The care given to my mum in St Mary’s started off great, but sadly in recent months, it has declined significantly. Recently my mother was left sitting unaided and alone in an unsuitable hard chair in the middle of her room for approximately 1-11/2 hours, she had no alarm, was inadequately dressed and
left very uncomfortable and in pain! Personal hygiene for my mum has not been met, and waiting times for personal care have grown progressively longer. Personal needs are not met, and long lengths of time when she has not been monitored. Poor assistance regarding mealtimes. Cold and delayed meals. The list goes on. Why have I not complained you may be thinking? I have on many occasions, putting complaints to management in emails (which has never been responded to or addressed) I would definitely not recommend this care home.

Firstly I want to say how lovely and supportive all of the staff have been. Nothing is too much trouble! The bistro was a life saver, I was living on coffee, biscuits, chocolate and crisps. The problem I found was at the weekends it was closed, I was like one of the residents sleeping in my father's
room. Other visitors didn't have that luxury and some could only come at weekends. There definitely wasn't enough staff on nights and weekends.

Lovely visit again this week, from the friendliness of the admin staff as always, the new faces in the office that appear to be listening, approachable and act on concerns, to the care staff on duty today on beech, chatty, friendly, smiling and welcoming. It was lovely to observe residents being offered
a choice of drinks and snacks, not just being given to them. The kitchen staff took time to listen and respond, when asked what for lunch today in a jolly manner, my loved one was chatty, alert and happy today which is reassuring.

My Mum stayed in St Mary's Court for three and a half weeks having been sent there from the hospital. We had no idea what to expect having never been there but the warmth and kindness that we experienced when she arrived was wonderful and that continued throughout her time there. The staff both in nursing
and carers treated Mum with much love, respect and gentleness and were also very kind to us, her family. Thank you everybody. I would also like to say thank you to the cleaning staff and groundsman for keeping the building and grounds so nice for everybody. It was much appreciated. I would highly recommend St Mary's Court to anyone without any hesitation. Thank you again to all.

My experience so far has been totally positive. All the staff are very attentive, patient, supportive and caring.
As yet, I am unable to participate in any of the activities, but I have no doubt that they are all as good as the rest of the care.

We visited Mum when we came over from Australia. We were really impressed with the level of care, staff interaction, cleanliness and overall positive vibe at the home. The building is of a high quality/standard, and the gardens are very well maintained. With so many activities and outings, the residents
appeared happy and engaged. Mum has settled quickly, and all of the staff interact well with her. The good leadership of the team shows in their actions.

My husband was an emergency admission to St Mary's, having already had a week's respite care there. Staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming and offered considerate advice as to his long-term care. I am always made welcome whenever I visit with many staff asking after my own welfare. My
husband is always encouraged to participate in activities, despite him having limited ability to communicate.

I appreciated the care home as looking for a placement for my mum, who was in a respite bed. The home has been very welcoming. Mum has settled in and always tells me how wonderful all the staff are. We could not have been more pleased with the care our father received here. The staff were so attentive and caring. We were kept well informed and made welcome on our frequent visits. We found all the little extra touches of trips, coffee morning, singing and activities all added to the comprehensive

My friend has been in two other homes for respite only for a few months each. One was never again, and one was ok, all fair. However, he was put into the Beech Unit and is very comfortable. Everyone is very nice. The place is bright and clean. With his dementia, his care is excellent. I have personally
been helped by the staff to sort out some difficulties with his GP surgery. Nothing was too much trouble. He is happy. I am not sure how long his stay will be, but he is safe.

I cannot thank St Mary's Court Care Home enough. We have now used their facilities a number of times for respite care for my mother-in-law while my husband and I go on holidays (I am her full-time carer). The staff here are absolutely fantastic. There is such positive energy as soon as you walk in.
Everyone is happy, smiling, socialising and upbeat. There are several people to help us get settled in straight away. I love how friendly and kind everyone is. Every time I have picked her up from respite, she is just beaming from ear to ear, super happy, and very well-groomed - hair is clean and brushed, and her nails had been cut (she won't let me cut them, so I am grateful), and she even said her hair had been trimmed! She just fully enjoys her time here, and it's evident every time I pick her up. She also loves the food, which is amazing because she is a very fussy eater at home! They take such good care of her (and all their residents), and I just honestly can't thank them enough.

There is a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are very willing to please, a little more training in some areas would be valuable. There is a choice of food, the quality good, but it could be served hotter. Activities are encouraged, social gatherings for coffee in the morning is good for interaction

Since my husband became a resident in the care home, my son and I have been overwhelmed by the love, care and attention her has received. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff in whatever capacity, and they are always there to help and advise us. Initially, we both wondered if we had done the right

Everywhere clean, tidy and hazard proof. Spacious rooms. My mother said the food is really good. Staff friendly, helpful, caring and professional. Any problems with anything are solved quickly. The only downside is the dees are high.
