Dad moving into Heath Lodge has been overall a positive experience. Nursing staff were very quick to recognise dad's anxiety, which was causing an issue with him settling in. They sourced medication for this & are very good at communication regarding dad's health. There is little communication regarding social activities. Dad may not always choose to join in but could be encouraged if were aware of what goes on. The general cleanliness in the communal areas is very good, however Dad's bathroom is not cleaned to a good standard & frequently smells awful, I think it's the drain. This issue has been raised before. Care staff are very good in general but there are communication issues between staff & dad, which causes frustration. The family have found management & staff to be kind & attentive, we also understand dad's perception of events is not always as it seems.

My aunty was admitted here 9'weeks ago for end of life care. I chose this care home as near to me so could visit easily. All the staff, the nursing staff, care manager and deputy that I spoke to on every visit were caring and kind and compassionate. Nothing was too much trouble. The other residents are well cared for and immaculate. My aunty was washed and cared for until her passing on Friday. The home prepared me and gave me updates all the time. The staff are so kind and my aunty felt safe and comfortable was heartened by the kindness shown.

The standard of care at Heath Lodge is excellent. The staff consistently looked after my mother with kindness, care and attention to detail. The facilities are of a high level and my mother was satisfied with the care she received. I would recommend Heath Lodge without hesitation.
