Mum moved to the home in early 2023. The staff were so understanding and patient, and we soon had the 'old mum' back for a while. She wasn't the easiest of residents; her strong will and wry humour were understood too. When the end came in late 2025, the end-of-life care was the best we could have wished for. All of the staff were so professional and caring. All her family will be forever grateful for the care Mum received in those last couple of weeks. Thank you, Martins House and all the staff!

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review about your mum's time at Martins House.

It's lovely to hear that the team took the time to understand her personality, her sense of humour and what made her uniquely her. We know that those relationships are so important, and it's wonderful to know...

We recently had to move my mother here due to last home she was in closing to refurbishment. We were very concerned how the disruption would affect her as she has Alzheimer's and gets very confused. It genuinely couldn't have gone better. She settled in very quick and seems very happy here. The staff are all lovely and respectful, from cleaning to nursing staff. It is very clean, and you can see the residents are their no. 1 priority.

Happy Mum, happy me!

My husband stayed at Martins House for the first time two years ago. This is his second respite there. Sadly, he has deteriorated a great deal with Alzheimer's, but all the staff have been so kind to him. I would especially like to mention JoAnne, who has been so helpful and also carers Gary and Ash. Plus a mention to Traci, the tea trolley lady. Thank you to you all.

I was visiting a very good friend staying on respite who sadly has alzeimers and constantly paces - initially it was a stranger environment and from what I saw the staff were all excellent its a very challenging job and I too have had experience of it. As human beings it affects staff probably emotionally. Its mentally very tiring 5 * for Martins House. Clean lovely caring environment. The establishment is very well run.

In December Mum moved into Martins House as her dementia had progressed and she could no longer live safely in her own home. It was a difficult decision to make but the staff all worked hard to make her move as easy as possible.
The staff are excellent. Kind, patient and caring to the residents and there are interesting and enjoyable events each day that residents are gently encouraged to participate in .

Very happy with Mum living at Martins House as I know she is in safe and caring hands.

The staff were very helpful to me on arrival, whilst there and on leaving, The resident I visited also spoke fondly of the care and attention she receives. I stood on the alarm mat by accident and also asked for a coffee, both events were dealt with swiftly, courteously and with a smile.

The team at Martins House looked after my partner for two weeks when I was away for work. The care they gave him was exemplary. They were hugely professional, yet most of all welcoming, friendly and have time for every resident and their specific needs. Martins House is spacious and airy. There is a garden and conservatory. It is spotlessley clean and fresh I recommend Martins House wholeheartedly.

We did not choose martins house 3 and a half years ago, mum came in for respite. The staff are amazing and mum loved it so despite being 40 minutes away from us all, we decided to keep her there. It was the best decision we could have made. She, and we, have been so impressed by the care and love she receives. If there was a six star rating we would give it

Mum was looked after throughout her stay until her peaceful end in December. The staff at Martins House were warm, attentive, kind, caring and genuine. Acting promptly when Mum's condition changed, always kept us up to date, asked for medical intervention and accompanied hospital appointments, arranged meaningful activities, outings and celebrations in an active way. Always encouraged Mum and respected her wishes. We knew she was safe and well-loved. Thank you all.

I could not have been more worried about my mother going into respite care as she was battling dementia but what I found when I arrived was truly wonderful. My mum has now become a resident due in no small part to the kind caring staff. They had so much time for me, my brother and my mum and the positive way in which the treated my mum was so heartwarming. At a time when all you do is worry, they have taken all our stress away knowing how well cared for she is. We cannot thank them enough.

The care home manager has built a fabulous team of outstanding carers, together with two other staff members in particular, I would like to name each and every carer by name, but the page isn't big enough. The whole caring team at Martins House go beyond their remit in the kindness and professionalism they shower on the lucky residents who are looked after as if it is one big happy family at Martins House. Residents are so so lucky being at Martins House.

The staff here are all truly amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were caring, thoughtful and attentive. They gave Mum their time.
My mum arrived after a traumatic experience, finding her partner dead. Her meds were all over the place, but Martinhs House gave her her confidence and strength back.

Everyone is truly amazing; we will miss you so much.
