My aunt has resided at Drayton Village for a few days only, but I felt compelled to write something about the warm heartfelt welcome she has received. her nurse and the staff have been empathetic to her needs and enabled the transition to be a lovely, positive experience for my aunt and us, as her
family. They have taken the time to listen to us and are actively getting to know my aunt as a person. My mother in particular was anxious about her sisters care but she is happy knowing that she is in caring hands. I can't thank the manager and his staff enough.

Reply from Matthew, Home Manager at Drayton Village Care Centre

Thank you so much for these kind words. My team and I do our best to make the transition of moving into our home as smooth as possible, and I am delighted that we were able to demonstrate this to you all. Warmest regards

My nan was admitted to the care home yesterday and she had such a warm welcome. she was greeted with a much needed cup of tea and cake The staff all introduced themselves and made us feel welcome during a time which was of course quite stressful for a lady with dementia. Day 1 and I can already see
a positive change in my nan.

Mum was there for 8 months following a diagnosis of dementia. She had been bed ridden at home for 2.5 years before this, with carer visits 4 times daily. At the home she received 24 hour care from carers and nurses. This made her calmer and happier for the last few months of her life, which her family
really loved. The home really understood her culinary needs and catered really well as she also had throat cancer and could only eat mashed up food. Staff were always friendly and helpful with any enquiries or problems we had.

I visited my sister who is a service user at Beachcroft l
I visit many care homes as part of my occupation as a fire safety consultant and can compare Beachcroft with many other care homes within the UK.
Beachcroft is exceptional for the standards of love, care and attention which is delivered by
all the staff.
Firstly, I am very impressed by the fire and security standards within this recently built care home.
On arrival I was made feel very welcome by the receptionist who indicated in signing in process on th pad at the entrance.
I met with my sister who was looking very well and relaxed and talkative , her room was clean and well maintained.
My sister appeared happy and content with the freedom to wander around within this beautiful and spaciously safe environment
I met with the Registered Home Manager the during my visit and previous visits and found her to be very compentent with a kind and caring attitude and ensures all service users are given lots of love.

Overall excellent, helpful, postive, professional. Food marginally better than hospital food and always available when requested. Staff amazing, room nice, a little larger would be nice but cosy as is. Love the fact of therapy dogs and of being able to have my own dog visit. In general as health dictates
I need a care home environment, I would not wish to move anywhere else.

My mum was in Charlton Park Care Home ans was so well looked after by all the care nurses and staff, it was always a pleasure meeting one member of staff in particular who was a pleasure to speak too. Then my mum peacefully passed away and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Admin
that her gold ring was carefully put away, which I was totally unaware of, such honesty is so remarkable. So pleased with this care home. My love to all the staff and fabulous admin office.

My wife was transferred to Charlton Park Care Home from hospital. She was only in the care home for 36 hours before my dear wife passed away. In that time they washed her hair, which they had not done in 3 months at hospital. As a result of this and the care received I decided to volunteer at the Care
Home and have been here since 2018 6 years.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was in palliative care at St Davids for 6 weeks and we are very grateful for the care that was provided to her and the consideration given to us as her family.
Dignity and Cleanliness was impressive, a family friend who runs carehomes visited my mother and was also complimentary with cleanliness
of St Davids. It was evident that my mother was well cared for and cleaned regularly with pads being changed on a regular basis.
Staff were very calm and considerate to deal with which helped in our experience as a family. Further my mother took positively to the nursing and care staff.
Overall site is tranquil and cosy. My mother felt at home as soon as she was admitted to St Davids.

The care home is excellent, with high standards throughout. This shows in the quality of food, the cleanliness and the overall quality of the facilities. The standards are high across the board, but the main factor is the quality of the staff- they really understand their jobs and take pride in their
work. The activities are varied, and I was amazed by the quality of music and singing when I visited my aunt..

Kingston Care Home

from Kim T (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mum came to live at Kingston Care Home in 2020. Due to Covid, and the lockdown she didn't settle too well, but she was suffering from dementia and had been in the same home looking after herself for many years. However the staff were amazing and made her feel as welcome and as loved and cared for
as they could and she soon seemed to settle. My sister and I were thankful that our mum was being given the 24/7 care she needed and we cannot fault the help that she was given and the communication we had in helping to decide what sort of care was appropriate at each stage. Unfortunately, mum died in February, and my sister and I didn't get there in time to be with her however one of the carers held her hand in those final moments so she was not on her own.
Many thanks to you all.
