Every member of staff is helpful, polite, cheerful and kind. There is a calm atmosphere and all facilities are clean and tidy. I felt well-looked after as a visitor, and could see that my next of kin's needs and requests were being met. It is reassuring to meet members of the rehabilitation team and to be included in the care plan. Thanks to all the staff.

My mother-in-law is very frail and unwell, The care she is receiving is excellent. The staff are caring and compassionate, treating her with comfort and dignity.

They keep us informed and reassure us when we are able to visit. Living some distance away, we can relax knowing she is safe.

Overall Experience

The first time I came to visit the unit, all the staff were very warm-hearted. I have noticed that this is just the way they are, no pretence attitude. The kitchen staff go out of their way to prepare meals, and even when my grandad could not swallow properly, they made sure they changed his food to a different level so he could eat the food. The nurses were very prompt in the care, and I found it very overwhelming to see the love shown. The assistance was very good from the beginning to the end, and going through a rough time in knowing my grandad was in his last stages of life, I knew he was in a safe place. Thank you very much, team.

My sister came on Wednesday and was greeted warmly by the staff. The place is lively, with loads of activities to keep residents occupied. I wish she was moved here initially rather than moving pillar to post. the building is secure with a lovely garden, fantastic! No complaints. Room large, own toilet. I don't know cost as she is here on respite but a great place to recover.

My mum was in Charlton Park Care Home ans was so well looked after by all the care nurses and staff, it was always a pleasure meeting one member of staff in particular who was a pleasure to speak too. Then my mum peacefully passed away and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Admin that her gold ring was carefully put away, which I was totally unaware of, such honesty is so remarkable. So pleased with this care home. My love to all the staff and fabulous admin office.

My wife was transferred to Charlton Park Care Home from hospital. She was only in the care home for 36 hours before my dear wife passed away. In that time they washed her hair, which they had not done in 3 months at hospital. As a result of this and the care received I decided to volunteer at the Care Home and have been here since 2018 6 years.

Our father has been treated with kindness, respect, dignity and amazing care. Every member of staff, cleaners, laundry, admin, carers, nursing staff, doctors, cooks, management have been fantastic. We have no complaints at all - they all treat our dad with kindness and respect at all times and they always let our dad keep his dignity, which is so important to dad. We would like to thank everyone for looking after our dad. We were so worried about leaving him but you have taken that worry away and we know hes in safe hands. Thank you all.

Charlton Park Care Home provided long term care and support for our relative and as he became more and more bedbound. The staff always went the extra mile to ensure he was comfortable and receiving best of care. The manager leads while tea in a very skillful and professional manner and this approach permeates to all staff who are dedicated and go beyond the call of duty. On all visits to the home, staff are always attentive and prepared to assisted in any way. We would have no hesitation on recommending Charlton Park to others. We were absolutely delighted that the manager and staff attended to the funeral of our dad and sent flower tribute on the day. Thank you.

Just to say I'm happy with the care and attention my mother receives at this care home as the staff go above and beyond expectations to make sure my mum is comfortable throughout her stay. Especially grateful to one member of care staff who is very kind and caring towards myself and my mum, as is one member of the senior staff. If any issues and I deal with them directly. I must say, I've raised the issue of toiletry items being taken from my mother's room and not returned without any explanation, I put my mum's name and room number on these items, but yet a few things have been 'lost', I raised the complaint with staff and they replaced said items. Although wasn't of great value, it's the principle and shameful that maybe some agency or night staff can't be trusted, I've reported this to be looked into. My review is about the care given by two members of staff, in particular, for which I'm truly grateful.

I am so thankful to all the wonderful care staff who have looked after Mum so well during her temporary stay here. It has been a lovely experience to visit Mum in this happy, joyful home, where no request has been any trouble for the staff who respond so helpfully. I only wish my mum could stay as she has thrived in this happy environment. I am impressed with the professionalism and caring of the staff, who are so dedicated to the residents. Most staff are generally helpful and friendly. However difficulty with incorrect administration of medication by agency nurses, big delays in getting them to arrange GP support when requested, and no changes made as requested since care meeting.
