I've visited my father numerous times during the day and evening. The staff have all been friendly and chatty. Whenever we've needed support for Dad they've been there for him. He has regular checks, his room is cleaned regularly. Staff engage with him and treat him with respect. Management are
friendly and willing to listen and act upon any given feedback. My only negative is his food can be cold when delivered, unsure how this can be changed as the kitchen is downstairs. I can see improvements in the home everytime I visit. I'm happy Dad is in the right home, it gives me peace of mind. Food is plenty and choice good, just needs to be hotter if hot food. I've marked satisfactory for food and drink - this is due to hot food getting delivered cold. I think Dad has plenty of choice everyday and snacks plus his favourite biscuits.
I think its excellent how the wing Dad is on is taking into account his needs like the busy boards and re-decorating. Its a work in progress and a step in the right direction.
Staff and management really listen to feedback and act upon it so thank you from me.

In discussion with a nurse regarding the use of morphine as daughter's father is prescribed both morphine and an inhaler (COPD) the nurse was insistent that morphine WAS NOT FOR PAIN RELIEF but for his breathing. This she persisted with until I presented to her the NHS definition and was using the
NHS app PAIN RELIEF. This discussion/debate should never happened yet it suggests a deficit in the medicinal knowledge this nurse has at it's most basic. Also, the resident care was discussed openly without ascertaining who I was, or why I was present - confidentiality?

My wife was a patient in Greenacres for nearly 3 years. I visited everyday and was always happy with the care and attention received by the staff. The food is good and is catered for all different dietary requirements. Well recommended.

Choosing a Care Home for a loved one is one of the hardest jobs, then to trust the Home & Staff with your expectations can be daunting but through the 3 years of My Uncle living here, it was the best choice we made.
Every care facility has hiccups, when addressed things did alter, patience &
understanding is required from all.
From Care Staff, Kitchen & Laundry Staff, they all did a fab job for My Uncle & he settled so well & I know he loved it there.
Full support from when My Uncle was in his final days, he passed very peacefully & I wouldn't have let him pass anywhere else except his Home - Green Acres.

My late mothers partner was a resident for almost 2 years. He was very well looked after. He was always dressed and out of bed, up until his last few days. His meals were well prepared and delivered regularly, and he was often helped to eat when required. The facilities were clean and tidy and the
staff were very friendly and helpful, which I saw at first hand even tho they did not know when I would be visiting. I was always kept up to date with his medical needs.

My friend has been well looked after. Her carers are professional, efficient, kind and caring. If there have been any issues regarding her care, staff have been diligent in informing us and resolving them.

Most care given to residents is good. They go above and beyond. Although, some of the staff are questionable on whether they want to be there and care for residents.

I would like to thank the care staff and management of Green Acres Nursing Home for their kind and sensitive care of my uncle, he is a quiet and reserved man and the family were unsure how he would react to his new surroundings. I can however say that due, in no small part, to the kindness shown and
attention to his needs that he is happy and settled.
I would also add that when I have asked about my uncle's health, problems, needs or other issues I have raised, staff were on hand to help or advise.

You always communicated with us when my dad went to hospital or an appointment but on my dad's final days you kept him as comfortable as possible. My dad was a charmer to all the staff and nurses and you were all great to him and I and my family really appreciated you looking after him. We thank you
so much and it was great for you to see him off when we came down in the hearse.
You should all be proud of your job and what you do and you all should be recognised by NHS as well through the Covid war.

My dad was a resident here, I just want to thank the staff that were involved in looking after him. In his final journey with the home, the staff were absolutely kind etc. The carer and kitchen staff, all staff should be recognised in care homes, because they all take a major role in all residents'
lives.

Having to pick a care home during lockdown was so traumatic, but the manager and staff helped me answer all my questions and elevate my fears. All staff are welcoming and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The care provided to my mother was amazing and
above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend Green Acres to anybody needing nursing care.

The team have always been so helpful and very patient given the current circumstances is more important than ever. Mother has done so well after leaving the hospital and arriving. The care has given so much confidence that our decision for mother was absolutely the right one.

Dad has been in Green Acres for 18-months and has had three care home managers; changes have been made but more can be done. More communication is needed between the care home and the resident's family, this is inconsistent, getting through to the care home is an issue even when avoiding busy times.
This is so important with covid restrictions. More could be done in the garden for residents and their families; involving residents if possible/able. More activities to suit residents' capabilities, stimulation is key for dementia residents.
