Amy Woodgate House

from C C (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 16 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Amy woodgate staff went above and beyond to help us get my Nan some respite care and she has been able to remain safe and settled since she has been there. The home is very clean and the staff are very friendly my Nan is fortunate to already have a close connection to another resident and the staff
always ensure they are together which really helps my Nan settle and remain happy! My nan regularly says how delicious the food is and how kind the people are to her which is great to hear! My children visit regularly with me and the home is always brilliantly decorated for Halloween and Christmas and special events which is lovely to see , We will be forever grateful for their help and kindness and I can't recommend the home enough it's such a lovely place.
Reply from Kristina Jackunskien, Home Manager at Amy Woodgate HouseThank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to care for your Nan and ensure she is safe, happy, and settled. Warm wishes, Kristina

Sadly, my brother developed Alzheimer's in 2021 & he was fortunate enough to be taken to Lynwood Care Centre & I have such experience of this illness and the challenges it presents & I live in Portugal and visit as often as possible & I can honestly say that I have never seen such a high level of care
and compassion & my brother is respected and kept clean and as active as possible. The food is excellent. The team go over and above and my brother is kept occupied. Thank you sincerely

So great to have a bit of Christmas market there! The renovations are looking really good. The food was perfect. My only concern was that the room needed hoovering. I appreciate that all the works going on there could be the cause.

The care and consideration from the moment you entered till you left was exceptional. The staff so considerate for patients and visitors at all times. Lesson look for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble and patients responded! Would recommend you to anyone. And thank you for providing such wonderful

The staff and management have been excellent in my dad's 6 weeks tenure. It felt as though they were all caring for both him and the rest of us as a family as we watched him for his last 6 weeks. Thank you so much. There are names I would like to mention but obviously won't here. My only complaint would
be the lack of a decent sized lift - Dad has to be put in a wheelchair to be got upstairs, that was 2 days before he passed. Keep up the great care.
Reply from Hazel Joseph, Manager at St Mary's Court Care HomeThank you for sharing your experience. I am happy my team could support your dad and family during his time with us. Your kind words mean a lot. Warm wishes, Hazel

The staff that work with mum are kind and patient and dedicated to there clients . Myself and all the family have peace of mind knowing mums being well looked after
. I highly recommend St David's care home, from reception to management they have all gone over and above and are always available a very well run home .

Always helpful and kind staff, nothing is ever too much trouble.
As I'm disabled the staff kindly take me to and from my husband's room.
Food looks good, I'm always offered a cup of tea, carers respond quickly, efficiently and politely when we ring the call bell.

My father has been living at Kingston Care Home for just over a year and I could not be happier with the care he receives there. The manager and all the staff are exceptional. They are warm, professional and truly care for the residents. There are interesting and varied daily activities, from music,
quizzes, trips out, films, craft etc. My father has dementia but he is never spoken down to; he is treated with respect, kindness and dignity, and included in as many of the activities as he can safely participate in. He is very content there.

I'll be forever grateful for my father to spend his last weeks at Marlborough Court. The level of care and kindness of the staff is outstanding. The food is excellent and there are lots of activities for the resident's to enjoy. But even the facilities are good. Marlborough Court's greatest asset is
its staff. Thank you.

I came here in mid September for nursing and rehab after six months stay In the hospital.
I found the care and service somewhat lacking. However, after discussions with the carers and the management we are at the required level.
Currently I am satisfied with the care and services provided, although
there is room for improvement and discussions are ongoing and there is cooperation from the management, both, executive and middle levels. Middle managers are mainly very helpful and competent..

My mum is having respite care as her dementia has declined, I couldn't ask for a nicer place for her to be. It's clean, the food is lovely and all the staff are very friendly and interact with all the residents. Mum has settled as well as can be expected and all her needs are catered for. I have to
mention the management as they went above and beyond to get my family the break we all so desperately needed.

Our family cannot praise Hatfield Nursing Home and Nicol highly enough for the incredible support they have given my mum since she moved in. She was recently taken into care due to dementia, and from the very first day the staff have shown genuine compassion, patience and understanding. They take the
time to get to know her as a person, not just as a resident, and their kindness has brought real comfort to both her and us as a family. The home is always clean, calm and welcoming, and we feel reassured knowing she is safe, well looked after and treated with dignity. We are truly grateful for the outstanding care she receives every day.

I always find everybody to be very kind and helpful. They look after my brother very well and take care of him in a kind and friendly way.

He seems to get along with the staff and enjoy their company.

When I visit they are always very helpful and knowledgeable about his condition.i am very happy

to leave him in their care.

They are happy to take any suggestions I make and take them on board.

I can't think of suggestions that I could make for any improvements to the care my brother receives.
