I would like to say that mum is looked after, the only thing that really upsets me is her clothes, all her clothes had her name and room number on, but again when I looked on Saturday, again there were clothes that were not hers, and a pile of unironed clothes chucked in the bottom of the wardrobe....

Also mum kept licking her lips, there was no drink in her room. So my daughter went down to the dining area to get some juice, which mum drank so quickly. The staff were just sitting all looking at their phones, then one did come in with a jug of juice, this to me was bad, as mum cannot get out of bed and get herself a drink.

The care and attention my Mum is receiving is marvellous. Mum is going through a difficult time at the moment, having been hospitalised again, which results in significant confusion for her and the staff are working with us to support her through this. We liaise closely and nothing is too much trouble. Their support for us as a family is also wonderful, there is immediate recognition that this is a difficult time for family too and we don't feel that we are on this journey in isolation. We are greeted with so many welcoming smiley faces at each visit and it is clear that the staff are a cohesive and mutually supportive team which really does make for a close knit community. Everywhere is clean and tidy, and there is an air of calm and openess about the home. Mum recently celebrated her birthday, her room was decorated and staff were popping in and out to wish her a Happy Birthday! Security is excellent, all doors that lead to outside have separate codes, giving complete peace of mind.

She needed a blood test done. The GP wrote an urgent request for this to be done, but it was a 2 day delay before it was done.
Mum was in Marlborough Court for 18 months and was very well looked after with care, compassion and respect. Us, the family, can't thank ALL the staff enough, everyone was friendly helpful and informative just like an extended family. nothing was too much trouble.

On Wednesday, 27th May, I was helped to the ambulance by nursing home staff. She was very helpful and attentive. She helped me up the stairs and carried my handbag. She was very cheerful and aware of my every need. I couldn't have asked for more.

This place is amazing, made my mum's last year very happy, absolutely amazing staff, always welcoming and keeps you informed. CC was very happy. Cases for every knee and always had GPs on hand whenever required.

Maribel joined Marlborough Court as Home Manager in June 2024, bringing with her more than 20 years of nursing and healthcare experience. She has been a Registered Nurse in the UK since 2002 and was first licensed as a nurse in the Philippines in 1994. She also holds a Level 4 qualification in Leadership and Management.
Maribel is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming environment where residents feel respected, valued and supported to maintain their independence. She enjoys leading and developing her team, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to deliver outstanding care. For Maribel, seeing residents thrive and knowing the team is working together to provide high-quality support is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role.
Outside of work, Maribel enjoys spending time with family and friends, going for walks, staying active, and reading about health, wellbeing and leadership.
