My step dad is in this home and we can't thank them enough for all the work they do. He has been in 2 other homes and this is by far the best the respect and care they give is beautiful and so good all we could have asked for but 1 thing is he could have a little more stimulating things to keep him
awake in the daytime to help him sleep at night but thank you so much truly we are so happy and so is dad thanks.

In the further weeks mum has been in nothing your guys do is any good you lock her away but every time I down she's in bed and she's asked to go which is not fair on you keepers as there are further of them and lots to do what I see is the best house keeping and you guys are outstanding I have seen
the same problems when I have been in hospital and you all do a super job

Arriving at Heath Lodge to take some personal items for my partner who had earlier been transferred from hospital to the care home I was helped by two very helpful staff members.
This was due to me having difficulty to walk and carrying several bags.
I was impressed with the comfortable appearance
of my partner compared with the way she was permitted to stay at the hospital.

I would recommend this home (5 stars) to anyone to whom it may concern. About four weeks ago, my husband was transferred from hospital to a home providing palliative care. Heath Lodge was recommended to me and on visiting the accommodation, its facilities and its staff in all areas, including the kitchen,
I was pleasantly surprised at the calmness and cleanliness. Today I'm so grateful my husband is here.

Our overall view is that the care for Mum is very good and the looking after Mum is really nice, friendly, supportive, caring and at hand when we need to ask anything formative being able to approach the staff and nurses are all polite and respectful with us. To see Mum dressed, out in the lounge engaging
with others and keeping her mind active. Many thanks to everyone who works at Heath Lodge for your work and help with Mum and nighttime support.

My husband has been in the Rose unit for 2 weeks now after being transferred from the hospital. My husband has vascular dementia plus has a lot of other things going on. I got a very good, feeling when I first visited the unit. The staff go above and beyond helping you settle in, they are all so kind,
caring and very hardworking, I try and visit my husband most days and am always greeted with a lovely smile and asked if I would like a cup of tea and biscuit. My husband doesn't talk much but he seems very happy and content being here. Something else I noticed was the cleanliness of the unit. There is always a fresh smell there.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who are caring for my husband, you do a wonderful job, thank you.

Enjoyed my visit to see my brother today. I was made very welcome with a cup of tea and a biscuit. My brother appears to be well looked after and he seems happy. His room is always very tidy, clean, and neat. Thank you for your care.

Dad is to so well at Rose unit. He has settled lovely and is very happy. His key worker is lovely kind and very helpful. And understand my dad. Thank you all for your hard work. He has put weight on and I haven't seen him looking so well for at least 2 years.

I visited my brother for the first time today and found the centre to be very welcoming and staff overall friendly. My brother has had a little difficulty in settling in but I found him well, cheerful and very happy on my visit. I left him tucking into his roast chicken lunch in the dining room.

Prarthana Bhandari

Prarthana is a qualified nurse and has been working in nursing homes since 2010. She became Care Home Manager for Heath Lodge in December 2020 after working for 10 years as a Deputy Care Home Manager. She recently completed a Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management and is skilled in Nursing, Clinical Research, Dementia Care, Medicine, and Leadership.
