My mother was a resident at Hatfield Residential Home for the last two years of her life. I was very satisfied with the care and affection she received from all the staff and their genuine humanity and care for her. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and at no time did I have any concerns about my mother's safety or security which enabled her to pass away with dignity.

My nan came to Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home after a spell in the hospital, first for residential care and later for the nursing end of life care. From the day she arrived until her peaceful end she was treated with the highest level of dignity, respect, care and compassion. It allowed precious time for my mum and aunt to be loving daughters and enjoy their visit knowing my nan was well cared for. I am so thankful we found this care home and for everything they have done for my nan and all the family.

My mother is being cared for in the most dignified and sensitive way during the final stage of her life.
It is not easy for relatives, friends and of course residents at this time, but I am comforted by the care and support the home and its staff have given me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mum came to Hatfield after a spell in hospital. We are so glad we have found such a caring, friendly home. Mum has settled in so quickly - the staff are so thoughtful. Even when Mum needed to change from residential to nursing care we didn't have to worry. Nothing is too much trouble at this lovely home. Thank you all so much.

I have visited the home 3 times in all. I went with a mutual friend to visit a resident, also a friend to both of us. We were welcomed and shown where to go, what code to use for various areas and offered an escort. We spent a very pleasant hour with our friend who seemed very content and pleased to see us. We were treated to fresh tea and cake, which was most enjoyable. Our friend seemed very satisfied with the aspects of care received in your home.

Hatfield Residential, run by Sanctuary, provided end of life care to my mother-in-law after the care home she had been in for over 5 years closed. This was a distressing time for all and the staff at Sanctuary could not have been more supportive. The home itself is well maintained and her room was lovely, bright and decorated like a home rather than a hospital. We felt she was treated with dignity and respect throughout. We always felt very comfortable visiting her as the home has a lovely relaxed feel. All of the staff have been really helpful throughout everything: from helping us as we searched for a new home for her to getting her moved and settled then sadly dealing with her passing when the time came and even since.

My overall experience of Sanctuary Care, Hatfield is very good. Many carers have formed great relationships with my mum and she, for the most part, appears very relaxed and comfortable. I still feel there are times that the communication levels of some of the senior staff are questionable. My mum finds it difficult to understand them and they are a bit too quick to carry out duties without really explaining what they are doing. I myself find it hard to understand at times.

In general, I can't fault the treatment of my mother, she has been looked after with compassion and respect and I have not observed anything I have been uncomfortable with. I have been informed of any problems in a timely manner. Some issues regarding room maintenance (table lamp not working, missing television remote control etc) have taken a while to resolve but I can't find fault with the general behaviour towards my mum, which is peace of mind for me as I live quite far away and am not able to visit too regularly.

Mother has recently moved into Hatfield Residential and Nursing Home and has been here for just over a month.
There is a warm and friendly atmosphere when you walk in.
The management and staff have made the transition very easy for us all and mother is now settled and happy. Her room is well maintained and she has been able to have some of her own possessions around her.

The staff are caring, sympathetic and respectful towards the residents. The layout and security are very good also.

My Grandma received exemplary care while she stayed at Hatfield care home. Although being bed-bound and having advanced dementia, she was always given lots of time and the carers were always thoughtful to her needs, which showed by how there was always her favourite Irish music playing in her room, a love that stayed with her to the very end. The staff were always very kind and compassionate to Grandma, and to us when we visited and were always friendly and welcoming. Grandma was always well cared for: she was well fed and was always clean when we went in to visit her. The same goes for her bedding and blankets - whenever they were dirty they were changed. I cannot stress how lovely a place this is for someone to spend their last years, and how well cared for they will be.

Very warm inviting environment. My friend was very comfortable and well cared for during her time. She was able to have pictures from her house put up on the wall to make it feel homely.

All the carers had plenty of time for her and nothing was too much trouble.
