View Full Details of Ponteland ManorWe were worried about placing mum in a care home but after visiting there was no need to worry. Nothing was out of bounds, hidden and no questions unanswered. The level of care my mum received at Ponteland Manor was exceptional. C The hard work your team does is so evident and shows with their interactions with residents and colleagues alike. My mum also said on numerous occasions how grateful she was to everyone. I can't thank everyone enough for everything when the end came. You were all absolutely amazing.
Ponteland Manor is an extremely caring, friendly, and well run home. The activities are led by a very creative and enthusiastic team, however their ambitions are sometimes limited by the facilities, such is the success of the events they arrange. Wheelchairs do take up a lot of space!! However the manor provides a very valuable, welcoming and happy experience for my family and myself at this time in our lives, and I am so grateful.
My Mum has been a resident of Ponteland Manor for over 5 years & she is thoroughly happy there. The relief of knowing my Mum is completely safe & so well looked after in my absence is priceless. The staff are all lovely & nothing is too much trouble. There's a really comfortable & friendly feeling around the home which makes residents & relatives feel very welcome. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Mam has been a resident of Ponteland Manor for 6 month, the care she receives is fantastic, all the staff are very professional and experienced. I live over 200 mile away and unfortunately can only get up to visit mam every 6-8 weeks, however, I call every morning to see how she is, and always speak to a senior member of staff which is very reassuring. I check in on Facebook every evening and it is great to see photos & videos of mam getting involved in the varied and well organised activities & games (she still loves her bingo). I highly recommend Ponteland Manor, it has an extremely friendly atmosphere with first rate carers & nursing staff.
Wanting a short spell of respite care, along with family members we checked several local care homes by reading their brochure or visiting. Having chosen Ponteland Manor. The first thing to impress me was not only by the end of my first day, the staff all knew my name but also had a good idea of my likes and dislikes. Senior staff were out and about daily, very very approachable, problems were quickly resolved. The fact that after my period of respite care and having seen Ponteland Manor from the inside I converted to resident care is a strong indication of my happyness to be living here.
I have been very happy as a resident of Ponteland Manor. The staff are wonderful and caring. We have such a wide variety of activities to join in every day, you cannot feel lonely. The manager is full of life. The food is fantastic with loads of choice served in a beautiful dining room.
Myself and my family are delighted with the care my mother is receiving at this care home. She is happy, well cared for and supported in all her needs. She joins in almost all activities and is therefore stimulated. Clinical staff are attentive and ensure that all issues are dealt with promptly and discussed with me immediately. I highly recommend this place. The manager and key staff are a delight.
Friendly, happy and caring staff. The home is very comfortable bright and cheery. Great entertainment and the staff try every way possible to get my husband involved! My husband has taken time to settle in but he now feels a lot happier and comfortable with the surroundings.
Mam has been a resident at Ponteland Manor since Oct 24. She settled well being made very welcome by Manager, all the staff & residents. Just after her move she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The staff have all been fantastic with not only Mam but also the family, coming to terms with and understanding the illness. They have shown such patience and empathy at all times, even when mams illness has proved to be very challenging and difficult., The care staff look after residents as if they were family, it is so reassuring to know your loved ones is being cared for and looked after by a team who truly care. The activities team are also brilliant, they take the time to get to know each resident individually and also their capabilities, encouraging them daily to take part and participate in their extensive daily program. There is a lovely atmosphere, and everyone including senior staff (who are all lovely) make time to chat/update/reassure you when visiting.
My mam has been living at Ponteland Manor for 3 years now & I am happy with the care she receives,it's the little touches that make such a difference , staff making time to stop for a chat or showing an interest in her craftwork. The links to the community are great , even I enjoy the group trips to the social club where it's nice to meet Mam's friends & have a coffee with them.Because of reduced mobility it's great that mam has access to a brilliant hairdresser & podiatrist.
Very happy with the care provided for my mother. Staff are attentive and caring. Rooms bright and facilities welcoming. Good food, standard of care and excellent range of activities. Would highly recommend.
Always welcoming and friendly at Ponteland Manor. Staff work hard and are very informative and helpful. One member of staff always makes time to discuss Grandfather's updates while also running and managing a fantastic care home.
My mum has been a resident at Ponteland Manor since September 2022. We are absolutely delighted with the outstanding care she receives. The staff are all so very kind, caring, compassionate and respectful. They treat Mum with great dignity and they really do care about her. They are all so professional and I feel totally confident in her management. Her room is beautiful and she is very happy and comfortable. There are so many wonderful activities that she can join in with and there is always something interesting happening. The home is so well managed and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
It means the absolute world to know that our family member is so well cared for - the staff are genuinely all so wonderful and really go the extra mile. Ponteland Manor is always absolutely spotless and so well maintained - there's a really lovely atmosphere there which makes visiting a real joy.
My mother is a long-serving resident. Over the years her care has been consistently good with real care being shown to her. The home communicates clearly and promptly and are very open about my mother's situation.
The home is a clean pleasant environment and the residents appear well cared for and content. Individual tooms are attractive and well presented allowing residents to have personal items which provide a link with their home. Activities take place in communal areas so that a sense of purpose exists, and life is interesting. More important however is that there is excellent staff who display kindness, friendliness and efficiency. The residents despite their varied conditions seem to be making the most of their remaining years. The carers are unfailingly cheerful and helpful. The manager is efficient, hardworking, approachable and thoughtful. Full marks!
I would like to thank the staff at Ponteland Manor for the exemplary care they gave to my stepfather. He was there for five weeks of respite, during which time his behaviour became increasingly challenging. This was managed with extreme compassion and sensitivity by all members of staff and regular, open and honest communication was maintained with the family. Difficult decisions were required regarding his future care, but the manager and her team were invaluable in assisting with the process and supporting me and my mother. There is a friendly and welcoming feel to the home and the commitment and dedication of the staff is evident everywhere. Thank you!
Outstanding care for my mother. Fantastic range of daily activities. Great range of tasty food. Very caring committed staff. All medical needs met. Inviting and welcoming environment. Supportive and pro-active management, especially the manager.
My mother has been a resident for about 18 months now. She has become frailer during that time and now prefers to stay in bed. The staff have ensured that she has an appropriate mattress to ensure she is comfortable and negate the risk of bedsores. She has difficulty eating due to the tremors she suffers from but does not yet wish to be fed. Staff cut her food up for her but sometimes it is in too large chunks and drier meals are difficult for her, sauces help to make it easier for her to eat things. In general, staff are very good, as with any organisation some are even better than others at spotting things that are helpful, for example putting her hearing aids in the morning. Overall, we are very pleased with the care she receives.
I couldn’t rate Ponteland Manor highly enough. The level of care and consideration shown is second to none and the staff and wonderful with all of the residents. It means the world to know our loved one is so well looked after.
