I visit pm weekly and always find that I am recognised, warmly welcomed and acknowledged by any member of staff I encounter.

The reception area is attractive with fresh flowers and beverages are available should access not be convenient to the resident on arrival. The front and rear garden areas are well laid out and maintained.

Review from A S (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 June 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father's condition both physically and mentally has improved since being here. He cannot walk and needs constant care, cleaning, washing, shaving. The staff have been amazing and are very sensitive and polite as well as efficient. They are friendly and helpful to us and visiting friends. The food is excellent and cleanliness is good considering what the conditions of residents are. I was apprehensive about my father being in a care home, but I am now very happy and it has taken a lot off the shoulders of my mother and I.

Meet the Team (1)

Alex Tiexeira
Alex TiexeiraJob Title:Home Manager

Coming from Portugal, a country renowned for its care for the elderly, Alex found their calling in the UK.

Their career journey spans from Scotland to London, beginning as a Registered Nurse at Colinton Care Home in Edinburgh and later at Uplands Care Home in Streatham. Now, as Home Manager at Kingston, they make a positive impact on residents and the team.

Alex's key to success is getting to know residents and the team, and fostering happiness. They maintain an open-door policy and actively assist the team, frequently seen in uniform.

Beyond work, they love fashion, shopping, and experimenting with new looks.

Their proudest achievement outside work is completing a nursing degree while juggling a part-time job.

Alex emphasises the importance of a caring "family" environment in care homes. Their advice for those seeking the right care home is to follow their instincts and look for inclusion and support in the home's atmosphere, whether as a resident, team member, or family.
