Very caring staff. Everyone is brilliant with residents. Home is always clean and tidy.
The care has been very good very kind and understanding nothing is too much trouble moving from room to room has been seamless. My wive has been moved twice now.
My relative has an exceptional experience with this care home. The staff, management, food, events and overall atmosphere is so energetic and happy. The carers were polite and humble and the rooms were clean, hygienic and airy.
My experience of all the care the staff gave to my relative in room 61 has been exceptional and I have always felt that they kept him safe and very well protected. Anything my relative needed he got and all his needs were met. Marlborough Court is a lovely place for anyone to stay and be cared for. I would recommend this home to anyone.
Although we've had no choice in the placement of my mother for her temporary 'assessment/ respite' period, we're relieved at our first impressions of Marlborough Court. Reception was a cheery sight with Easter bits n' bobs! As my mother's first 'care home' experience - she's settling well. Although her room decor is 'tired' - her view into the gardens is calming, as she's bed-bound. The whole home was clean and airy, with a calm, friendly feeling. All the staff members we interacted with were welcoming, helpful, accommodating and professional. They presented as a happy, well-oiled team, who enjoyed their work and treated their residents with respect and kindness. So we're confident my mother's in good, caring hands. We enjoyed lunch together in her room, which was tasty, with good portions - including Easter cup cakes! The musical entertainment we could hear - even had us all singing along!
My husband came to Marlborough Care Home in November. He was very frail and had complex issues with his health. He was greeted with kindness and compassion by all the staff. Also they were wonderful to myself which helped me a lot at the time of great sadness. He was a man of great courage, very funny. He lit up a room when he entered it. R.I.P my love x
My nan was admitted to the care home yesterday and she had such a warm welcome. she was greeted with a much needed cup of tea and cake The staff all introduced themselves and made us feel welcome during a time which was of course quite stressful for a lady with dementia. Day 1 and I can already see a positive change in my nan.
Mum was there for 8 months following a diagnosis of dementia. She had been bed ridden at home for 2.5 years before this, with carer visits 4 times daily. At the home she received 24 hour care from carers and nurses. This made her calmer and happier for the last few months of her life, which her family really loved. The home really understood her culinary needs and catered really well as she also had throat cancer and could only eat mashed up food. Staff were always friendly and helpful with any enquiries or problems we had.
I want to thank the carers on the top floor they went above all expectations for my dad he was 81 today. They decorated the room for him with balloons and happy birthday banner behind his bed. I can't thank them enough, well done.
Really impressed with Marlborough Court Care Home, not only is the place a very lovely building, with lovely grounds, garden, and car park. The Marlborough staff are an amazing, hard-working team who really seem to show amazing empathy and care to its residents, including my Father. My Father also holds the staff in high regard, he says the nurses and staff are all so kind and caring and always checking to see if my Father is ok. Truly grateful.
My dear friend is a resident at Marlborough Court where I encountered one of the nurses. I find him very helpful and informative, nothing is too much trouble. My friend can be difficult but he understands. Thank you.
Unfortunately, my dad was only with you for 5 days before being taken to hospital and sadly he didn't recover to come back. However, in that time he was treated with care, dignity and respect and I thank the staff warmly for all of their help. Special thanks to the staff for their help and support. Thank you.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice location and garden, with views of the river. Food looks and smells good and reasonable size portions. Some rooms need a bit of TLC, but they are clean and well-kept. I have been offered both drinks and a meal while visiting, which is really nice. We get the occasional call with updates or questions, which again is really nice.
Bed sheets messy with faeces. The staff was very nice from what we saw. Short time there so can't comment on food etc as not seen. Maybe little music in the background in the room where guests and those staying there can sit, know from my friend he likes music, we found him sitting there with zero to do, see or listen to.
From a phone call the previous day everyone was friendly. We arrived to a smile and a very helpful member of staff, she showed us where our friend was and then went to get another chair. All settled she then asked if the resident would like a cuppa followed by asking us, in came not only a cuppa but a little packet of biscuits each we were very grateful as we had had a one and half hour bus ride. We were there over lunchtime so asking our friend if she wanted unfortunately she didn't want any but we were then asked if we would like a sandwich, we declined but were grateful to be asked. We only spent a little while with our friend as she obviously very tied and just kept dropping off to sleep, so when leaving again we saw cleaners laundry staff and again all with a smile.
No issues or concerns, happy with the care.
Since I have been here my care and the carers have been wonderful, with exceptions. The carers have been so lovely, and cheerful, listened to my problems, through my tears and have made me laugh and made me feel important and that I matter. They have looked after me so very well and I truly appreciate all the love and care afforded to me.
The staff here are very good, pleasant and understanding. They do a good job and my dad is in good hands. They're very nice to me and we have excellent communication and have a laugh too. All the staff here are a credit for what they do and I appreciate their help.
My mum has received amazing care from the staff here. I know from experience can be quite a difficult lady to deal with and at this time she has entered her final days, I can't compliment the staff enough they have such a difficult thankless job to do. My mum has been well looked after and she is really taken with two particular staff members, thank you so much for caring for her in her final days.
