My father has been in Kingston Care Home for about two years now. In that time he has been very settled and happy and felt very well cared for. The staff have always been very friendly to me and keep me well informed as to how my dad is doing. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my dad to be in.

I cannot thank Kingston Care Home enough for the consistent care given to my friend. She was always very well looked after, with her hair always brushed and clean, and her room was always spotless. The staff at Kingston Care Home, starting from one particular member of staff to the manager, was amazing. Thank you.

My dad came to the home at the end of last year after a sudden decline in health. We were, as a family, immediately taken in and welcomed. Dad got a good grooming and the world felt right again. The staff were always cheery, kind and very helpful. Dad became attached to a favourite mug and they would make sure it was kept topped up with tea. The nurses kept us informed of any changes in his health and the course of action they were taking. The room was clean, well-kept and felt homely. The management staff would always greet us when we were visiting and made themselves available if we needed to chat or ask questions. We were reassured while Dad was in their care and were able to enjoy the best quality time with him whilst they looked after him. A massive thank you to everyone at Kingston Care home.

My mother was a resident for nearly five years. She was very happy here and referred to it as her home. We always found the staff to be friendly, caring and kind. My mother was always well cared for and treated with the utmost respect.

I am Next of Kin to the Resident and can only visit occasionally. She has been in the home for getting on for two years and is now bed-bound unless the staff move her to a different location in her chair. She spends many days sleeping but when she is awake she enjoys talking about the experiences of her lifetime. She is always smartly dressed and well looked after.

My mother-in-law and uncle are both in the care home. They are being looked after well. The qualified nurses are excellent and knowledgeable and communicate with the family well. The carers are kind and approachable and always greet us with a smile. The food is of a very good standard and we are very happy with the overall care.

What a gem of a place this was for our short time at Kingston Care, we felt blessed to be there with it's excellent caring staff who were so gentle and professional in every way. So clean and tidy, even down to the front car park with not a trace of litter anywhere outside and beautifully kept gardens throughout. Staff seemed happy and content and so professional, a sense of calm and peace, well managed - never change, please!

Overall Experience

Kingston Care Home is a wonderful place. Our experience of all staff, from the managers and amazing carers, through to the brilliantly creative activities team, the friendly cleaners and the home's hard-working gardener (the displays of plants and flowers always look lovely!), has only been positive. My mum has been a resident for a year now, and the care has been excellent, but equally, she has become part of a warm, welcoming community where residents and carers share friendly, first-name relationships, and everyone is treated not just with respect but with real affection. And that goes for families too! The weekly programme of fun social activities keeps everyone busy, and the special events the activities team arrange for key dates, and especially the parties they throw for residents' birthdays, are always enjoyed by everyone. The employees seem happy to be at Kingston Care Home, and the impressive level of staff retention reinforces this feeling. Thanks for everything, Kingston Care Home!

My friend spent the last few months of her life at Kingston Care. She was very well looked after here, in a nicely decorated room which was kept clean and tidy. We personalised her room with some of her pictures and ornaments. All the staff have been lovely - the manager, the lady on reception, the care assistants and of course the nurses. So grateful to you all.

Mum was resident here for just over a year. The staff were always kind, courteous, and respectful to not only Mum's needs, wishes, and desires but also to those of myself and my family. They became extended family and upon her health declining, her last days and hours were absolutely wonderful! Can't thank you all enough - we love you all.

Mum came to Kingston Care Home from hospital to be assessed. Every single member of staff - carers, nurses, admin etc have been so helpful. Their care and compassion is 100%. The well-being of the resident is their main concern at all times. The food and rooms are excellent, no one would go hungry.

Mum has said that having to deal with losing her ability to to everyday things for herself can sometimes make her angry and frustrated, on a few occasions she has had to apologise to staff, but they all understood. They are all marvellous.

My brother-in-law was admitted from hospital. He was very frail and recovering from a serious condition. He has had several serious relapses there is no question had it not been for their quick-acting, outstanding care and welfare he would not be with us today, my brother-in-law speaks highly of the home, quality of the accommodation, hygiene and one-to-one treatment. He feels part of the home and welfare and well-being are paramount, which is a great comfort. They make every effort that he interacts with the entertainment and facilities menu is excellent quality produce - steamed vegetables, choice of meats and delicious, desserts. He has a comprehensive care plan, which all the staff are aware of and that’s brought to my attention when necessary. The manager is very aware of his residence and their needs and his priority is for their welfare and happiness has transferred to his staff. Tha manager and all his staff do an outstanding job which is such a comfort and peace of mind knowing my brother-in-law is in such good care.

Kingston Care Home is a hidden gem. The quality of care provided is outstanding. The management and staff are genuine and caring people. They treat residents with dignity and respect and are supportive of family members. My father's health was very poor upon entering the home but with the attention to the care of the staff, he improved. The home has an excellent homely environment that's very clean and nicely furnished. We have nothing but positive interactions with management/staff. In my father's final days, the staff spent time with him and kept us updated on his condition. I appreciate everything they do and can never thank them enough. They are an excellent example of what a residential home should be.

We have just lost our ninety-two year old mother who had been a resident of Kingston Care Home for eighteen months.
Our mother had Alzheimer's and near the end was very frail indeed.

She received excellent care in every way throughout her time at Kingston with respect, kindness and enormous empathy from all the staff. She developed friendly relationships with the staff and other residents and remained happy and content throughout this period of her life. The staff always listened to us and followed up on any thoughts or questions that we had and we feel that our mum felt secure. Her last days were met with compassion and wonderful nursing care for which we are very grateful.

My mother has been a resident at Kingston Care Home since November 2022. She is 93, very frail and at the end of her life. The nurses have been very kind and respectful of my mother's needs. They gently encouraged her to integrate with life in the home when she was more able but have always listened and evolved their care to reflect my mother's situation. They have been kind and supportive to me on my daily visits. The whole team are friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Alex TiexeiraJob Title:Home Manager

Coming from Portugal, a country renowned for its care for the elderly, Alex found their calling in the UK.

Their career journey spans from Scotland to London, beginning as a Registered Nurse at Colinton Care Home in Edinburgh and later at Uplands Care Home in Streatham. Now, as Home Manager at Kingston, they make a positive impact on residents and the team.

Alex's key to success is getting to know residents and the team, and fostering happiness. They maintain an open-door policy and actively assist the team, frequently seen in uniform.

Beyond work, they love fashion, shopping, and experimenting with new looks.

Their proudest achievement outside work is completing a nursing degree while juggling a part-time job.

Alex emphasises the importance of a caring "family" environment in care homes. Their advice for those seeking the right care home is to follow their instincts and look for inclusion and support in the home's atmosphere, whether as a resident, team member, or family.
