My father has recently moved into Hungerford Care Home & has settled in well. He has been welcomed by all staff & treated with kindness, dignity and respect. The care he receives is amazing, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The activities held at the home are varied and well thought out,
something for everyone! As a family, we are all warmly welcomed and pleased that our father is in such a lovely home.

I was very impressed how quickly the manager arranged for my husband's admission to Hungerford Care Home from hospital after his stroke. Despite being confined to a wheelchair, he has settled in very well and enjoys being with others in the lounge and how particular the excellent activities that are
organised for all to enjoy. The staff are very friendly and caring, and despite his dementia & Alzheimer's, very accommodating and understanding to all his needs.
I am welcome to visit at any time, and he is lucky enough to have a lovely room overlooking the garden which is kept very neat & tidy. I would recommend Hungerford Care Home to all.

Very pleased how staff deal with mum and other residents on day to day basis. Whether it's just having a giggle or sitting with a resident who is having a 'bad day' , and the phenomenally fast response to a resident who has had an accident ! The staff are incredibly patient friendly and caring. Can't
thank them enough fir the job they are doing

I have really been impressed by the care and friendlyness that I have observed by all members of staff, both carers and management at the home. This care home is set in the beautiful countryside and the old manor house has been converted into comfortable care home, with nursing facilities and wonderful
lounges + dining facilities.

A stress free move for my Grandparents in law, with lots of support and reassurance from the friendly attentive staff at the care home they have settled in well. A real home from home, clean and tidy, the rooms are decorated nicely with nice furniture in place. Good home cooked food, a warm comfortable
place to call home.
The experience of looking around with the manager and having everything explained so we understood how it all worked and what to do put us at ease.
The care team are friendly and always have a smile, seeing our much loved family members looking clean, comfortable, warm and well fed reassured us that we made the right decision.

My father had been there for quite some time. He suffered with dementia and could be quite challenging. The staff were just wonderful and I could see his continued improvement which gave me such relief and confidence in his stay.
Sadly Dad had a stroke and was initially in hospital. However, I asked
if it was possible for him to return to Hungerford Care home to spend his last days there.
In his last days, the staff were completely marvellous and supported our whole family which was wonderful.
I would, without doubt, recommend Hungerford Care Home for anyone having to make this hard decision for their loved ones.

Hungerford Care Home is an Amazing place for anyone needing care.
My Aunt was given 11 weeks to live and she has just passed away, after 6 years of excellent care.
The staff are friendly and accommodating. They treat the residents with utmost respect and care and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble.
The
activities are varied and tailored to residents' needs and abilities. Food is excellent and housekeeping is too. All staff go above and beyond for their residents. More like a big family. We couldn't have asked for better these last 6 years. We are very grateful.

Our family couldn't be happier with the care our mum receives at Hungerford.
Everyone is so friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble. When we visit on a Saturday we are always offered a tea or coffee.
They organise so many activities for the residents to enjoy. They have had afternoon
tea, pancake making, singing, games and gardening to name a few.
If mum is ever unwell we always get a call to let us know and they keep us informed of any changes.
We would highly recommend Hungerford if you are looking for a care home. The gardens are beautiful, overlooking fields and deer and pheasants can often be seen. There is secure entry so the residents are safe.

Cold and not welcome feeling. Ward is clinical and homely warm, and functional.
Staff are good and kind but restrictions are on them from Management.
The Management team is less than functional and doesn't care or try to accommodate the needs of the patient. Badly managed by a cold team that doesn't
listen to the family or the patient. Would never recommend this Care facility.

I can't say enough good things about Hungerford Care Home and the incredible care my mom has been receiving there. From the very first day, it's been clear that her safety and well-being are top priorities for everyone there. The staff here are simply amazing. They're always attentive and genuinely
caring, making sure my mom feels comfortable and secure. It's such a relief knowing she's in a place where people truly care about her.
The staff take the time to get to know her, understanding her likes and dislikes, and they always have a friendly word or a smile for her. It's these little touches that make such a big difference.
The care home is surrounded by beautiful, well-maintained gardens that provide a peaceful and relaxing environment. My mom enjoys sitting in the garden enjoying the fresh air and scenery.
Knowing that my mom is safe, well-cared for, and happy gives me such peace of mind.
Huge thanks to all the staff for making my mom feel at home and loved.

My first visit to Lynwood Care Home was an easy decision to make and I would not have to visit other care homes. Management greeted me well and showed me around the building which was perfect for my wife's care, and very clean. The rooms and bathroom were perfect. I was impressed with the visitor's
rooms which are very private. The staff are very caring and well trained, My wife is very happy with her care.

My mum has been a resident in the Dementia Unit for 18 months. She receives the most amazing, considerate and respectful care with dignity. All of the staff are incredible and treat my mum as family. The home has improved recently with new furniture and the gardens are gorgeous. The residents are all
included in daily activities and encouraged to be as independent as possible. I'm so grateful for the care and dignity given to my mum, thank you.

Under the new manager, the care home has been hugely uplifted in all areas. Staff have always been great, but now it appears even better with high standards of care and attention. My relative has always been happy here and I feel more at ease too with the more recent community feeling that there is
now.
Entertainment/daily activities are very good and everyone is included. Cleanliness is at a good standard.
With regular relative meetings, we know what's been happening behind the scenes and what's ahead and they are very open to suggestions.
It has a great feel to the home and nothing is too much trouble to put your mind at ease.
Would recommend anyone to take a look around to see for themselves.

My husband has some challenging behaviour but the care teams have been exemplary in their handling of him. From personal to clinical care he could not have had better. Including his social mores of playing the guitar, albeit airplay! Thank you everyone.

Lynwood's care for Mum was always good. The staff dealt with Mum's care in a professional manner. They showed her respect and love. They met her physical needs and within the time allowed to them, also her mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Some of the long-term staff became her 'friends and family'
for which both she and I were grateful. They were also always kind and welcoming to my dad when he visited Mum. He became an 'honorary' resident - cups of tea and a plate of food always available for him, and staff looking after him as he became increasingly forgetful and confused.
My only criticism of Lynwood is the admin. At times the admin at Lynwood was rather chaotic, leading to confusion and requiring us to expend too much time chasing and checking bills etc.
Reply from Nicola Hall, Care Centre Manager at Lynwood Care Centre

Thank you for your feedback, I know the team cared very much for your mum and looked forward to your dad visiting too, he was indeed part of the family too. Thank you for raising your concern about the facility of invoicing, I will review and discuss this with the financial team.
