I am extremely pleased that my dad is a resident of Martins House. I find that the staff at Martins House are extremely professional, courteous, sympathetic and above all very very caring. I am completely happy and relaxed that my father is resident in Martins House particularly during these challenging times. The staff have been superb in ensuring that the home has remained virus free and it is due to their care and diligence that the residents have remained safe and well. I would not hesitate to recommend Martins House to anyone seeking elderly care.
If there is anywhere I want to work is here. Such an amazing place from the time you step into the place.
Mum was only with Martins House for 2 months, at the later stages of dementia, but we found Martins House and the colleagues, the most caring people we could have wished for and made Mum and us, as a family, a very peace of mind end to Mum's life. Thank you all.
It's always a pleasure to visit Matins House. The staff are always lovely and welcoming. The home is spotlessly clean and our relative is always clean, tidy and well cared for.
I feel very relaxed as my mum is looked after. I have never had any problems and my mum is happy which is the most important thing to me.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave a review. We are happy to know that you are at peace of mind over the care your mother receives at Martins House. We strive to provide exceptional care to all of our residents, ensuring they can spend their days at Martins House living comfortably and safely.
My mum spent six weeks at Martins House released from Lister. They were absolutely brilliant at supporting not only my mum but also myself through a very difficult time and transition of mum needing 24-hour care. I will never forget the support and care they gave us through this time. Brilliant home and brilliant carers. Couldn't ask for better care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are thrilled to know that you are satisfied with the quality of care we provide at Martins House. Our wonderful, hardworking carers strive to ensure they provide the best possible, around-the-clock care for all of our residents. Thank you, and stay safe.
The staff are professional and caring and always make time for the families of their residents. During these difficult times, they have done everything they can for the residents and their families.
Thank you, and stay safe.
I can't praise this place enough! The care is first class. My mum is so happy in Martins House and if she's happy we're happy. We can tell that she's always well looked after, her hair is always brushed well and she is clean, well-fed and dressed well. We are always kept well informed of Mum's needs, health and well-being. The best decision we made was for Mum to be cared for by Martins House.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are extremely pleased to know that you are happy with the quality of care provided at Martins House. Our staff go above and beyond to ensure all residents are well looked after and, more importantly, feel at home during their stay at Martins House. Thank you, and stay safe.
It was lovely to see my dad and it was a lovely setting with views of the garden which he enjoyed talking about.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave us a review. We hope your dad will continue to enjoy our fabulous garden especially with the soon arrival of warmer weather.
My mum had been in Martins House for a couple of years plus. All the staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help and advise. Whenever there was a medical issue the staff always reacted very quickly and always kept me informed. Most importantly my mum was happy and felt secure at this care home. My mum sadly passed away a few days ago and prior to this, they had offered me support and advice.
Thank you for your kind review. We would first like to pass on our condolences for the loss of your mum. But it is wonderful to hear that she was happy and comfortable in our care, which would put your mind at ease also. Wishing you well, and our thoughts are with you. Stay safe.
Not being able to visit her due to COVID-19 has been hard, but with the use on technology and great help of the staff we have been able to Skype her on regular occasions, our mum looks extremely happy, and totally relaxed in surroundings which are totally unfamiliar to her.
We have found all the staff to be so helpful, professional, and understanding not just to our mother's needs but also to our father's and our family's needs.
Thank you for going out of your way to leave us a review. We apologise for the inconvenience Covid-19 has caused on the visitation process. We have focused heavily on the utilisation of technology to reduce the impact Covid-19 has had on the mental wellbeing of all our residents. We are also...
I would love to thank all staff at Martins House for the great care and support they have given to my mum and also the support they have given to our family during this difficult time. My mum has flourished since she moved into Martins House and they do things with her we couldn't do when she was at home. She looks so happy when we FaceTime weekly, so tidy and clean which again was difficult for us to do. The office is always ready to answer any questions we have. We, as a family, are so pleased with Martins House and forever grateful to them for looking after our much-loved Mum, who we miss dreadfully every day.

The care the staff at Martin’s House give my dad is outstanding. The staff have been exemplary through the COVID crisis and have steadfastly given an excellent level of care during the most difficult of circumstances. Their professionalism and excellent people skills have helped clients and families alike, up to and during the COVID crisis. The staff have all taken the time to get to know me as well as my father. I am so grateful for everything they do for him. My dad is so happy with the care he receives, he is treated with respect and dignity.
Thank you for your review and your positive comments. The team continue to work so hard to ensure that all residents are safe, well and happy while being concerned for the resident's families and friends as well. Everyone at the home has done a fantastic job, we are very proud of them. Kind regards
My uncle lived at Martins House for about 18 months before his death. At first, he wasn't happy to be in a care home but the care and kindness of the staff won him over, and each time we visited he would remark on how good they were to him. We found the staff to be always pleasant and friendly, and the atmosphere that of a calm and well-run establishment.
Thank you for taking the trouble to post a review of Martin's House, I am sure that your feedback will be valuable for those who are searching for care for a family member. Kind regards
My mum has been a resident for nearly 11 years at Martins House and since day one, I have always felt my mum was safe and well looked after. We’ve had a few issues over the years as you would expect, but nothing major. I can honestly say since the manager has taken over in 2016 along with the team, the home has come on so much and I’m so reassured that my mum is well looked after. So nice to see the home manager, along with the deputy manager, acknowledge the residents as much as the carers. I’m always kept informed about her wellbeing, especially if I’m at work and can’t see her every day. The carers are lovely and know my mum inside and out. I cannot fault the home and the team.
Hi Lyza, thank you for leaving this honest response. It's great to hear that your mum is comfortable and you are happy with the level of care she is receiving. The team at Martins House are incredibly passionate and it's lovely to see how much others appreciate them, as much as we do. Thank you again. Take care and stay safe.
They even went to the theatre to see a pantomime.
All the staff are so friendly and caring. She has her hair done every week and Mum always keeps the staff amused.
The standard of care is exceptional in every way.
Thank you for your incredibly detailed feedback. We're extremely pleased that your mother is having a fabulous time at our home. - Best regards.
We were very pleased to meet one of the new senior carers who took the trouble to come and have a chat with us about Mum and her care. She reassured us about bathing rotas and informed us that she was going to give Mum a bath and hair wash that day. When our sister visited a couple of days later she though Mum looked lovely and that the hairdresser had been in. This senior carer seems to be a very kind and caring person with a professional and friendly approach.
Lovely, thank you for sharing this with us in your review. Our staff work so hard and it is absolutely wonderful that you've noticed the individual's work and dedication to 'great care, so thank you - Best regards.
All the staff, from the lovely cleaner to both the managers, showed nothing but kindness and genuine care towards my dad and us, his family. When my dad was passing away, everyone went out of their way to make Dad comfortable and to help us through it. Nothing was too much trouble. The care shown to us all was wonderful. What really impressed me was the genuine sadness shown by all the staff members. This demonstrated to me that my dad was important to them and this, in turn, confirms that all at Martins House are committed to providing the highest quality of care.
We're sorry to hear about your loss. Our staff are incredibly humbled to hear that your experience at our care home was extremely positive. Thank you for your kind feedback and for sharing your experience of what we can only imagine would have been an incredibly emotional time for you. Thank you.
My Mum went into Martins House for a 21-day assessment following a number of falls and spending the best part of 3 months in hospital. The staff have been amazing, not only to my Mum but me too and I have had many a day when I struggled to cope in recent months but thankfully I can now rest easy knowing my Mum is safe, warm and loved when I'm not around to give her that reassuring hug when she needs it and I can sleep easy at night which I didn't most of last year. I also want to say a big thank you to one of the ladies who sadly isn't at Martins House now but without her strength and support, I don't know where my Mum and I would be right now probably back in Lister or worse. I will be forever thankful for that lady.
Incredible, thank you for leaving a very heartwarming review. We're very proud of our staff at Martins House. Though it would have been a very hard decision to leave mother with us, we're glad you know she's in safe hands. Wishing you the best. Thanks again.
