Lovely people, very friendly, very caring, very professional. Building was warm, clean, tidy, food is excellent. Chicken curry - my favorite). 10/10. You are looking after my mother.

You show her dignity, patience and a little bit of old fashioned love. Thank you very much.

My husband has now been at St Mary's Court Care Home for a year now. I am still so impressed of the high level of care we have always received. The senior staff are very attentive and very much on the ball, while all the carers are so kind, patient and supportive, I always enjoy my visits at St Mary's and feel it's becoming my second home. I know my husband is well looked after, happy and safe. So glad we have found St Mary's.

Dad has been there for 3 months now and it feels like we have snippets of Dad back. He loves the activities and we are pleased to see there is a wide range on offer, some of which we have joined in with and enjoyed on our visits. It feels like the staff have really taken the time to get to know Dad, engage with his silly sense of humour and meet his needs. Knowing he is in very good hands makes a really stressful time a bit easier! Thank you.

I would just like to say from my whole family, that at such a difficult time the staff were amazing. They all showed compassion, empathy and so much kindness.
Every staff member we came across was truly amazing and treated my grandad with such dignity but a special thanks to two members of staff in particular who took time out of their busy days to talk to us and explain the process. As well as caring for my grandad they always made sure the family was okay and was looking out for my nan. They were like our Guardian Angels.

Thank you.

I visited my husband today - I aim to arrive close to supper in order to help him eat and to give the carers a hand too. He was deeply asleep but after about a quarter of an hour he half woke and groaned, also rubbing his head, arm and tummy. I didn't think he was very well. I informed his carer of my concerns. She reckoned he needed to be changed etc., and would let the senior carer know. I went off to the lounge until she was done. When I returned I encouraged him to eat his supper, which he did, but then he began to shake almost as if he was having convulsions. He clearly needed to get back to bed and managed it without my help. I told the nurse who was in charge of meds what had occurred and she came immediately to see my husband. She said once he had had his medication his condition could improve and she would 'phone me later to give me an update. My visit was upsetting but I was confident that my husband was being well looked after.

My elderly father came here for palliative care and was here only for 9 days before he died.
The care was excellent and all the staff were very kind, friendly and compassionate.
Huge thank you to the student nurse and nurse, who were amazing and very informative.

Also the night nurse who was with my father every evening. Huge thank you for your kindness.

Very pleased with the standard of care at St Mary's. I was really worried about Mum coming here and it took her several months to settle but now seems quite contented most of the time. The staff are always very kind and have time for any questions we may have. The food is lovely and Mum has been eating very well. Thank you.

When I arrived my husband was not in his room - he was in another patient's room on the bed sound asleep. The two carers were having difficulty getting him to wake up and return to his room. I tried to no avail. Eventually, they managed to get him back. I was impressed during the whole of my visit at how patient the staff are with him because I know from 4 years of caring for him that he can be very difficult.

My Mum was transferred to St Mary's directly from the hospital, having previously taken an overdose as she didn't want to live anymore. We were astounded on arriving at such a beautiful place and so grateful she had been given the opportunity to stay there. Within a few days, she was transformed into her old self, socialising, laughing and even going out on their minibus to a garden center. She hadn't been anywhere, (other than a hospital appt) for two years. I was amazed, although she is not as mobile now and spent time back in the hospital, I hope she will be able to live her final days in this lovely home.

Thank you for sharing such a personal experience. We are thrilled and privileged to be able to make a difference in your mum's quality of life. The basic need for us to have social experiences is important for good mental health, especially in older people and this is something that we focus on here at St Marys Court. Best wishes to you all.

My mum went into St Mary's for a week of respite care. All the staff were amazing; they were polite, friendly and caring and did everything they could to settle my mum.
Mum was a bit upset on the day of admission - I arranged a phone call and a photo of her happily chatting and smiling in the dayroom later that day; it was very reassuring.

I did not witness food or activities, but Mum gained weight, and I had a phone of her dancing with Elvis.

Well what do I say? What used to be a fantastic home with constant care, as a family confident our mother that was well looked after, is now a disaster. Since being taken over it is horrendous. Such poor quality care staff, food, help, compassion, etc etc. Numerous chats to staff, management, etc always going to be sorted but never is. At our wit's end. Cold food. No cutlery. Cold drink, no drink, buzzing for toilet constantly. The list is endless. So sad for end-of-life care!

The care given to my mum in St Mary’s started off great, but sadly in recent months, it has declined significantly. Recently my mother was left sitting unaided and alone in an unsuitable hard chair in the middle of her room for approximately 1-11/2 hours, she had no alarm, was inadequately dressed and left very uncomfortable and in pain! Personal hygiene for my mum has not been met, and waiting times for personal care have grown progressively longer. Personal needs are not met, and long lengths of time when she has not been monitored. Poor assistance regarding mealtimes. Cold and delayed meals. The list goes on. Why have I not complained you may be thinking? I have on many occasions, putting complaints to management in emails (which has never been responded to or addressed) I would definitely not recommend this care home.

Firstly I want to say how lovely and supportive all of the staff have been. Nothing is too much trouble! The bistro was a life saver, I was living on coffee, biscuits, chocolate and crisps. The problem I found was at the weekends it was closed, I was like one of the residents sleeping in my father's room. Other visitors didn't have that luxury and some could only come at weekends. There definitely wasn't enough staff on nights and weekends.

Lovely visit again this week, from the friendliness of the admin staff as always, the new faces in the office that appear to be listening, approachable and act on concerns, to the care staff on duty today on beech, chatty, friendly, smiling and welcoming. It was lovely to observe residents being offered a choice of drinks and snacks, not just being given to them. The kitchen staff took time to listen and respond, when asked what for lunch today in a jolly manner, my loved one was chatty, alert and happy today which is reassuring.

My Mum stayed in St Mary's Court for three and a half weeks having been sent there from the hospital. We had no idea what to expect having never been there but the warmth and kindness that we experienced when she arrived was wonderful and that continued throughout her time there. The staff both in nursing and carers treated Mum with much love, respect and gentleness and were also very kind to us, her family. Thank you everybody. I would also like to say thank you to the cleaning staff and groundsman for keeping the building and grounds so nice for everybody. It was much appreciated. I would highly recommend St Mary's Court to anyone without any hesitation. Thank you again to all.

It was my mum's first time in a care home for respite, so I was nervous about leaving there. The staff put me at ease and looked after her really well, and she enjoyed the interaction with the staff very much.

So wanted to say a big thank you for looking after her so well, and I'd be happy to leave her there again in the future.

We visited Mum when we came over from Australia. We were really impressed with the level of care, staff interaction, cleanliness and overall positive vibe at the home. The building is of a high quality/standard, and the gardens are very well maintained. With so many activities and outings, the residents appeared happy and engaged. Mum has settled quickly, and all of the staff interact well with her. The good leadership of the team shows in their actions.
