Mum has been a resident for 6 months now.
She is treated with a lot of kindness and respect by all staff and she feels safe and secure in Kingston Care Home. She enjoys the meals and the chef has thoughtfully accommodated her dietary needs. The dining room is set out in the style of a restaurant and
staff are attentive.
The care staff are really kind and attentive and they wash her carefully and thoroughly, applying skin creams regularly. They are respectful of mum's dignity. She likes them a lot.
The laundry and cleaning staff are friendly and work with quiet efficiency. This pleases mum.
There is a good selection of activities provided by the activity coordinators. Mum likes the chair exercises. They speak to her one to one as well. She is encouraged to participate but not forced.
The nurses are invaluable in supporting mum and I can call them at any time.
The team is well trained and very kind and extremely well led by the manager who is empathic approachable and helpful.

My sister became a resident at Kingston Care Home when she became unable to look after herself, had lost her mobility and required nursing care. As we live hours away it has been so reassuring and helpful for me and her other relatives that she is in the professional, excellent compassion, understanding
and diligent care of qualified staff, kind assistance (for well being and activities) as well as the team of auxiliary staff.

Our mum came to live at Kingston Care Home in 2020. Due to Covid, and the lockdown she didn't settle too well, but she was suffering from dementia and had been in the same home looking after herself for many years. However the staff were amazing and made her feel as welcome and as loved and cared for
as they could and she soon seemed to settle. My sister and I were thankful that our mum was being given the 24/7 care she needed and we cannot fault the help that she was given and the communication we had in helping to decide what sort of care was appropriate at each stage. Unfortunately, mum died in February, and my sister and I didn't get there in time to be with her however one of the carers held her hand in those final moments so she was not on her own.

Sadly my father in law only got to spend a short time here as he was very ill, when we visited to look over the home we got an immediate feeling that it was the best place for him. The manager was very nice and took us on a tour of the home to show us around nothing seemed to much trouble and he made
sure we saw all areas of the home and facilities available. Whilst dad was a resident he was clean, comfortable and safe. The communication regarding dads health was very good. We were very happy with the staff all round and we were always greeted with friendliness and a smile. Thank you so much to the manager and his team for making dads last days as comfortable and dignified as possible.

Myself, my wife and family would like to thank the manager & his team at Kingston Care Home, for the outstanding quality of care our Mum/Nan is receiving. Our Mum was placed here at the end of last year, she has been in 2 previous homes where she was extremely unhappy & was not settling. Since being
with the manager & his team, she has settled, she loves the carers, the food & the home in general. The service she is receiving is 2nd to none, the home is clean, the food is lovely and well presented, her needs are taken care of, she is treated with dignity & respect. She isn't the most easiest of people to please and can be quite challenging at times but the staff know how to deal with her on her bad days, calming her down & making her feel safe and comfortable again. There is always someone to speak to & we get regular updates. We honestly can't thank the manager and his team enough. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved 1.

I have always found the staff pleasant and welcoming. My friend is well looked after. She is neatly dressed and her hair washed. She has dementia and therefore needs close supervision when walking in the corridors. I am writing this on behalf of my friend.

My husband moved to the home four weeks ago as he was becoming unsafe at home. He was made welcome by each staff member. I know he calls me all the time but they are patient with him. He has a; already been taken to the National History Museum. If I go to visit and he is not in his room the carers always
know where he is, if I take him out a carer comes to the car to lift the wheelchair into the care for me. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. Though he has had the hearing aids in the wrong ears sometimes.

My wife had a two-week stay and settled in very quickly thanks to the kind and supportive staff. She fairly rapidly started to eat in the dining room with other service users and I think she enjoyed the experience. She seems to have slept well although she rolled out of bed on one occasion. It was not
obvious to me what sort of activities took place and I took her out a couple of times for singing events that we normally attend. The staff were helpful in ensuring she had supper, although she came back a few minutes late. I was slightly concerned about her clothes getting lost but in due course have reappeared. I was kept well-informed about how she was coping.

I cannot thank Kingston Care Home enough for the consistent care given to my friend. She was always very well looked after, with her hair always brushed and clean, and her room was always spotless. The staff at Kingston Care Home, starting from one particular member of staff to the manager, was amazing.

My dad came to the home at the end of last year after a sudden decline in health. We were, as a family, immediately taken in and welcomed. Dad got a good grooming and the world felt right again. The staff were always cheery, kind and very helpful. Dad became attached to a favourite mug and they would
make sure it was kept topped up with tea. The nurses kept us informed of any changes in his health and the course of action they were taking. The room was clean, well-kept and felt homely. The management staff would always greet us when we were visiting and made themselves available if we needed to chat or ask questions. We were reassured while Dad was in their care and were able to enjoy the best quality time with him whilst they looked after him. A massive thank you to everyone at Kingston Care home.

I am Next of Kin to the Resident and can only visit occasionally. She has been in the home for getting on for two years and is now bed-bound unless the staff move her to a different location in her chair. She spends many days sleeping but when she is awake she enjoys talking about the experiences of

What a gem of a place this was for our short time at Kingston Care, we felt blessed to be there with it's excellent caring staff who were so gentle and professional in every way. So clean and tidy, even down to the front car park with not a trace of litter anywhere outside and beautifully kept gardens
throughout. Staff seemed happy and content and so professional, a sense of calm and peace, well managed - never change, please!

Kingston Care Home is a wonderful place. Our experience of all staff, from the managers and amazing carers, through to the brilliantly creative activities team, the friendly cleaners and the home's hard-working gardener (the displays of plants and flowers always look lovely!), has only been positive.
My mum has been a resident for a year now, and the care has been excellent, but equally, she has become part of a warm, welcoming community where residents and carers share friendly, first-name relationships, and everyone is treated not just with respect but with real affection. And that goes for families too! The weekly programme of fun social activities keeps everyone busy, and the special events the activities team arrange for key dates, and especially the parties they throw for residents' birthdays, are always enjoyed by everyone. The employees seem happy to be at Kingston Care Home, and the impressive level of staff retention reinforces this feeling. Thanks for everything, Kingston Care Home!
