I find the reception team (especially one staff member) to be very friendly and very good at her job. I find the manager always very friendly and always working hard. I find the staff diligent in their work.

For the past few months, it is obvious that the work of staff at a care home has been more difficult. I can honestly say the management and staff there have risen to the occasion wonderfully. All safety rules, lockdown, spacing contact with the outside world have been carefully obeyed with compassion and wisdom. We are all free of Coronavirus. Since I moved here two years ago, I have been impressed by the care taken to preserve the resident's dignity and wellbeing. Long may this continue.

The care throughout covid has been amazing. My Dad was nursed through having the virus, all the restrictions were put in place sensitively, communication with family members has been great. My Dad remains happy there. The manager seems very caring, staff in my Dad's area are great. What a blessing he ended up there to go through this difficult year. My NHS job involves visiting care homes, so I've seen a lot to compare against.

We have found Mum's care home to be really good, even in these challenging times. We have had face time calls with her that the staff helped with. We cannot thank the staff enough for all their hard work and making sure that our mum is taken care of. We will always recommend Hatfield Care Home.

Generally, I am pleased with the care that has been given to my mother. Obviously, in these COVID times it is difficult to comment via direct observation as we are not allowed into the home. When I meet my mother outside she seems happy and appears to interact well with the staff. They say that she seems happy, has a good sense of humour and is eating well.
She has moved rooms three times since she moved in for various legitimate reasons so I cannot visualise her in her surroundings at the moment and look forward to the time when we will once again be allowed to visit our family members in the home.
I get phone calls from the staff on her floor updating me for example if she has had a fall, seen a doctor or been tested for COVID (routine).

I have had very little contact from management so I feel that could be better. For example, I was not informed when it was possible to make an appointment to visit my mother, I only found that out when I rang and asked when this could happen.

The care my mum is getting is of a very high level. Not only is this administered to her now very high needs in a way that us technically excellent but all is done with a very warm and human touch. The carers and all who work at Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home are lovely people. I sleep better at night knowing that Mum is in these lovely people's care.

A universal positive attitude from everyone, helping, welcoming and listening. The home is clean and hospitable. I have visited every day for two and a half years, and have not found anything serious to challenge.

A weak area is the laundry, but I understand the difficulties, and they are doing a difficult job.

This home is excellent in every way. My mother's husband is at the home, she visits him once a week and has lunch with him, in the dining room. The food is excellent, his room is very nice and a good size. He is well looked after and stimulated by the staff. Even a nice place to visit, happy and relaxed place to be. Love the Christmas atmosphere when I visited today.

I've been involved with four other care homes, who do not care. This is the only one that cares for their residents. The staff are very helpful. If there are any problems, they are sorted straight away. Dad seems very happy here, which is so good.

I have been in different hospitals and wards and when I arrived, I had an incredible experience. I could have never imagined the quality of my experience. My room is good, and so is all my care. I am helped when I need it and encouraged to do things for myself, to get stronger. The staff are so good at their work, and they are real people, like friends. The other resident are also delightful. The whole atmosphere is incredibly good. Food good - variety and choice and individual needs and likes are met.

My mother stayed to last 5 months of her life at The Hatfield Residential Home and I have nothing but praise for the care, compassion and support she received from all member so staff. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this home to others. In addition, staff were wonderful to my father and myself. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

For 9 months, Mum was a resident at the home. After 60 years in her own house, she found a second home. Staff are superb and the care is the highest quality. When end of life care was needed, the respect and dignity shown to Mum and her family was the best.
Can give no higher praise than to say "Mum wanted to die at home. When her time came, she was insistent that she was going nowhere as she was at home".

Mum passed away at peace and happy. Testimony to the staff.

Mum was accepted in May this year, unsure of everything. I can only say from day 1, the kindness, warmth and caring staff have made our transition easy. From manager all across the staff, they are so friendly, helpful. My aunt has been down, we were all a bit worried about her reaction. She said she would book herself in, they are all so lovely. Thank you everyone.

My mother went into Hatfield Nursing Home beginning of September 2018 and was looked after by the Camila Team.

They were the most caring team, I could have wished for. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They kept me informed in regards to her health, called doctors when needed for the four months she was with them. They all loved her and gave the best care possible. Thank you.

'The sanctuary' is the home where my father went after a fall. He was bed bound and unavailable to do anything for himself. The staff were so kind to him. They were patient, considerate and respectful. They allowed him to hold onto as much dignity as possible. When the time came to inform us he was close to dying, they were so compassionate to us and made a harrowing experience more manageable. I would recommend this home wholeheartedly to anyone considering it.

My mother was a resident for almost 3 years.
Unfortunately, the last few weeks have been horrid for her and she passed away on 14th July.
The staff, without exception, were wonderful and treated mother with care, compassion and dignity.

They were also very helpful in the aftermath of her death, for which we thank them.
