My mother in law seems very happy, and content. Staff are lovely, every thing is clean, rooms are spacious, light, and have made Mums room, homely with familier things, access to garden is great, & safe. Entertainment, barbecues, craft. The care home have made residents a special place, where they can be well looked after, with photos on there doors, saying what they were and what they use to do, is great too

From the moment I entered Sycamore Court to check if my son, who had advanced parkinsons disease, would be happy there, I was impressed by the welcome I was given. He has now been there for two and a half years and has developed cancer. In the whole of that time he has had exemplary care. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. When I visit, I am greeted as a friend. The facilities are first class.

One of the best nursing/ Care homes I have ever seen. From the minute I walked in I knew that this was the one for my friend. Professional friendly staff to greet us. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean and spacious with tv and own shower/wc facilities . Food absolutely delicious.. brilliant talented chefs .. personal requests taken from residents daily by the staff for their own choice of menu on all three meals. Care staff and nurses have all been amazing ..professional.. kind.. caring..considerate .. compassionate and understanding. Always supporting and acting in the best interest of the residents. Office and managerial staff very friendly.. always available and on hand with any queries. Even cleaning staff are superb and regularly interact with residents .. visitors.. friends and family. And as for entertainment.. this is fantastic..something everyday for the residents.. entertainers interacting with patients in such a caring manner. Overall everything fantastic.

Lovely home. Staff are very caring, rooms are modern, and the food is lovely. Lovely grounds and visitors are made very welcome. They regularly hold events for the residents, and friends and relatives are always welcome.

Like a location within a Ken Loach film, Sycamore Court is a testament to Humanity in which positive and beautiful outcomes can be achieved when organisational excellence creates an Enlightened Safe Home.

Lovely Country and Western party at Sycamore Court today. All the staff enthusiastically interacted with residents and guests. The chef provided a good barbecue with a tasty range of alternatives to traditional beefburgers, plus some delicious desserts. Great to see so many smiles.

I feel the new manager listened to me and did a new care plan for my husband. He has so many health problems, but I feel all the staff understand his needs. He is well looked after, and they keep him comfortable.

Unfortunately after a lengthy hospital stay, I was struggling to cope with the care of my husband, so reluctantly under advice by adult social services, it was necessary and in our best interest to admit him to a nursing home. The staff at Sycamore Court have been excellent at caring for him and helping to cope, and feel both happy and secure about handing over the care of my husband to someone else. Everyone at the home have been brilliant at helping me deal with this, settling my husband and he's very content.

Dad was admitted in April as an emergency under best interests by adult social services following a recent hospital stay, discharge to home and mum's struggle to care for him due to increased medical issues. The staff at the home were excellent, caring & compassionate throughout the whole process of admission at this difficult time. They have made the transition and dad's settling in a really good experience for dad and the whole family. Communication with us and care for dad has been consistent and excellent.

What I'd like to see is a simple way to take him (or anyone) out of the Home through the gate directly to Bear Road, eg. to go upto the Racecourse, without having to go all round Fitzherbert. That is a long wheelchair drive or push with an extra big climb.

As always I have nothing but praise for the management and all staff at Sycamore Court. The care given to residents is first class and they are treated with dignity and respect. Under the head chef, the food is marvelous with a large range of choices. The building is light, bright and very well maintained and the residents are encouraged to enjoy a range of activities both collectively and personally in their rooms.

Mums transition to the home from hospital was well managed and helped through the flexibility and thoroughness of the home manager.

My only reservations are the maintenance have not put my mum's pictures up and they could maybe take the residents outside more, but this is nothing compared to the relief I feel to see my mum so well presented, happy and peaceful. I love the place and thank all the staff for the work they do. I am so happy my mum is there. I can't imagine anywhere better. I don't have to worry about her constantly anymore. That is priceless. Thank you to everyone who works there from the bottom of my heart.

I have found Sycamore Court to be pleasant surroundings, clean and nicely decorated (even the toilets on the first floor are nice) the staff are always kind and friendly, as far as I experienced. The lady I visit seems peaceful and comfortable and enjoys the activities and the seating areas, where she can watch people go by. The signing in process is safe and easy to do.

My mother in law is very well cared for. Everybody is very friendly. It's spotlessly clean. My mother in law can be quite hard work but it's no trouble for the staff there. If I've got any questions there is always someone to help me.

Having visited Partridge House in the past to visit a friend, I knew how lovely it was there. Spacious, clean, and light, beautiful gardens. So when I needed respite for my husband I had no doubt at all that this place would suit him perfectly. He loved the staff and actually helped them do small chores, which kept him amused. Having purpose. I will certainly use again for regular respite if I get funding in place.

Great staff, so helpful. I don't get to visit very often as I live 300+ miles away but when I do visit I am always made very welcome. My brother is largely bed-bound and can be a real challenge, as mentally he is still very active and can be equally vocal. Despite my brother's demanding nature, the staff continue to smile and assist him in any way they can - they deserve medals!

Mum has been a resident of Sycamore Court for almost 4 years now and whilst I have a moan now and then I have nothing but praise for how the staff look after mum and management deal with any thought or queries I may have.

The staff aways greet you by name they are so friendly and genuinely care with kindness in dealing with mum's dementia in the best way they can which I know can be difficult sometimes, especially, as she is immobile and can no longer make herself understood.

I visit daily so I see how this care applies to all residents and as a visitor they have supported me fully and always willing to listen to me and answer any questions I may have.

The food is excellent and varied and there are choices.

Activities have improved greatly over the last few years and all are encouraged to join in with sessions twice daily.

I and the family are very happy that mum is living in a very caring environment, thank you.
