View Full Details of Knights Court Nursing HomeThis was my first time coming to this care home to see my aunt and I was amazed at how clean, tidy and friendly the staff and environment was. My aunt seems very happy there and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, yet very professional. The food looked really nice and smelled nice too. The day I visited, the home manager held a 'thank you' party for all of her staff to appreciate all the hard work they do, it was great to see this. The manager is also very polite, and full of positive energy and you can see that her staff really appreciate her. Overall, it was a very good first impression and I'm happy my aunt is staying there. Well done to the manager for leading a great team.
Knights Court is not just a nursing home that gives excellent care it also makes sure that the residents enjoy a home from home experience! The activities they do with the residents are brilliant ( thank you to all the staff for all you do for all the residents) I managed our family care home with my parents for many years. So I know when care is very good. The home is always perfectly clean and always has a lovely atmosphere.
Since the start of my grandmother's care at Knight Court in October, I have seen that the staff are very welcoming and thoughtful to ensure her care needs are met. They respond to adjustments and feedback, as well as making sure to communicate updates promptly. The living environment is very clean and happy, whenever we visit we can that all the staff are trying their best for everyone. The care home is safe and thankfully close to home. Over time, I have seen that they have provided more support to ensure my grandma is treated well and looked after.
Staff are amazing. A few nurses could engage with residents a little more. The food is vile. Choice is limited if doing spicy give a choice, if doing a beef or chicken curry do a stew same meat different choice. When serving rice or noodles both meals choices should not have them. Food presentation is awful. I try not to be here at meal times it upsets me so much.
Very good home and caring staff and management. They look after my wife very well. They let us take her out for day trips and lunch. Management are really kind to me and my wife, My wife is support all the time.
I am here 3-4 hours a day for the last two years and I am very pleased with everything. The staff are fantastic and the management is great. A really happy, well organised place to be, full of love, great care & kindness.
It almost 2 years since my dad moved into the Knights Court Care home. He is very happy there, the nurses and carers are all very friendly, helpful, and fond of him. The care home is always very clean, tidy, and hygienic. The care home location is ideally situated for our family as it is close by and easily accessible via M25 and M1. The train and bus station and the local shopping centre are within walking distance and there are plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby. I would recommend this care home.
My husband went into Knights Court a few weeks ago, after being in hospital, and has settled down very well. The staff are helpful, friendly and kind and seem very professional. Precautions are being taken so that he does not fall (as he was prone to) and I feel confident that he is being well looked after and monitored regularly.
Professional staff, well turned out, smiling, willing to help, what more could a relative ask for? Add to that the clean non-odour atmosphere, pleasant decor, very proud of telling other relatives where my aunt is.
A warm, friendly atmosphere where the manager and staff are welcoming and helpful. I’ve been satisfied with the care that my husband has received within the home since his admission in 2017. There’s an outdoor garden where you can sit with your loved ones. There's also local shops and an open space recreation ground nearby where you can enjoy the scenery and feed the wildlife. I’d recommend this care home in a heartbeat.
Our lovely mum was transferred to Knights Court in May 2022. She had been recovering in hospital for 2 months from a fall, due to her severe state of dementia. Before the fall, Mum had been living at home with Dad. Both are in their 90s. As a family, we had never heard of Knights Court. The thought of Mum being put in a home was a frightening one for all. The opposite has been the experience we are still living through. My dad who visits every day is welcomed and is included in every aspect of Mum's care. As a large family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren we are often seen in the home celebrating family events and always including our mum. We see Knights Court as an extension of our parents' Home.
As you walk into Knights Court Nursing Home you are greeted by a lovely jolly receptionist. The nurses, carers, cleaners and all staff including the maintenance man work so hard but they still find time to cheer me up with a nice smile or words of comfort. My room is always spotless, also the dining room and other areas are constantly cleaned. My visitors remark on this each time they come to visit me. Well done having such special staff.
I have monitored my sister's care for some considerable time. This includes my own views and the views of friends that visit my sister. I am pleased to say that her health has improved due to the care and attention she has received from the medical staff and the carers. A team effort. I find the staff professional and friendly in what is a difficult and demanding job. My sister is lonely at times and with activities which she enjoys and the visits she receives, they help to reduce the situation. I try to speak to my sister regularly and my only issue is the fact that I cannot always get through to her. This is probably down to the staff being busy. I am not complaining, just informing.
The only negative I can say regarding Mum's stay at this excellent nursing home was I wish she could have enjoyed the caring, friendly, compassionate environment longer in her final weeks with us. Although Mum's stay was brief, I cannot fault the wonderful staff at all. Everything you could wish for for your loved one is thought of and carefully taken care of by this most caring home. Highly, highly recommended.
My mum has been in Knights Court Nursing Home for nine years and is well looked after. The staff are amazing.
My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and cannot walk or look after herself. She has been here for a year now and we cannot be more happy with the way that she has been taken care of. Staff are friendly, caring, helpful and understanding, they create such a welcoming atmosphere. They keep me informed of any issues, medical or otherwise, either when I visit or by telephone if necessary. They organise many activities to keep her occupied and amused. There is a good choice on the food menu which is changed daily and Mum finds it very tasty. The corridors, patient areas and rooms are continually cleaned throughout the day and she has a spacious room with en suite facilities and a pleasant view of the garden.
I have only been here six months, the care I receive is very good. Carers try to spend as much time as they can with me. The activities team try to provide me with as many things as they can, even though I can't join the other residents. Management have all met me and have been good to me. I can't really fault much of the care I am provided.
My mother, aged 94, was referred to Knights Court Nursing Home by the palliative team from the local hospital in August, as she is unable to look after herself and has severe health issues. The care home was quick to reply and offer a placement, after agreeing to admit her following a telephone consultation with the hospital. I visited the home before my mother was admitted, where I found the staff extremely helpful. It was very clean, friendly and welcoming. I asked residents and their relatives their opinions on the home and everyone I spoke to was very complementary and praised the staff highly. Since being a resident, my mother has gained some weight as she is eating 3 meals a day, she is complementary regarding the catering. The staff are marvelous, they can't do enough for my mother and keep me informed whenever I visit. I am delighted with the care and support my mother is given from the on site medical team, Deputy Manager, maintenance team and all the care providers.
My mother has been a resident at Knights Court since October 2022 and I have been pleased with the general care and attention provided by the nursing and care staff. All staff have been very kind to my mother and exhibit an understanding of her needs that is comforting for the family. The property generally is kept clean by an efficient team and hygiene is clearly a priority. The admin team are very helpful and I am kept up to date if there is a rare medical issue which is promptly referred to and remedied by the visiting doctor. In all very satisfactory.
The staff are so caring here. They go above and beyond their jobs and treat all the residents with the utmost care. The facilities here are really good compared to other places and they have a lot of group/solo activities for the residents. There’s always a great choice of food and they also have ample fridge space if residents have something brought in. The rooms are spacious with lovely views of their garden. All the staff have been amazing to myself and my grandmother and I cannot compliment them enough!
