My son moved to St Marys on the 12th July 2024, at first I visited everyday. I have reduced this to 4 days per week.
This reduction is due to his settle in so well, and being so happy. The biggest problem to us both is my hearing problems and his speech difficulties. His has got worse. I enjoy every
visit and see sadness, happiness and love each time thank you. I apologise for my writing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. Please do let us know if there is anything we can do to facilitate better communication between you and your son so that your visits are the best they can be. Best wishes, HM

Review of

St Mary's Court Care Home

from Jeff M (Brother of Resident) published on 22 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I am the brother of a resident, and have visited him at St Mary's since he was first taken in as a resident.
I want to say that I am very grateful that he was one of your patients, as I found St Mary's the perfect place for him to be, bearing in mind his age and infirmity.
Your staff are to be commended
for their caring and sympathetic attitude to those in their care. They all seem to go about their duties cheerfully, with patience which reflects very well on your selection and training for what is an unenviable task.
The home itself has always been clean and welcoming. The receptionist is a great asset to your staff, as she is the front line, as it were and the first person to greet you as you enter the building. Her welcoming smile sets the scene for the rest of the visits, and I cannot speak more highly of her, than to tell you, that her welcome is always bright and cheerful.
The office staff, one in particular, have always shown concern and professionalism in their dealings with concerned relatives. They have all been excellent in their care and compassion.
St Mary's is always clean, and this includes all the patients rooms, even their toilet facilities. This does your company great credit.
Suffice it to say, that should the time come, when I need such attention. St Mary's is the place I would choose.
Thank you very much indeed for looking after my brother so well. We will miss all of you now he has passed.

Mum settled into The New Deanery really quickly; she liked the caring staff and understood that they were there for her, day and night.
She was made to feel very welcome and was keen to tell me how friendly they all were. During the first week, Mum was seen by the district nurse (regarding underlying
health conditions); the chiropodist & had her first bath in over 5 years and visited the hairdresser!
Mum was gently encouraged to partake in some of the daily activity sessions, and this is where we find her most mornings, when we visit. She no longer says she is 'bored' or 'fed up'! I feel she is safe and well looked after.

My father spent just under a year at St Mary's Court Care Home and the nursing care support he was given was excellent.
The team at the home made his stay very enjoyable and his medical treatment ensured that he was comfortable initially through stabilising his condition to his passing.
The staff
was so friendly and engaging taking time to socialise with him during his stay and us during visits.
Communication throughout was clear and timely both in terms of his medical support and funding.
Out whole experience with St Mary's Court has made what could have been a very difficult time, a lot more pleasant and manageable and my father and ourselves could not have asked for more.

My sister has lived at St Mary's Court for 17 months. I visit her regular and find all the staff kind and caring. She enjoys all the activities and joins in. She loves having her hair done once a week by the hairdresser who is lovely. She recently returned from hospital and was so happy to be back home.

Since my involvement from November 24th to date, I was more than pleased with the kind and attentive help and guidance given to me by all your staff. Having been introduced to several of staff and a comprehensive tour I was more than pleased that we had decided on The New Deanery for my relative's onward
care. It was a relief to have greetings given by all staff on visiting and to be called by Christian name.

My mother was settled in well after living independently until she was 90 years old. The care home staff have been loving and welcoming and have helped settle her in. Particular praise should be given to the events coordinator and the lady who oversees meals and drinks. The home is clean and the rooms
are lovely, with an outdoor space. Just what my mum needed. Monthly fees change which makes managing challenging.

My Mum moved into The New Deanery approximately 10 weeks ago, this has changed her life as living at home she was very lonely. She now has so much to do all the time, she attends activities every day, there is always something going on, and she has made friends and enjoys time with them. The staff are
all very professional and very caring. The family is kept informed about health and well-being. Mum receives excellent care. The food is lovely. The home is clean and tidy. Mum's room is lovely and she is very happy.

My husband has now been at St Mary's Court Care Home for a year now. I am still so impressed of the high level of care we have always received. The senior staff are very attentive and very much on the ball, while all the carers are so kind, patient and supportive, I always enjoy my visits at St Mary's
and feel it's becoming my second home. I know my husband is well looked after, happy and safe. So glad we have found St Mary's.

I was visiting my friend last month, who is a resident at The New Deanery Care Home. This is my third visit so far and I must say how incredible the staff are, the homes manager is an extremely lovely person who will do anything she possibly can to accommodate your needs. The senior carers are also
all very kind and hard-working. This home is an incredible place to spend time and my dearest friend is overjoyed with the service she receives. The New Deanery is surrounded by impeccably stunning grounds that are kept well maintained by a very friendly and polite young man. I will be recommending the home to any family or friends that are looking for exceptional service.

My lovely mum has recently moved into The New Deanery. On the first day when we arrived, mum had such a warm welcome. We absolutely love it that mum is just up the road from us now. My daughter and I love to come and visit mum. The environment is beautiful, the gardens are stunning with established
trees and beautiful peacocks. The staff are all so nice, so kind and helpful. When we arrived to see mum she looked so cared for, she'd had her hair cut and blow dried. We are so happy with everything.

Moving our mother to Peverel Green was the best decision we made. The staff understand our mother and care for her accordingly. The food is excellent, and she really enjoys the roasts! She doesn't always take in the choices placed before her, so the staff have provided a pictorial menu, but she loves
mushrooms, onions, and garlic the chef has been adding there. I have chosen to tick the boxes as excellent because Peverel Green is very good across the board of care.
