I am just wondering why Headington Care Home housing frail elderly people cannot fix the boiler problems that mean no hot water, no showers, no proper wash for several weeks? Pretty shocking isnt it?? Still charging hefty fees. Where is all that money going?

This care home is truly excellent. I hated having to put my husband of 63 years into a home. The staff are so caring, like a caring family. From the receptionist, to the secretary, the wonderful carers and attentive nurses, both male and female. The laundry comes back correctly, and the kitchen staff
and chef provide beautiful food. The cleaners are really thorough. In my opinion, this can only be because the manager is overseeing it properly. Truly exceptional!!
Reply from Nicola Bramble, Home Manager at Mill House Nursing HomeThank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that your husband feels well cared for and that every part of our team has made a positive difference. Our staff work hard to provide attentive, compassionate care, and it's wonderful to know this has been reflected in your experience. Your kind words will mean a lot to the whole team!

Best wishes,
Nicki

Always excellent the care my husband receives, staff helpful, efficient and polite and friendly.
As I have mobility problems the staff always kindly get a wheelchair and take me to his bedroom, and take me back down to reception for my taxi/lift home. Very kindly are happy to bring me a most welcome
cup of tea. The food is varied and always looks well cooked and enticing. Physio is given daily.

Visited my father, totally unannounced, he is bedridden, but he and his room were clean, tidy and smelling fresh. Staff checked in on us and guided us through his wellbeing and care. Offered us refreshment and supported us during our visit. It is never easy to visit a loved one who has no memory of
you and is a person you lost years ago, but staff always are comforting and informative.
Keep up the good work.

St Katherines Care Home has a wonderful setting and the beautiful grounds with the trees and attractive lawns are a real selling point. The rooms and attached bathrooms are spacious and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. The care staff are friendly, helpful and well trained and show real interest
in the needs of patients/residents in the nursing wing with the regard for their dignity and their welfare (both mental and physical) the food is wholesome, and alternative options are available on request. The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a nurse always available in each wing.

I am very happy to have my Auntie in this care home. The home is kept spotless and if we have a problem, such as the toilet leaking, it is attended to immediately. The staff are wonderful and I have never heard any staff get cross with any of the residents. All the nursing staff are exceptional and
always cheerful and helpful. All in all. This care home is excellent.

A lovely home where the staff work together as a family in giving excellent care. Nicky the manager was so informative, gentle and caring when visiting my Uncle before he moved in. And Helen and Maria were always caring and helpful. The nurses and care staff are amazing in their care, not only when
Uncle moved in but also during his final days, he was treated with dignity, love and respect. Visiting was a joy and whole home has a warm atmosphere and always someone around to offer cups of tea. I cannot thank the staff enough for their love and compassion towards me too, following my Uncle's passing. All staff regardless of their job care about the residents and take an active interest in them. Definitely would recommend Mill House

Everyone at the home friendly and helpful as always. My relative is clearly being well cared for and I much appreciate that, thank you. A facility I would welcome would be a small room with coffee/tea making facilities for visitors. I have a long journey and would welcome a drink but don't want to bother
already busy staff with my requests. Unless of course a room exists which I don't know about?

Although I have filled this in I haven't been around while my husband was in Mill House and he is not able to answer any of my questions. From meeting staff and spending several hours when first arriving at Mill House. I was very happy with what I saw and how my husband was welcomed. Nothing too much
trouble. Room very comfortable and clean, really lovely staff at reception and all that I met. Very happy to leave my husband as I know he is happy amongst you all.
