My mother had a lovely last 7 years living at the Kingston Care Home. They were happy years being cared for by wonderfully dedicated, caring and respectful carers. I cannot fault the care she received during her long stay at the home and everybody was so kind to my elderly step-father, who visited on
a regular basis.
I would like to say a big thank you to everybody at the home, especially over the last two difficult years of covid.

Our family member was made welcome straight away by this excellent, caring team. How lucky we were to have found them at Kingston Care Home. His medications were handled and he was encouraged, when possible, to enjoy times with others. He gained an understanding of his limitations but was always treated
with kindness, consideration and patience. Communication with the family was also great. We can't thank the team enough!

My aunt suffered a major stroke in October 2018 and needed a lot of support during her stay at the care home. Her physical needs were met very efficiently, and she was given every encouragement to participate in creative activities and to maintain and improve her mobility.


During the covid pandemic,

every effort was made to maintain contact between the care home residents and their loved ones using emails and modern technology. The support team were very innovative in the pastimes and entertainments they prepared for the residents so the environment was uplifting and engaging.

During the summer of 2020 we were faced with the sad reality of needing to place my mum in a care home, due to complex nursing needs and frailty. Kingston Care Home provided my mum with a place and as soon as we met and spoke to the staff, we knew she would be looked after. All of the staff were amazing
from management to domestic and my mum was so happy. She was never lonely, even during COVID restrictions, staff always popped in and out for a chat. The kind chef and his team always made sure that her dietary needs were met. Sadly my mum became gravely ill in September, during this time my mum and our family were treated with the utmost respect right up to the time of saying goodbye. Thank you so much.

My mother recently passed away at Kingston Care Home (7th Oct) and I just need to say how amazing this care home is. My mum was admitted into the care home in January 2021. She was admitted via the hospital fast track and as a family, we had great reservations regarding her being in any care home. However,
I can honestly say we couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to be in, they were so kind and caring to our mother and always kept us up-to-date with everything going on with her. Nothing was too much trouble! We cannot thank them enough for making the last 10 months of our mum's life what it was. Even in the last few days of her life, they accommodated us as a family, being there if we needed anything right until the end. They showed true empathy and sympathy when the end came for her and we feel they genuinely cared. So once again I will say on behalf of our family - thank you so much Kingston Care Home, an absolute gem of a place.

Poor experience, my stepfather received terrible care in your home. He resided with you for twelve weeks and was taken to hospital via an ambulance and was placed in high dependency and sadly passed away. I feel your staff are very unqualified and need to be overlooked more carefully. No care plan was
ever shown to our family and the management team are working like dust. One minute there was a manager, then they left.

This care home is faultless in every way. The carers, nurses, doctors and administrators work tirelessly to give their residents the very best care in their starlight years, nothing is too much trouble no matter what is needed it is done in a flash and if needed in an emergency, an earthquake happens
and it's sorted. The organisation is faultless I trust this home/staff to do a job which I no longer could do. And my resident is very happy contented and being kept alive. Dedication by angels who put others first in this very trying time.

My late father was a resident at the home until recently. I would like to pay tribute here to the kind care and attention that the staff gave to him while he was in the care home. My experience while I was still free to see him was that the staff treated him like a friend and showed genuine interest
in his well being. Thus during the pandemic, I have always felt that he was in safe hands. I talked earlier this week with the nurse who was with him on his final day and she kindly provided me with the comfort that he had not suffered. I guess care homes can have all sorts of facilities etc, but in the end, the thing that counts is the hearts of the staff and that Kingston Care Home has in abundance. So thank you to everyone for helping my lovely Pa.

My Nan is at Kingston care home and has been for a year or so now. Its been really hard with coronavirus not to visit her but the home has kept in contact with my mum and we speak with my Nan almost daily. She is happy and comfortable and that is all we can ask for. The staff are always helpful and
friendly and we can't wait to visit once this is all over.

Mum has been very well cared for since moving to Kingston Care Home. The staff are all very caring and supportive and look after her needs well. I am kept informed with her state of health etc and feel able to ask anything about her care, should I be concerned. I am very happy with Kingston Care Home

Overall Mum is being well looked after. It has taken time for us to get used to her being in a home and for her too. There is or could be improved, the menu system as after she has had what she does not like. But they all listen, do the best they can. When we asked if Mum could be moved to a bigger
room, the Manager could not have been more helpful. The move all went well and the maintenance man was marvellous.

The permanent care staff are excellent and very caring, but because of the shortage of staff, they do not have time to provide as much time as they would like with residents. The standard of agency staff is abysmal and they appear to have little or no training and 'are only there for their wages!'
