Although our Mother was only at the Hatfield care Home for a short while before her passing, the immediate difference we saw in her coming from a busy NHS ward was incredible.

Having worked in and for the NHS for 55 years I can honestly say the staff here were the most committed, caring, compassionate and professional I have seen.

Amazing people making an amazing difference.

I cannot begin to say how much my family appreciated the love and care my father was given during his two and a half year stay at Hatfield. The management and staff were exemplary from his arrival until his departure. We left there after every visit reassured that my father was being cared for to the highest standard. That's all families can ask for.

My mum moved into Hatfield Nursing home in January. My mum was a little reluctant, however I have seen her confidence grow. She is at high risk of falls and is always worried about falling. The care she has received has been compassionate and her dignity has always been maintained. The team always keep me updated of any concerns. The manager is very welcoming and will always greet with a smile and make effort to ask how my visit went. Thank you to everyone for all they do for my mum. I now can go home and not worry as previously when she was at home.

My nan has had amazing care and has been there for the last 3 months the carers are all kind and that there always willing to support her. There has recently been amazing activity in the garden eg live music and events. If we as a family have any concerns we can go straight to the manager as she always has her door open. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone seeking for an open and caring environment for their loved ones

Our family cannot thank the team at Hatfield Nursing Home enough. From day one, the care provided to my nan has been deeply person-centered, compassionate, and professional.

A special mention must go to the Home Manager, Nicol, who is simply fantastic. Any time we had a concern or a question, she addressed it immediately, which really helped put our minds at ease. We also felt incredibly supported by Andrea, who was brilliant at keeping us informed about every aspect of Nan's care. Her reassuring nature and dedication to treating Nan as an individual meant the world to us. It is a huge relief to find a home that supports the family just as much as the resident. Thank you again.

I cannot recommend Hatfield Nursing Home highly enough. The care my mum received was deeply compassionate, person-centred, and attentive. During what was a very difficult time for our family, the Home Manager, Nicol, was absolutely brilliant. She went above and beyond to support us, putting our minds at ease and giving us the peace of mind that Mum was in safe, capable hands.

The frontline care is equally wonderful. Andrea and Joy have been exceptional-they are so supportive and truly focus on Mum's individual needs. It is such a relief to know she is being looked after by people who genuinely care. Thank you to the whole team for supporting not just my mum, but our entire family.

My mother first went into Hatfield Nursing Home in November 2025, initially for respite for two weeks. She has dementia. This was a new experience for the whole family. With my father still being able & independent at the age of 89 years old & being left in his home, now alone for the first time in 67 years of marriage, this was even more traumatic for them & the family to see happening.
Hatfield Nursing Home have gone above and beyond all they could possibly do.

My mother became a permanent resident 1st December 2025 & the care has been exceptional, that, I would say is an understatement - no words can describe how much they have done not only for my mum & her needs and care and quality of life, but also for my dad and us as a family who feel the guilt and the helplessness - they have reassured us daily with photos and constant activities for my mum & the stimulation she needs. Every resident is given individual 5 star plus care and it is catered for each individual AMAZING!!!!!

Mum has settled into the Hatfield Nursing Home well since moving there in the Autumn of 2025 and the management and care team are friendly, polite and professional.

The home could benefit from more care workers to enable more 121 attention, as the staff to resident ratio sometimes doesn't seem enough on the dementia floor, however, the overall experience is to a very high standard.

We sometimes feedback minor issues but the manager of the care home is excellent in reassuring us or addressing any questions or concerns we have.

As a family, we are very pleased with the home and the whole team who look after Mum and knowing she is safe and cared for is extremely important to us.

Our family cannot praise Hatfield Nursing Home and Nicol highly enough for the incredible support they have given my mum since she moved in. She was recently taken into care due to dementia, and from the very first day the staff have shown genuine compassion, patience and understanding. They take the time to get to know her as a person, not just as a resident, and their kindness has brought real comfort to both her and us as a family. The home is always clean, calm and welcoming, and we feel reassured knowing she is safe, well looked after and treated with dignity. We are truly grateful for the outstanding care she receives every day.

I cannot speak highly enough of this care home. My father has been a resident since the beginning of September & the manager & staff have been amazing in helping him transition from hospital to residential care. The staff are so very caring & treat all residents with respect. The manager, Nicol, leads by excellent example & team leader, Michelle, is also superb - the residents adore them.
Activities are laid on & my father often enjoys these. Dad is also very happy with the food. The staff soon got to know his likes & dislikes so he always enjoys his meals.
The atmosphere is so very calm & everywhere is exceptionally clean - no nasty smells that are sometimes associated with care homes.

After being very anxious at having to take the step of moving our father into residential care, Hatfield Nursing Home has far exceeded any expectations we could have had. It has been a pleasure getting to know the staff & many of the other residents. Thank you all for providing such outstanding care.

My treasured mother is very vulnerable and has high needs - with Hatfield Nursing Home I see that she is treated with kindness and respect - and there is much understanding and competence for her needs. It means I can feel confident about her care and have less anxiety about her needs being met. When I visit I notice the care given to her and that she is always calm and content. Today she looked great - her hair was beautifully combed and she was dressed well. It is hard to express how much this means to me. Thanks to all the carers there.

First, may I use this space to thank the Staff at Hatfield Nursing Home for allowing my Nan to depart from us in a safe, secure, clean and comfortable way.
My nan was admitted to Hatfield Nursing Home under Palliative Care. From her arrival, the staff and management warmly welcomed her, making her feel at home; as a result, my usually stubborn nan settled in faster than we expected.
Nothing was too much to ask and came without hesitation. Sometimes when dealing with others, they would come after and she never had to wait long for help.
The place is very clean and always kept tidy. Staff there took time to ensure the place ran smoothly and with pride.
The home is very accommodating for the visitors too. During her last couple of days, bedding essentials were provided for my mother and sister to be with her by her side.

I personally would like to thank the Home who didn't just help my nan remain comfortable in her last hours, but also helped us the family knowing she was looked after

Mixed Reaction to this place....
The positives - A modern building. The bedrooms are bright, airy and spacious and have ensuites. Nice dining room and lounge which residents are rightly encouraged to use.
The vast majority of staff are caring, professional and patient.
The food is good and the place overall is very clean.
The negatives - A small minority of staff aren't as good as they could be, scrolling on their phones too much rather than attending to residents. On one occasion there was a heated argument between two staff members. I reported this but heard nothing back.
The management really doesn't like complaints or criticisms and at best a delay in investigating or nothing done at all.
My dad was in hospital for a week and a half. During that time, no call from the Nursing Home to me or my family asking how he was. My dad sadly died. I went into the home to tell staff. I was told "it's all for the best: which was upsetting.

I was a regular visitor, visiting twice a day
