Murrayfield Care Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Murrayfield has provided great support to my relative since he entered the home in 2022. There is always an atmosphere of love and friendliness, and the level of care that is provided by the carers and nurses is always heightened by the compassion, love and respect that they show to both the residents
and visitors. They listen well to concerns and treat each resident as an individual, and allow them as much autonomy as they can (depending on each person's capability). They communicate any issues promptly and always seem to value my input. I feel my relative is safe in their care. This is very important as his needs are very high. Whenever I visit, he is generally clean, well-fed and content. I am so grateful.

I would like to extend my recognition to all the staff at Beachcroft care home based in London W2. For nearly 10+ years, my Gran has been in the care of this home. My Gran suffers with Dementia, she can at times be a joy, but at other times her behaviour can be challenging.
However, the staff have
maintained to be hardworking, kind, caring and at times amazingly patient. Also, the staff can only behave in this manner because there is good management in place.
I would like to express my gratitude, and I am thankful to all the carers for their support. Once again, I am appreciative of the care and commitment of the whole team.
Once again, thank you so much for the continued support of Beachcroft House Care Home. I am grateful to you and all the staff at Beachcroft Care Home.

Beachcroft House Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mother was moved to Beachcroft House due to mobility issues and and she could not have been in a better place. The Manager and Staff made sure her room had all the right equipment for her needs before she arrived. The staff treat residents with dignity and kindness and the atmosphere is fun and positive. They
genuinely care about the residents happiness and want them to feel like they are family. Two very special people, Adeola and Mary went above and beyond and treated Mum as if she was their own Mother. They made her feel at home and they regularly kept us updated on her health which we very important to us. We never worried about her safety or comfort as we knew she was in good hands.
Sadly my Mother passed away but the greatest comfort we had was that both Adeola and Mary were with her when she left this world as she loved them both. We are eternally grateful to them and to Beachcroft for being a loving home for my Mother in the last few months of her life.

Never did I think that I would speak so highly of a nursing home. That was until a member of my family was placed at Hillside. The staff are guided by a truly remarkable manager and everyone is treated like family, whether you are a resident, employee or a visitor. Your family are treated with the same
love as they would offer their own family. It's a very special place.

To hear that your experience has changed your perception in such a positive way is incredibly special. We care deeply about creating a home where residents, families and visitors all feel valued, respected and genuinely cared for, so it's wonderful to know that this has come through.

Your comments about the team and the atmosphere within the home mean so much to us all. Thank you again for taking the time to share this, it is truly appreciated.

The staff at Burrows House are extremely friendly and care for my aunt with exceptional kindness, understanding and attention. They go above and beyond to support their residents and to engage them in uplifting and inspiring activities. The highlight of my visit today was a St Patrick's Day party, where
all of the residents were involved and the staff expended endless amounts of energy to make the occasion a wonderful event for everyone present. But perhaps most importantly, in spite of all my aunt's frailties she feels safe, secure and happy there.
Reply from Maryam Timamy, General Manager at Burrows HouseThank you for sharing such a lovely review. It's wonderful to hear how well your Aunt is cared for and that she feels safe, happy and supported at Burrows House.
We're so pleased you were able to join the St Patrick's Day celebrations, it was a fantastic day and a great example of how much thought and energy the team put into creating meaningful moments for our wonderful residents. It's always even more special when family and friends can be part of those occasions too.
Your kind words about our team's care and support mean a great deal to us all here. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

Today I visited Carolina, residing at room 52. It was 15:07 when I arrived and I found her at the lounge, half way through pants down, soiled, dirty and left sleeping unwashed. I immediately called the attention of 1 women who's said the she's all alone and cannot clean her. She has to deal with loads
today and there's no staff. Mind you, I don't go on normal days and I go on random days and this has always been the response to me every time I see others unattended. This time it was Carolina being ignored. She must've fallen asleep waiting for help. Luckily I was there otherwise it might've been hours till she's seen. I even offered to clean her up myself if no one wanted to but another lady came and sent her back to her room and wash. Before she washed her she told me that Carolina has been spitting and hurting them and that one staff was injured because of her. I asked how come she can do this? She's 83 fragile, can't walk and stand properly to hit someone. This is not good.

Sad to say the level of care was absolutely appalling and the room was awful dad walked talked and was self caring he just needed a bit of guidance. This was like a military operation, I got there they gave him a shaved head he is a man that always loved his mid length hair, we were not even consulted
, he was the given mild sedation to settle him in as he was not sleeping within 2 days he could not walk could not eat and they put pads on him that upset him so much day 5 he was in hospital with a severe infection , he is now in a new home, walks talks and no pads self caring , he is now the person he was before he got there. I felt quite intimidated when I tried to ask questions in the office I had 4 people at me a absolute disgrace

I arrived at the facility at 12.30 pm on Friday 20th February 2026 to visit my Stepmother whom I visit every few months as I live away from London. I was led to her room by a member of staff who was very polite. My Stepmother told me that she was very happy at the "House", and she had everything she
needed. Her room was very clean and whilst visiting a member of staff brought her lunch and later a desert.
I had a chat with The General Manager in his office, who was very impressive and informative and was well versed as to the mental health situation of my Stepmother.
Generally, I was very happy of her care in the facility.
Reply from Emmanuel Torsoo, Home Manager at Alan Morkill HouseThank you for taking the time to share your visit to Alan Morkill House. It's really reassuring to hear that your stepmother feels happy and settled, and that she feels she has everything she needs.

We're pleased that you felt welcomed by the team and that your visit gave you a chance to see how well she is being cared for. Knowing families leave feeling reassured means a lot to us.

Thank you once again for your kind feedback.

Best wishes,
Emmanuel
