Can not thank Julie and her team enough. My mum moved here from another care home where she had a really bad time as was not cared for how she should of been. Julie did everything she could to make the move for my mum as smooth and as quick as possible.

She is now in the dementia unit and although she can not express how she feels, you can see a difference in her. This is from her appearance, her mood and how she looks. She is clean, happy and well cared for. She is loving the activities, especially when the pony and dog comes into the home. She loves the food and the staff so thank you to you all.

Thank you for sharing this, it really means a lot to hear.

We know how difficult and emotional a move into a new home can be for everyone involved, especially after a challenging experience elsewhere, so it's wonderful to hear that your mum's transition to Hungerford Care Home was made as smooth...

My mother has been in Hungerford Care Home for almost 15 months now. Every time I visit, all the staff, without exception, are super friendly and caring, and it puts my mind at rest that Mum is being cared for both professionally and compassionately, in a safe environment.

I go to see my cousin every week in a (truly lovely care home), so beautiful. Everyone is amazing, so kind and lovely. Smiles at the door always. Everywhere you go so kind and helpful.
The activities lady is amazing in everything she does. The residents laugh, clap hands, and even get up and join in live music events. (dancing) She is beautiful. She has a heart of gold. Who goes above and beyond.

Love her.

The level of care is excellent. Staff are friendly and upbeat. The home is clean and has undergone some renovation of the hallway floors. Food is average. I live abroad and find it a little difficult with updates on my mum's health and wellbeing. I wish there was better communication.

We cannot thank the team at Hungerford Care Home enough for the exceptional care, kindness and friendship they showed our dear Dad during the 10 very challenging months he spent with them.

At every level, the staff went above and beyond - not only providing excellent medical and personal care, but also taking the time to chat with Dad, get to know him, and treat him with genuine warmth, dignity, and respect. Those small, human moments meant everything to him and to us as a family.

We will always be deeply grateful for the dedication, humanity, and kindness shown to our Dad.

Hungerford Care Home is a truly special place, run by people who clearly care from the heart.

Throughout the 7 years that my brother was resident at the Hungerford Care Home, he received excellent and loving care.
He viewed the home as his 'home', and the team were more like family to him.

I would highly recommend their home to anyone considering residential nursing care for a relative.

So great to have a bit of Christmas market there! The renovations are looking really good. The food was perfect. My only concern was that the room needed hoovering. I appreciate that all the works going on there could be the cause.

To entrust a dearly loved one to anyone but yourself takes a huge leap of faith and you just have to hope that you have found the right place when the person you love so much needs to go in to care.
Well, let me the be the one to reassure you, with the care team at Hungerford Care Home, you can set your fears aside and be completely and utterly reassured your beloved is safe.
The Home is run at the highest levels of professionalism, with high levels of competence, structure and process. The staff - all of them, (from carers, to nurses to cleaners) are long serving and clearly get on, and they manage their extraordinary and relentless workload with compassion, kindness, and patience.
The Home itself is set in beautiful grounds, it is decorated to a high standard and the level of cleanliness is excellent, with constant activities for the residents to get involved in. The food is home cooked and delicious and truly, they are all a delight.

So happy I found them.

Hungerford nursing home has recently been taken over. The care has always been excellent and has remained so. The care and compassion shown to my friend has been remarkable. I am very grateful to all the staff for making her stay there so comfortable and she feels that they are (mostly!) her friends, you can't like everyone.
The building has undergone a transformation and now looks fresh and clean. The grounds are beautiful and I look forward to taking my friend to sit in them in the summer.

I can highly recommend.
