My husband has been a resident at Autumn Vale Care Centre for the past 15 months. In that time I have appreciated the time, patience and care all the staff have taken to get to know my husband and understand how best to look after him and meet his needs. It has made all the difference to his quality

Mum arrived 15 months ago in a non communicative state, unable to feed herself, dress herself or complete daily functions. Within a few months, this had started to come back due to the care, the sensitivity all the team have shown, along with patience, understanding and a true desire to do the very
best for her. I feel so happy and blessed that she is at Autumn Vale, as she is happy, safe, and cared for in the best possible way. So thank you to everyone.

Husband has now settled in well. Such a lovely, caring place, the staff are so helpful and caring. Lofts of activities and has been on trips out, which he has really enjoyed. Feel he is being well looked after. Am able to ring and speak to his carer on the unit if I have any concerns.

My mother has been placed in Autumn Vale to be care assessed, this has been agreed and extended another 4 weeks. The care mum has received is extremely wonderful. Before mum came here, as a family, we were adamant on getting mum home, but now we are aware the care she needs is more complex. Our views
have changed due to the care mum has received from the home.

I am very happy with all the care Geoff receives. I would like to sit in Geoff's room with him to enjoy a quiet time with tea and biscuits, therefore, if there is another lounge chair available to place in his room. He likes to watch rugby, and that is coming up soon.

My mother has been here since June this year, the team have been amazing with her despite her sometimes challenging behaviour, they have made her feel safe and at home. They have gone above and beyond with her ensuring they keep her occupied and busy. Our father, also a resident at the home, recently
passed away all of the staff have been amazing, supporting Mum and us as a family. Mum could not be in a better place with such lovely, caring staff.

Mum is very happy at Autumn Vale and is responding well to the staff who are helpful, kind and attentive, particularly when feeding on a one to one basis. My mum passed away on 4th June 2025 aged 100. She had been resident at Autumn Vale since arriving from hospital at the end of the covid outbreak shortly after her 97th birthday. In her 3 and 1/2 years as resident here she had always been full of praise for the care Autumn Vale provided. Praise for the
kindness and helpfulness of the nursing staff and especially for the support provided by her key workers. I beleive every endeavour was made to provide her with as much comfort as possible throughout her stay. Bedridden, but never left out. Autumn Vale provides a host of extra's like live entertainment, outings and workshops for residents. They have hairdressing facilities and arrange for personal care like chiropody. The nursing staff keep detailed records of the residents health, they know the residents well and keep family up to date. The administration is well run. Infact the home so well run I would like to recommend it, it is a first class care home.

Since my brother came to Autumn Vale Nursing Home in very poor health, after a very bad fall at home, the care staff have been very kins and caring towards my brother. A infection in his leg was very quickly referred to the doctor ad at home hospital team, in which my brother was admitted to hospital
again, but since returning to the home, he has made a very good recovery, in which we are amazed with. A special thank you to the manager and her team for caring for my brother.

This has been the best visit by far. My sister joined in the quiz and I enjoyed interacting. She was lovely with my husband and I decided to stay for lunch with this new group of residents, she even said "it would be nice to have a glass if wine)

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2010

Starting as a care assistant on a student visa was challenging, but I was fortunate to find a place at Gold Care Homes (GCH) where I could truly follow my passion for caring for the elderly. Over the past 11 years, I’ve been proud to grow within a diverse and supportive community, learning from both residents and staff. I’ve especially enjoyed building meaningful bonds with residents, listening to their inspiring stories, and providing care that respects their wishes and lifestyles.


Since joining GCH in 2010, I’ve progressed from Carer, Senior Carer, Unit Leader, Supervised Practice Nurse, Qualified Nurse, Deputy Manager, and now to Home Manager, supported every step of the way by the company, my colleagues, and my family.
