Just spoken to Ron to see how the trip went the first thing he said was how brilliant all the girls were, they had everything under control so the girls made sure they were looked after so had a lovely time, and the food was really good too, that was so nice for me to hear Julie, he also said he realised he wasn't as capable of doing things for himself that's why he appreciated the way the girls looked after them so well. That was great it showed how safe he felt with them. Do thank Sarah, Theresa, Lisa, for us Julie for taking care of my precious cargo!

But overall a good experience when visiting

We are so grateful to Lynwood Care Home for the excellent care that our Mother Gillian received during her period of respite for 4 weeks. From the moment Gillian arrived , she was treated with kindness , dignity and genuine compassion.

All of the staff were caring , attentive and patient , and they really took time to make sure Gillian felt comfortable , and safe. It was particularly reassuring for myself as I was away on holiday during the first 2 weeks of her respite.

The standard of care was excellent , all of the nurses and carers ensured that Gillians stay was a positive and comfortable experience . We really appreciated the warmth that was shown towards her.

I would highly recommend this care home to other families looking for excellent respite care.

Very disappointing and not the standard of communication I would expect from a care home entrusted with someone's care.

My parents moved to Hungerford Care Home in June 26. It was a huge change for them but the staff have done so much to help them settle. It was all new to me too and so difficult to leave mum and dad at first, but the management are approachable if you have concerns. The carers are warm, hard working, happy and totally dedicated to the residents. They quickly got to know my mum and dad and understand their needs. The home itself is spacious. clean and very comfortable. I'm relieved that my parents are now safe and so well supported, emotionally and physically.

Sylvia, my wife spent 2 weeks respite care at Lynwood Care Centre. During that time she found the staff courteous, attentive, helpful and friendly. They always managed to meet her specific requirements particular to her varying care needs. Additionally Sylvia found the inhouse physiotherapy team to be highly professional and proficient. This was both in the gym and in the operational hydrotherapy pool. As a result of Sylvia's experience we are now planning her next stay at Lynwood Care Centre.

Due to the age and nature of the building, it is always going to be a compromise. The current owners of the Nursing Home are making good progress with updating the look and feel of the building and with remedial work but it will not present like new build homes. The staff are lovely, make both residents and visitors feel comfortable and the care staff do a wonderful job. The catering has improved hugely, and the gardener is fantastic + much appreciated by all visitors and residents.

We came to see Peter yesterday afternoon he doing so well it's so nice to have a laugh with him all your stafff do a wonderful job looking after everyone they always say hello when we come and make us very welcome from Kim

Mum has been warmly welcomed and has a beautiful sunny room. Everyone has been kind and caring and helped her and the family settle in so well. She is enjoying the home, gardens and cafe and everyone here has helped her during this transition. I would recommend Lynwood and its team in a heartbeat. Thank you.

My twin brother was admitted last week after some lengthy hospital stays. The CC Manager and head of nursing were very helpful upon assessment. He is looking 100% better already and is receiving great care by the nurses and care staff. On my first visit I was made to feel welcome offered refreshments, home felt homely would definitely recommend.

She is now in the dementia unit and although she can not express how she feels, you can see a difference in her. This is from her appearance, her mood and how she looks. She is clean, happy and well cared for. She is loving the activities, especially when the pony and dog comes into the home. She loves the food and the staff so thank you to you all.

My mother has been in Hungerford Care Home for almost 15 months now. Every time I visit, all the staff, without exception, are super friendly and caring, and it puts my mind at rest that Mum is being cared for both professionally and compassionately, in a safe environment.

As for me, I am made so welcome on my visits, and the staff and management team are very ready to listen and share.

The level of care is excellent. Staff are friendly and upbeat. The home is clean and has undergone some renovation of the hallway floors. Food is average. I live abroad and find it a little difficult with updates on my mum's health and wellbeing. I wish there was better communication.

My wife Lorena has been resident in Lynwood for more than 3 years (since December 2022). I chose Lynwood based on previous knowledge and experience of a friend. A particular benefit to her has been the in-house physiotherapy and the entertainments. The building is light and bright with an open aspect and the garden area is a great pleasure as are other shared space. In our experience the management team has been responsive to any concerns and the care staff have given Lorena loving care and treat me as a friend.

Staff are always very welcome and answer any questions. Took mum to the bistro/cafe this morning, made to feel welcome, mum has come along wonderfully in the few weeks she has been here.

We cannot thank the team at Hungerford Care Home enough for the exceptional care, kindness and friendship they showed our dear Dad during the 10 very challenging months he spent with them.

At every level, the staff went above and beyond - not only providing excellent medical and personal care, but also taking the time to chat with Dad, get to know him, and treat him with genuine warmth, dignity, and respect. Those small, human moments meant everything to him and to us as a family.

We will always be deeply grateful for the dedication, humanity, and kindness shown to our Dad.

Hungerford Care Home is a truly special place, run by people who clearly care from the heart.
