The staff at Autumn Vale Care Centre are what made our experience of caring for my aunt at the end of her life so much easier to bear. The management were always helpful, kind and empathetic. We will be forever grateful for their support.

All staff welcoming, kept informed of anything that was happening with Mum's care. The staff ensured that her dignity was maintained up to and after her death. They were supportive and this was especially helpful when Mum passed. A big thank you.

My mother was in for an assessment only. My first impression was how clean and bright the residence was. The bedroom was very clean and the staff were very friendly.

Care home was excellent, the staff were excellent, communication was excellent. The care was really good even though short. The room was well-equipped, security was very good. Very friendly staff and very supported.

The whole family loved the place, if it wasn't so far from us all we could visit dad often. We would have very much wanted him looked after in a beautiful place, with wonderful staff, carers couldn't do enough for all the residents. My father actually told me he feel looked after like a king!

Not only is the facility beautifully presented, it is clean and modern. The staff are superb! They are kind, professional and extremely caring. They take time to know the residents and engage with them, playing music and singing songs. It is a fabulous care home.

Always make me welcome when I come to visit. Dad seems very happy here, always clean and well-fed. The home is always very tidy and tea and coffee are nonstop.

The one thing that really stood out for us when trying to find a home for our mother was that we always felt so welcome, walking about the home, with the way it is decorated, does not feel like a care home. All the lounges are decorated differently which gives the feel you are in a different place,
not seeing the same old colours on the wall, the staff are amazing and it's so lovely to see them laughing with my mum and through this has a special bond with her key worker who keeps me updated with Mums day to day activities. The staff are very welcoming and treat everyone with dignity and care, so for us, this was our choice of home where we knew Mum would be happy. The management team are always available with any concerns we may have, we can not thank the staff enough. Thank you.

My mother enjoyed her stay there, although her condition deteriorated in recent months.

Can't praise the staff and care my wife receives highly enough, the place feels welcoming from the moment you walk through the doors.
The staff are always smiling and attentive to the needs of patients and visitors.

My mother spent the last two and a half years of her life in the Poppy unit at Autumn Vale Care Centre. She was very well looked after and the care staff were compassionate and cheerful with her. The care home was friendly and welcoming. The staff gave Mum the help she needed and kept her happy.

My mother moved into Autumn Vale Care Centre after a short spell in hospital for a 28-day assessment. Sadly, she passed away during this time. I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to be. The staff were hard-working, friendly, compassionate and really caring, they treated my mother with sensitivity
and dignity right through to the end of her life. Thank you Autumn Vale.

We found the facilities to be of very high level and the staff to be immediately attentive when needed and discreet and careful otherwise. Keeping a close eye on the residents and visitors without being Intrusive. The staff were always available to answer any questions we had, openly and clearly.

My aunt's situation was complicated. The staff worked with me in a very short space of time to find the best package for the best benefit to my aunt's well-being.
They were kind, warm and considerate and as old people, like all of us one day, need to feel love and attention and I feel comfortable leaving
my aunt here.

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the care that my mother has been provided with. The staff are always helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble and they are happy to do it with a smile. The room and centre are well-maintained and clean.

Dropped in unannounced to see the facilities and was warmly welcomed. The room was light and clean. A lovely peaceful place for my husband to spend his last few days. Prarthana Bhandari

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2010

Starting as a care assistant on a student visa was challenging, but I was fortunate to find a place at Gold Care Homes (GCH) where I could truly follow my passion for caring for the elderly. Over the past 11 years, I’ve been proud to grow within a diverse and supportive community, learning from both residents and staff. I’ve especially enjoyed building meaningful bonds with residents, listening to their inspiring stories, and providing care that respects their wishes and lifestyles.


Since joining GCH in 2010, I’ve progressed from Carer, Senior Carer, Unit Leader, Supervised Practice Nurse, Qualified Nurse, Deputy Manager, and now to Home Manager, supported every step of the way by the company, my colleagues, and my family.
