We found St Marys court a wonderful caring , clean stay for my father while he was there.
Staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Above all , staff showed they really did care about the residents and all residents were happy despite all their health troubles.
The food was
of a good standard and plentiful too serving food regularly throughout the day. Plenty of entertainment was provided to residents from various singing music groups to general arts crafts and jigsaw afternoon s.
Also super security in reception ensuring that loved ones would not be able to go out unless accompanied by staff members
Reply from Hazel Joseph, General Manager at St Mary's Court Care HomeThank you for sharing your experience of St Marys Court. It's really lovely to hear that your father had such a positive stay and that you found the home caring and welcoming.

Your comments about the staff will mean a lot to our team. It's so important to us that our residents feel genuinely cared for, and it's nice to hear that this came across during your father's time with us.

We're also glad to hear that the food and the range of activities stood out, from music and singing to arts, crafts and puzzles. Keeping residents engaged and enjoying their day is a big part of life at St Mary's Court.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback.

My father was cared for at St Mary's for 5 1/2 weeks after coming out of hospital, following an infection. We were so impressed with the care and compassion, as dad failed, and was less ad less able to do anything for himself. The end of life care was personal and sympathetic. A great number of the
staff went over and above their call of duty. Thank you.

The staff and management have been excellent in my dad's 6 weeks tenure. It felt as though they were all caring for both him and the rest of us as a family as we watched him for his last 6 weeks. Thank you so much. There are names I would like to mention but obviously won't here. My only complaint would
be the lack of a decent sized lift - Dad has to be put in a wheelchair to be got upstairs, that was 2 days before he passed. Keep up the great care.

Whenever I have visited St Mary's, approximately 5 times per week. I have never left in an unhappy state.
I have experienced, sadness, laughter and most of all, love. My son is happy.

Over the last 6 months, my son has not had a key worker. I have never been told the reason for this.
90% of

your staff have a smile on their faces, what's wrong with the other 10%? I am so critical.

My mum came to St Mary's 3 years ago after deteriorating and needing nursing care. I remember a great sense of relief when mum arrived, knowing she would be well looked after. They reassured me when she arrived, and still now I feel at peace. knowing mum is well looked after. The entertainment and activities
are brilliant, all the staff are loving and caring, and I couldn't ask for a better home for my mum. Thank you, St Mary's.

My mother has been in your care for 4 months now. In that time, she has been given exemplary care, compassion & safety. The food she has been offered, more like a restaurant than canteen. The activities offered are carefully planned and fit for dementia patients. Nothing is too much to ask. The patients
are never forced to do something they object to.

My son moved to St Marys on the 12th July 2024, at first I visited everyday. I have reduced this to 4 days per week.
This reduction is due to his settle in so well, and being so happy. The biggest problem to us both is my hearing problems and his speech difficulties. His has got worse. I enjoy every
visit and see sadness, happiness and love each time thank you. I apologise for my writing.

I am the brother of a resident, and have visited him at St Mary's since he was first taken in as a resident.
I want to say that I am very grateful that he was one of your patients, as I found St Mary's the perfect place for him to be, bearing in mind his age and infirmity.
Your staff are to be commended
for their caring and sympathetic attitude to those in their care. They all seem to go about their duties cheerfully, with patience which reflects very well on your selection and training for what is an unenviable task.
The home itself has always been clean and welcoming. The receptionist is a great asset to your staff, as she is the front line, as it were and the first person to greet you as you enter the building. Her welcoming smile sets the scene for the rest of the visits, and I cannot speak more highly of her, than to tell you, that her welcome is always bright and cheerful.
The office staff, one in particular, have always shown concern and professionalism in their dealings with concerned relatives. They have all been excellent in their care and compassion.
St Mary's is always clean, and this includes all the patients rooms, even their toilet facilities. This does your company great credit.
Suffice it to say, that should the time come, when I need such attention. St Mary's is the place I would choose.
Thank you very much indeed for looking after my brother so well. We will miss all of you now he has passed.

My father spent just under a year at St Mary's Court Care Home and the nursing care support he was given was excellent.
The team at the home made his stay very enjoyable and his medical treatment ensured that he was comfortable initially through stabilising his condition to his passing.
The staff
was so friendly and engaging taking time to socialise with him during his stay and us during visits.
Communication throughout was clear and timely both in terms of his medical support and funding.
Out whole experience with St Mary's Court has made what could have been a very difficult time, a lot more pleasant and manageable and my father and ourselves could not have asked for more.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.741)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.741) out of 10 for St Mary's Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.741 for St Mary's Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (244 Excellents x 5) + (69 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 320 Ratings = 4.741
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Mary's Court Care Home is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 registered maximum number of service users is 18, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
