behalf of my two brothers and myself
we cannot praise and thank the staff enough for all the help, care and dedication they have given to our mother (and indeed all the residents) in the last year since she moved in last year (June 2019). This includes all the trials and tribulations of the past three months Covid-19 lock-down, which to date has been so professionally and successfully handled. Mam is healthy, happy and well in her residential home. There are a wide range of activities on offer to occupy the residents. I am well impressed and I totally endorse and recommend The Pavillion Residential and Nursing Home.

My mam has had to go into the Pavillion temporarily after having a stroke, and whilst we have an extension built on the house for her, the home came on recommendation from a friend. Whilst the home is currently on lockdown due to Covid-19, the staff and the care Mam has received so far has been excellent.
They are helping her every day with the exercises, and I have seen great improvement in her. The staff always have her best wishes at heart and make sure she is in the best of her health whilst in their care.

From the moment we entered the building until we left, we felt that we had entered a large happy family home. All of the staff were very amenable, helpful and attentive. The Pavilion care home is very caring and helpful. Since my dad came here from another home, where he was like a skeleton and on death's door. Since he has come in it has changed his life. Only low point is he is tied to a chair.

I always found the atmosphere friendly and welcome.
My other relatives who visit the home say the same.
The staff are very approachable and my dad always seems to be content when we have been (compared to when he lived in his own home, where a lot of the time he wasn't which was so unlike him). There
are plenty of activities and although my dad often prefers to be in his room, if it wasn't for his illness, I'm sure he would join in.

We were to carry out our monthly service (Church). We were pleasantly accepted into the building and shown to the lounge where the service was to be held.
We saw that the room was comfortable and adequate.
Residents were already seated.
We had a lovely service and the residents seemed to enjoy it.

We visit the home to conduct a church service monthly. Some residents with their carers visit our coffee morning most weeks on a Tuesday.
They have all become our friends and we look forward to seeing them at our church as well as at the monthly church service in the care home.
