The team at the Pavillion, many of whom have proudly worked at the home for over 10 years, provide residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, which can be booked in advance.

The home has a warm, homely atmosphere, with a team dedicated to Sanctuary Care’s vision of Enriching Lives. This is based on the six senses people need to feel truly happy and fulfilled – a sense of achievement, belonging, continuity, purpose, security and significance.

The team at Pavillion are passionate about supporting their residents to do the things they love, from music therapy, animal visits, gardening, trips into the community and coffee mornings, to gentle exercise sessions.

The residents had a ball when they celebrated the King’s Coronation – with live music, dancing and even a giant handmade London bus, lovingly made with the residents’ photographs displayed in the windows!

Pavillion has a hairdressing salon, for pampering sessions and weekly visits from a local mobile hairdresser.

The lounges and large gardens are lovely places to relax with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.

In the dining room, the chef serves delicious, home-cooked food, from cooked breakfasts if residents prefer, roast dinners with all the trimmings, to lighter bites. And every day there are home-baked sweets for afternoon tea.

The team are proud of the home’s Good CQC report (June 2022), with a Good in every single area. The report highlights how the residents are actively involved in the running of the Pavillion, how varied the activities are and how kind, caring and respectful the team are. The home has 68 tastefully decorated bedrooms, some with wet rooms and others with toilet and washing facilities. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms truly feel like home, with small pieces of furniture, etc.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1138 and for nursing care £1396, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My mother was recently moved to Pavillion Nursing Home after a series of traumatic and distressing events at her previous care facility. From the initial unannounced visit to see if Pavillion could meet my mother's needs, we were exceptionally impressed with the level of service offered. The Pavillion
is well-managed with well-qualified, compassionate staff who are now providing my mother with the holistic care she deserves. We honestly can't thank or praise the staff at Pavillion enough for their expertise in looking after Mum. Knowing she is safe and receiving first-class care gives me confidence we made the right decision moving her to Pavillion.

I stayed a couple of nights respite and found it comfortable and all my needs were being met. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was a relaxed and easy visit. The only negative would be the lack of internet and phone signal, could not speak to family or use the internet at all which is a
shame in this day and age. However a really comfortable stay and will be back for another stay. Thanks again to all the staff.

I am just writing to post a fabulous review for the staff and facilities of the Pavillion Care Home. I was lucky enough to get a bed for my mam on the 1st of September last year, knowing that she would eventually need nursing and palliative care. My mam unfortunately passed away on Sunday after a long
battle with physical, ill health and dementia. Her care at the Pavilion has been second to none. The friendliness, humanity, care and compassion from all the staff has been wonderful and much appreciated. I cannot rate the Pavillion high enough and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone needing a clean, friendly and welcoming home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for my mam! I cannot thank you enough!

My husband was admitted to the care home in March 2023, the care has been excellent and the staff are fantastic.
I would definitely recommend, it gives me peace of mind to know he is being so well looked after that we are free to visit whenever we wish.

The team at Pavillion provided excellent respite care for my 'active but frail' 100-year-old mother.
As this was our first use of such services we all had anxieties, but we need not have worried. Everything worked as planned, and Mum enjoyed her weeks holiday. She returned to our care in an excellent
state (mentally and physically) and had thoroughly enjoyed her stay - praising the friendliness of the staff. Thanks to everyone - will certainly use again.
As this was respite the room was obviously not used permanently. Could have done with a lick of paint in bathroom.

My dad came to the Pavillion in June from hospital. He has settled in a lot better than I had hoped and this is due to the wonderful way my dad has been treated, which is with the utmost respect and dignity, together with the absolutely outstanding quality of care he has been given. He is now eating
regularly, this is due to the exceptional quality of the food which is available to him. He is now enjoying his drinks plus his snacks. All the staff and I mean all the staff are amazing and dedicated to their roles, they are friendly and welcoming. They make you feel that nothing is too much trouble. I feel that they genuinely want the best for my dad, which warms my heart. I was initially concerned about my dad going into a nursing home because I felt that I had let him down as I was unable to provide him with the 24-hour care he deserved, but I can see that he is content, happy and getting stronger. His smiles have returned, as has his humour, which I thought I had lost forever. This is all due to him being in the best nursing home I could ever have imagined. Thank you.

Mam has been in the Pavillion since December 21st 2023. At first, she was unsure because she was very independent and for the first week she kept packing her clothes up every day. She's settled in now and the staff are lovely and she's put on weight.

Managers and all staff have been unfailingly professional and caring. They have given priority to my wife's dignity at all times. My wife is very settled in her environment at Pavillion and no longer has the compulsion to search for her (long deceased) parents, which led to serious accidents when she

All the staff are very friendly and seem to care about the residents even though sometimes the resident's behaviour can be challenging at times. They tell you whatever is going on with your relative. The only complaint is some things go missing at times (clothes), even with names on, but this seems
to be a common theme in care homes.

Mum has not been very well during this month. The staff have been so respectful of her wishes and treated her with dignity and love. Unfortunately, Mum's condition deteriorated and she sadly she passed away on the 25th of June. The staff were with her throughout this time to comfort and reassure her.
I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for Mum. The Pavillion is a superb care home. Thank you.

End of life. Last four weeks Mother becoming less and less mobile but still sharp witted. Had a fall taken to hospital. Discharged back to Pavillion, at all times the staff were very helpful and caring.
Mother passed away with the carer present she had dignity, respect, kindness and love.
