The last thing I ever wanted to do was place mum into a care home but her 24/7 needs left no option. I visited several and the staff at Manor Park were lovely and seemed to understand my concerns and expectations. It's been almost a year now. Mum left hospital, frail, underweight and with horrendous
bed sores due to hospital neglect.
The care and attention mum has received has turned her health around significantly. Sadly her dementia cannot be cured but she is now able to join other residents in the communal areas, for socialising, meals or attending shows and events on the weekly programme. The staff are lovely, they show genuine care and compassion. Management are visible and often hands on. Facilities are good. I'm a frequent visitor and I see staff interacting with other residents. I know I can leave the home happy that mum is cared for. She is happy there, she often thinks she is staying in a hotel and praises it herself. I can sit with her and it always feels calm and homely.

I find the home very welcoming and accommodating in all respects. The staff are very friendly and make dad feel supported and loved. He cannot praise the staff enough. The home is warm and clean and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Although dad would love to be in his own home he realises
that is not now possible and constantly tells us he couldn't be in a better place. Says it all really.

My Mum is a resident at the home, she was in a poor state of health when she came to the home, she has been nursed back to as good as she can be considering her age and condition. There are plenty of activities to entertain and stimulate, and being able to see these on social media is encouraging
and reassuring to our family, the staff are great at all levels and any questions, concerns are dealt with in a sympathetic and professional manner, I really do feel that she is in the right place, they reinforce the word"care" in care home

My wife worked in a care home run by this local council for many years, which was excellent, but had to retire early through ill health. She was frightened to go into a privately run care home as she had heard many stories of poor care provided by those homes; however, having come to Manor Croft
Care Home, she found this home is excellent in every respect and her health has improved drastically.

We had to find out mum a new home after an accident in her previous home and a stay in hospital.
End of life and palative care .
Manor Croft gave us support as well as offering a bed and care required. We arrived with out appointment was shown around the facilities. Every member of staff said
hello and smiled even the chef who makes delicious meals. Interaction with our family and friends have been second to none and finally gave us the safety and care mum deserves and allowed me to sleep knowing mum is settled.
Thank you.

My wife has been at Manor Croft for five and half years and during this time she has been nursed and looked after to the highest of standards.
This was shown last September on her 83rd birthday it just so happened that Manor Croft was having an entertainment afternoon, a singer had been booked and
we were invited join him along with other members and guests.
There, celebrating her Birthday were her husband ie me, her two children and members of their families.
For an 83rd birthday party it step back in time to the style parties our children had. There were lots of songs and excellent food.
It was just what I expected from the years I been visiting Manor Croft

My mum was admitted on Christmas Eve from hospital.
Prior to mum coming to Manorcroft we, the family, were invited to visit the home and view Mum's room, which is a lovely room, quiet, clean and comfortable.
This was extremely important to us and appreciated by the family as it gave us piece of
mind before Mum's arrival.
Since Mum's arrival she has received what I can only describe as the very best of care, she is looked after by the staff as if she were their mother.
The staff are extremely supportive and ever so considerate towards Mum and our family.
I noticed that the staff are always happy and focused on the wellbeing of every one of their patients.
I visit most days and each time the staff welcome me and I smile when I see how they engage with the patients whether it be a singalong or a game of dominoes.
Nothing ever seems too much trouble in what I perceive as a very demanding job.
So much admiration for Moorcroft Care Home and everyone working there.

My mother has been a resident for 12 months in Manor Croft now. Since she came in she has had wonderful care and even at the age of 101 looks really well, much better than when she first came in. The staff are very kind and attend to her needs with great care and a sense of humour as she can be
quite difficult at times. I never wanted her to go into a care home but am very happy she's in this care home.

All the Staff (each and every one of them) are caring, loving and thoughtful. They made me feel as though I was part of their family. I looked upon them as my friends and still do.
I didn't feel as though I was going to see Mum in a care home, I felt as though I was seeing her in her own
bedroom.
Many thanks.

I have found this home when visiting my cousin to be very clean and welcoming. Her room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. Some entertainment at times. Needs more permanent staff but that is a problem all over the country.

When my friend's mum was accepted at Manor Croft I felt welcomed. Overall I am very impressed with the standards at Manor Croft. I have supported my friend whilst her Mum needed care. My own Mum is also needing care, she's currently in a different care home. If the day comes when my mum needs
nursing care, I will push for Manor Croft. Also I will in the meantime recommend Manor Croft.

So I want to thank wonderful kind staff for the last week of my father's life. they showed understanding when I felt quite at a loss. His room pleasant, homely touches, I had just supplied photos but he passed away.
He may not have understood much.
I did.

After many months in hospital, my dad moved to Manorcroft on his 88th birthday. The staff baked a cake, sang happy birthday and trimmed his room as a lovely welcome to his new home. Thank you to the Manager, Deputy Manager, Activity staff and all other staff for your care, understanding and
compassion towards my father and the family during our difficult time. Contact was mainly via telephone and video calls to Dad during his short stay and via these calls, we were also able to get to know the lovely staff at Manorcroft. Activity workers would update me about planned activities such as an armchair flight to Italy, Halloween, coffee mornings and how Dad was encouraged to join in and enjoy these get-togethers. You are all doing a wonderful job in these difficult times, thank you again.
13 October 2020
The hardest decision a family can make is to entrust the care of their loved ones to a third party. I can honestly say from the moment my mother was admitted to the day she parted care we did not for one moment regret our choice of care provider. The staff became not only carers but friends to Mum
and ourselves. The care she received at Manorcroft was simply exemplary and the difficulties experienced during the Covid outbreak were dealt with not just swiftly but also extremely thoroughly. A hard time for all involved and we really appreciate the sacrifices made by staff and management to ensure residents were protected and stimulated during the lockdown periods. A big heartfelt thank you to the manager and her wonderful team for the love and care given to Mum. True heroes to us.
