Kingfisher House Care Home

I am very pleased with the care my brother has received. The staff appear to be kind helpful and keep us well informed. We receive a lovely greeting when we arrive and for the time we are there they make us very welcome. It seems that most of the events are scheduled for week days and as we only visit at weekends can't comment on these however from the pictures on social media they seem enjoyable. Many Thanks.

I have found the home very caring for my mum . She is treated with kindness and always treated as an individual. The food is lovely and all the staff have been lovely . In particular Anna has always been kind and attentive to my mum . Even chatting and helping her when she is coming or going from shift so effectively in her own time . Care workers do not get the credit they deserve for the amazing job they do . Many thanks

In some cases, there are not enough care staff to be fully functional for the care of some patients. I have found that some care staff do not check if a patient in their care has deficated/soiled the disposable pants (not nice to be sitting in dirty underware as it can cause sores on the bottom and not a nice odour either. Some like to choose what they want to wear, but often do not get the choice.

This review is based on what I or my wife have experienced, not my mother therefore it represents an opinion from outsider looking in not a residents experience.

My wife has been a resident since October 2025. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are very caring.

Kingfisher House is an amazing place. I cannot find fault at all. My mum has lived here for 18 months and is happy, well cared for, treated with respect and compassion. I was impressed when I first met the manager, Alastair, and he came to visit my mum in her old home. He understood her communication difficulties and it was clear he understood well that this was not a measure of her intelligence. I have seen the culture of treating all residents by all staff as individuals, and I cannot explain how important that is to me. Thank you.

For past six months, my partner has been a resident at the above nursing home and has had end of life care.

My mothers stay at Kingfisher House was sadly short but throughout her stay I could not fault the way she was cared for. She was looked after with dignity and respect despite being extremely poorly. During the final hours of her life, when I was with her throughout. The care, empathy and professionalism from the team both during the day and night was exemplary and I am personally very grateful to everyone who looked after her.

In conclusion Kingfisher home is amazing.

I am very happy with all the support and care we're getting from this place. The carers and everyone is very helpful. He is enjoying the activities very much as well.

The staff are wonderful, but at weekends they find it difficult to find help if they need it.

Whenever I have visited my dad, I have always been greeted so happily from staff. Very happy with Dad's care. He has only been here for a few weeks but has settled in well. We love going to the activities together.

Lots of great activities, very friendly staff and everyone is very caring. We feel lucky to find a home this nice for Dad.

The service and entertainment my Dad gets from Kingfisher House is excellent.

Mum has been a resdent for 5+ years and this is testament to the excellent care, support and entertainment provided by the whole team at Kingfisher.

Dad has received excellent care since moving to Kingfisher House. The staff are friendly and attentive and tend to his every need, which is evident in how happy he is. A varied range of activities keep him engaged, led by an excellent activities co-ordinator. Communications from the home is excellent and the manager leads his team well. Overall we are more than happy with the care experience.
