Review of Mill House Nursing Home from L M (Niece of Resident) published on 31 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My uncle has been a resident at Millhouse for a year. The family know that he is very well looked after and his needs are being met. He is a shy but sociable gentleman and enjoys I know all the activities that he takes part in. The staff are always courteous, polite and cheerful and clearly the food is very nutritious and tasty as he has put on a little weight since moving there. I know from my recent visit to him in July 2026 he is content and definitely feels at home. Thank you to all the team for an amazing job you all do. Keep up the great work.

My mother has settled in well at Emberbrook + loves all the staff who are always friendly, caring, kind + professional. She has a comfortable room with an attractive outlook. All areas are kept clean + tidy. The dining room is very pleasant + downstairs the cafe provides a quiet space with refreshments for visitors. This opens to a carefully tended + pretty garden filled with seasonal plants flowers shrubs which Mum enjoys visiting. There is a varied + entertaining programme of events each week enthusiastically rn by the activities team. Thank you Emberbrook for providing a safe haven for Mum at this difficult time in her life.

My husband came to Lucton House with Alzheimer's and following a couple of falls at home. We have found the carers here to be very considerate of his care and safety around the home. Some of the staff are very apathetic. The room was extremely hot, and fans had been removed. I can say that the deputy manager, whose office is on the 1st floor was very helpful and friendly. Cleo, the activity organiser, is a breath of fresh air. Please consider some of her suggestions. Residents sit in front of the television as the day's main activity. Have asked several times for the relatives' minutes, but this has not been sent to me either. I have been in communication with Dido and her assigned social worker from Adult Social Services.

Review of Hatfield Nursing Home from Anna R (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website

My mum moved into Hatfield Nursing home in January. My mum was a little reluctant, however I have seen her confidence grow. She is at high risk of falls and is always worried about falling. The care she has received has been compassionate and her dignity has always been maintained. The team always keep me updated of any concerns. The manager is very welcoming and will always greet with a smile and make effort to ask how my visit went. Thank you to everyone for all they do for my mum. I now can go home and not worry as previously when she was at home.
