The supportive staff team are available 24 hours a day to help with any requests from the residents, and clients are able to choose a local GP. An optician, dentist and chiropodist also visit the home.
The area is home to world Famous Notting Hill, Portobello Market, and the annual event of Notting Hill Carnival, a lovely celebration for the residents to have on their doorstep.

My friend did not attend many activities, but they have an activities person who looks after these daily routines. The patient was treated with dignity. The place was secure. The care was excellent.

A M House is very clean and well maintained. I had a chance to speak to the head carer as well as three other carers who were friendly and polite. My mom's room was clean, and although it appeared that something had spilt on the floor and was sticky. I asked about mom's toenails because they appeared very long and needed to be clipped. The carer mentioned that they were in the process of calling a professional nail technician to have that done. Overall, I was very happy with the home and the carers involved.

I have visited my grandmother at Alan Morkill House a number of times. Every time I have been welcomed by friendly members of staff who seem to take pride in their work and are respectful and supportive of the residents. The room my grandmother is staying in is large and cosy, with an ensuite bathroom, she enjoys the view through her window. The main living room has a good atmosphere with comfy chairs. As is unavoidable in such a setting, my grandmother sometimes finds the necessary schedule of the day (for example mandatory meal times) a little waring, but overall she is very positive about the care she receives.

My brother was admitted to Alan Morkill House in April 2025. I have seen my brother settle in due to the excellent care from the staff. The room has been made comfortable to suit his needs. The manager is very kind and deals with any issues. I feel more at ease now I know he is in safe hands.

My mother-in-law, age 97, has been at Alan Morkill for six months now. After years of increasing upset living alone in her own home with advancing dementia, she is now finally settled, calm and safe. This we attribute to the dedication of her carers, her lovely room and opportunities to take part in activities and socialise. Everyone we have spoken to is friendly and helpful, we are kept constantly in the loop regarding medical issues or items that she requires, such as clothing or books. The Manager has been incredibly supportive, understanding and sensitive to the family dynamics. It has been greatly reassuring for us to feel that she is being cared for by such kind people.
